“Everything we ordered was delicious. We got the shrimp sandwich, chicken katsu sandwich, seasoned fries, and the gyoza. Everything tasted so fresh and I was most impressed with the bread. It was crisp and soft in all the right ways. We will be back.“

“This place was a delightful surprise! I was picking people up at the airport and we had some time so we stopped in here and got pad Thai and it was exceptionally tasty! I have eaten thousands of pad Thais and most places are too sweet, too bland, too dry but I was a fan of this one. The noodles are a bit wider so not standard but I loved the flavor! The green curry was also good! The small plate Korean tacos at first looked a bit small and I think there could be more meat or other veg but I loved all the greens and the sauces and the meat was SO flavorful! I will definitely be returning when I have o’hare pickups. The staff was friendly. I had some questions about gluten free and the older gentleman could not answer them. The gluten free menu is a bit limited so if you have restrictions know there are like 3 options but they were great! I ended up having a miscommunication and ordered two pad Thais and honestly it was so good I was glad to have left overs!“

“We celebrated a birthday with family here and had a delicious dinner. We started with a few appetizers of Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna and Calamari. We also shared some entrees: Filet Mignon, Braised Short Rib, Yellowtail Collar, Blufish Bowl, Nabe Yaki Udon and Tempura Udon. The food tasted fresh and was served hot. The service was quick and the staff was quick to clear our dishes as they were emptied.“

“Forbidden noodles' primarily culinary focus is Japanese Ramen and stir fry selections. The curry is good and tastes very much like the mild golden ramen brand Japanese curry that I make at home occasionally. The chicken and broccoli added to the standard rice and carrot/potato curry mixture were of good quality. The Tonkotsu had very good pork, and surprisingly, it included broccoli as well. The more common ramen garnishes of onions, baby bock choy, egg, naruto (fish cake), and seaweed were also in this bowl and tasted good. They have a cheese, steak, and jalapeño egg roll that was amazing, and yes, you should try one. Forbidden Noodles is a great addition to downtown La Grange and for this area, this is a good choice for ramen in the area. If you are searching for your favorite bowl of ramen anywhere around chicagoland, feel free to check my reviews of alternate ramen restaurant options.“

“The concept: Chipotle but for a Korean Dish.I was skeptical - a lot of restaurants create disappointing fusions with English translations which usually means highly Americanized food. However, seeing purple rice on the menu promptly changed my mind and I decided it was worth visiting. No Regrets! To the point that one of us had been back a few times within the same week. The quality of food did not disappoint.“
“Went for the family dinner. It's a very intimate space as soon as you walk in. Ethan and staff are so friendly and accommodating. We were greeted with some crunchy thin beef jerky and a spicy sauce. Salmon rillete and fresh spring veggies, followed by an 18 hour crunch potato with tartare and roe (my favorite large bite) a nice scallop akin to me like an aguachile. A really earthy curry soup with fresh hers and sans coconut milk. Then came the fried chicken and sides. The fried chicken was every by as good as advertised with the nice flavor and my kee go to fried chicken sauce (lime and fresh black pepper). A nicely fried fresh fish followed by a huge ribeye. Closed off with a dulce de leche ice cream. It's been my meal of the year as of June 23. I have told everyone to try to secure the very difficult reservation. Well worth the wait“

“A local/neighborhood gem. Their food is better than the neighbor across the street and to the west (Jess Cafe does have better smoothies though). The Sesame chicken is our favorite, but everything is great. Staff is always friendly.Sometimes it is hard to get through when placingphone orders, but call back. Its worth it.“

“A Stellar Experience at Monster Ramen: A Michelin-Star Worthy FeastLast night, we embarked on a culinary adventure, driving an hour from Naperville to the much-acclaimed Monster Ramen. Our expectations were high, but the reality far exceeded them. The moment we stepped inside, the ambience enveloped us in a warm embrace, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The highlight of our evening was undoubtedly the Loaded Gyoza. Each bite was a symphony of flavors and textures, harmoniously blending to create a dish that was nothing short of bombastic. However, the true star of the night was the signature Monster Ramen. The noodles, broth, and meticulously chosen toppings came together in a divine combination, delivering a taste that was not just good, but transcendent. Our journey from Naperville was rewarded with a meal that was not just a dinner, but a celebration of culinary excellence. Monster Ramen has not only earned a place in our hearts but deserves a spot among the stars of the Michelin guide. This is a place that truly redefines the ramen experience, making every mile driven to get there and the wait was absolutely worth it.“

“Our waitress Brooke was amazing. Although we had to wait for a table well over our reservation time, she made up for it. She was very upbeat and willing to be as helpful as possible. She made light of the situation. Her presence was very positive.Vegetarian options: Mao Po tofu“

“Great place for date night or a special occasion. One of our favorites for any occasion. We usually don't order sushi, but end up with a table full of appetizers and small plates. It is so delicious that we often forget that there is sushi (which is also good).AND some very interesting cocktails. I wish they would come up with a bigger cocktail menu, as the drinks they have are just so interesting.“

“Extremely tasty Asian food in a great neighborhood! The staff is very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is very relaxed with the fireplace and plenty of space. They have tofu options which is a nice treat and everything was season very well and came out piping hot. You can’t beat the price for the quantity of food provided either. Highly recommend the veggie egg rolls and Mongolian tofu!“

“When I first went, I only had a bubble tea since I was bowling at Classic Bowl. Their avocado bubble was delish. But then decided to go back another time to try their burgers since I saw really good reviews. IT WAS AMAZING. Their Seoul burger and fries were so good and I’m very particular with my burgers. Probably my favorite burger place in the Chicagoland area on the same level if not better than Au Cheval.“
