“Came here for a lox bagle due to recommendations from a buddy of mines and man I'm glad I did because the lox bagle was filling and top tier for sure.
Pretty classic lox bagle with sweet onion , cream cheese , capers , tomato and a ton of salmon lox.
While being a bit more pricier than other spots like the daily bagle , I would much rather come here for a filling meal. I can see why this place has been in business for over 65 years , the bagle was light, crispy and had a nice chew.
The only con was the coffee and if you like mcdonalds coffee you'll like it but if you enjoy a nice cup from spots like metropolis, intelligentsia and kribi coffee you won't care for it.
Needless to say , I'll be back to try the rest of the menu.“

“Today was our first time in this store. Well, it was great! The owner is very very customer friendly and knows a lot about meat and derivates. He gives us semples to taste from every meat from the shelves. Everything was very tasty and without preservatives or chemicals. His way of treating clients remainds me of small very good stores from my country in Europe, where everyone knows everyone.“

“We had a memorial reception at Angelo's yesterday. Everyone was very happy and well taken care of. The was delicious, as always. We had 50 people - 10 more than expected - and the staff accommodated all without a hitch. Great restaurant!“

“The best goulash and meat products.They do smoke the sausage and salmon here. Steaks are high quality, aged well.
Vegetarian options: Stuffed peppers with rice and vegetables, delicious cabbage,Feta goat cheese .

“It's a shame that there are so few of these delis left in the area; there used to be three or four along a couple of miles of Archer down here (including Bobak's), but I guess the demographics no longer supports them. It was a joy to find this place by accident.We go to this tiny place mainly for the beet borscht, bigos (to DIE for!), and pierogis. I smiled when I noticed they actually have wooden barrels of kapusta and pickled cukes wedged into a rear corner.They have all different kinds of fresh pierogi and, for such a small space, a pretty good sausage/meat selection. I know very little about East European sausage names, but it would probably be wise to call ahead if you are looking for a certain kind.“

She is a great person- to chat with , very sweet and makes you feel a rockstar because she remembers you, your name and your family members! Beautiful store owner with exceptional people skills! “I had a wonderful lunch in this cozy establishment. I conveniently ordered ahead so it would be ready when my lunch break started. The staff greeted me and packed my bag. I ordered a cup of the mushroom bisque soup and a roast beef on ciabatta sandwich. LOVED BOTH! I’m now excited for the future times I forget to bring my lunch to work. :) I will be back and I want to bring my sister and my grandma. I think they would love to buy some specialty condiments and gourmet dips I saw that they have for sale!“
“After Vesecky (bakery) in Berwyn closed several months ago, preceeded by the loss of Bohemian Crystal (restaurant) about a year earlier; we thought it was no longer worth the 3+ hr drive up to the Chicago suburbs to satisfy our Czech food cravings. We were wrong; as finding this little gem was such a fortunate happenstance. The cream of mushroom soap is wonderful, the breaded pork tenderloin excellent, the strudel addictive, the kolacky tasty, etc etc etc... And; they have jaternice, cream sausage, head cheese, etc. all of which is virtually non-existent in mid-north Indiana. This is the type of east-European ethnic deli/eatery that is becoming harder and harder to find; thank goodness we spotted it. If one enjoys Czech cuisine, this is a "must" visit.“
“Delicious empanadas. Very light and flaky dough, a change from how "grandma used to make" are home, but not at all on a bad way, just a different twist. Lots of specialty food items from Argentina not easily found elsewhere. Worth a drop in if your in the neighborhood.“

“They have paczki all year long. No need to search for a doughnut shop, this is what you need. The normal flavors are rose, apricot, raspberry and plum. They're all good but I was surprised that the rose paczki was delicious. Sometimes they have a custard filled chocolate iced paczki like a boston cream doughnut.“

I'm flying by. I love our food. Despite the reviews, I was in the store today and took some food, and honestly everything was super and fresh, plus the saleswoman was a very nice woman, she explained everything and showed me, I paid $12 for three dishes. How to cook at home .I will come again

“We went here for lunch with 7 of us not realizing it was a smaller place. The manager set up a larger table for us and even waited on us! The staff was absolutely outstanding. The food was great as well. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.“
“Great place for snacks and drinks. A little pricey, but convienent for the area. The cashiers are nice and usually let you off if you have a little less than what you're exposed to have. I usually get a drink and a bag of chips and head back to the park with my friends. Costs 2 to 3.5 if you get chips and a drink.“

“I walked in one rainy day, and I never have been to this deli store, and I asked the man for a tunafish sandwich. It was the best tunafish sandwich I have ever eaten in my life. The bread was fresh. The tuna fish was fresh, the seasonings, he put Italian seasonings on this tuna fish sandwich, I will specially go to Elmhurst to eat this food. It is so good you need to try this place.“
