“Still dreaming about brunch at this farm-to-table gem. From the moment we walked in, the cozy atmosphere made us feel so welcome. The late morning light streaming through big windows gave the space an inviting, lived-in feel. We ordered the Farmer’s Breakfast and the Eggs Benedict, and both dishes absolutely delivered. The simple ingredients were done perfectly: Every bite tasted fresh, hearty, and thoughtfully sourced—comfort food elevated by quality.
The Eggs Benedict were impressive. It was indulgent but balanced, rich yet light enough to leave room for another sip of my mimosa.The cherry on top was the staff’s genuine warmth which maked the experience even sweeter. “Wonderful time in the Igloo at The Coast Guard House. We had a devoted, interesting waiter, Johnny who kept us entertained and well fed. They had to fix the door to the Igloo, as the latch wouldn't keep the door closed, but they acted quickly to take care of it and we were warm and toasty inside.“

“We decided to try a different pizza place after hearing good things about this place. Everything we read was spot on, we had some of the best pizza we’ve had in a long time.

In true tavern style the crust had just the right amount of crunch. They have 2 sauce options, sweet & garlic. ( I ordered sweet, but next time we’ll try the 50/50 version) My wife is really picky about onions on a pizza, she liked the ones The Great American uses.

We will totally be ordering from here again.

“This is the newest Cooper's hawk. The facilities themselves are beautiful. This is a really cool place to eat.

The wine that we had was awesome, and our waitress was incredible. It was a great place to go for my mom's birthday.

I think the only feedback I would give is that while the food was very good, it was a bit cold when it came out.

All of our french fries were just a bit over room temperature. My mashed potatoes same thing, get yourself out hot and you get five stars.

Overall a very good dining experience and definitely recommend it.“

“We arrived here on a Sunday mid day when the place was not busy but within 30min there were so many families with unruly screaming kids we were wondering if this is a kindergarden party or a restaurant? We took a booth near the entrance and fortunately these big families were placed a bit further away, I felt so sorry for the poor old couple who had 3 screaming girls right near them - many old people are in poor health just like me and trust me, high pitched screaming are not helping when trying to eat ideally quietly. Apart from that, the food was great and had: amazing waffle chips, then steak while I had ribs for the first time in a long time - licking my fingers, of course. Staff was nice and friendly yet I sensed they are not allowed to tell these big families with screaming kids to quieten down, so I kind of feel sorry for the staff - management, think of a solution if you want to have mature people coming back here!!!“

“Three stars for atmosphere because let's be honest, it's in a gas station. The food though is absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend a polish with just grilled onions and mustard or a delicious cheeseburger. The cheeseburgers a nicely pit together not just thrown together like you get at the fast food places. KThe grilled onions are SOOOO good! Fries come with most options so don't over do it and accidentally buy extra. The fries are always crisp, hot, and well seasoned.“

“Wanted to give a huge shout out to the Joliet location. We stopped there after taking my grandmother to the casino and she didn’t have her wheelchair. She walks but very slowly. The staff was super kind and made sure she had a walkway and opened all the doors for her. They didn’t rush her or make her feel bad for taking a while! They cared and were so helpful! “I have to write a super positive review about a waitress here. This is my favorite place to have a wholesome, down to earth, old-fashioned breakfast or lunch. The food is so tasty and done well but the main reason I comeback is because of the waitress Suzanne! She is so personable and attentive. She lives in the area so you can converse with her about local issues and know she is feeling the pain about things going on in our town right now. She's gentle and funny and really knows her stuff. I depend on her recommendations often. She is a hidden treasure in Joliet and should be recognized for the exceptional job she brings to her job.“
