“My husband is from Paducah. So 16 years ago he introduced this great diner to me. And I instantly fell in love. Sandwiches are to this day reasonably prices. They have amazing ham by the pound for sale too. To take with you. which is the best flaky ham ive ever eaten. Now, that bottle of Starnes sauce. Is FIRE. (the hot) If you like spicy this sauce is for you. We keep stocked up with it now that we've moved away to Missouri. Great atmosphere, great service, best BBQ sandwiches I've had. And we travel alot. It's a local jem. That's forsure. Definitely check them out.“

“The BEST! My mom and dad would always order a shoulder to bring back to michigan after visiting Ollie and Viola Holt from Wickliffe….Its been a long time since I’ve been (stuck in michigan) but this is the BEST and the bar b q sauce is so delicious! Hope the building hasn’t changed! I highly recommend your place! The pork is so tender and delicious!

“Reviews brought us in on our way from Florida to Minnesota. It is an older building with dated decor but the parking lot was adequate for our truck and trailer. The service was prompt and friendly enough and the food, although the buffet had few options, was very tasty. Left full and content. Prices were good. If you order from the menu there are many more options. Worth the stop.“

“I love backwoods bbq but after spending $41 and getting enough to make 4 sandwiches and some potato salad I will probably not be going back anytime soon. I get it things are not cheap right now but this is ridiculous.“

“Great bbq place! Ordered small bbq sandwhich, for so.e reason I went with sweet instead of my normal hot bbq sauce, glad I switched it up, was so yummy! I added bacon which I highly recommend. I'll be back to try the hot bbq sauce another day when im coming thru town!“

“EVERYTHING WAS GREAT WITH MY FOOD. OUR SERVER,KAYLA,,WAS VERY ATTENTIVE AND COURTEOUS. However the manager,who I asked my server about, named Frank, kept coming by & asking if we were ready to pay..which we were not! I was going to get dessert but finally just paid him after the second time of him asking. I've never felt so rushed! Then, as we were leaving, he was cursing at the hostess..saying "what a b☆☆☆h!" My 10 yr old niece heard him, too! I told him how unprofessional and wrong he was for his actions. Hard to believe this guy is actually a manager! Wow. We wont be back. That guy should be fired!“
