“I just love this little restaurant!! I have breakfast there at least once every time I visit family in Avondale. It’s cute, it’s clean and the staff are so friendly and inviting. The food never disappoints. Several options of eggs Benedict, French toasts, the whole lot. The omelets are huge. The staples are all just as tasty too. And the food cooks up fast. Today I had the house salmon eggs Benedict and it’s just a tasty as the first time I had it.Marlene was my waitress and she was just so kind and never let me water get below half full. Skillets are so delicious filled with unique flavor, and don't forget to try the coquito latte creamy and smooth done to the last drop. The food is fantastic and I very much enjoy everything from the Bacon Temptation Omelette to the Spicy Poblano Omelette to the Crispy Chicken Sandwich to the Cowboy Burger. All of the food is fabulous and very well prepared, the variety is wonderful, and the coffee is always fresh. And above all, Ivan and the waitstaff provide customer service that's 'above and beyond' in every way. “THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!!! I got the Vegan Egg Substitute sandwich with the soy chorizo and it was so good. I haven’t been able to eat eggs since I became intolerant to them and this was so satisfying. I know Brioche has eggs in it, but the bread doesn’t bother me.

I took off one star on the food because I ordered a Lumber Jack special which has a steak on it steak was really simple if they add some seasoning it would be much better. “We stumbled upon Flying Saucer while visiting Chicago and are glad we did. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is fun with nice indoor and outdoor seating options. The staff were friendly, helpful and on top of it. This is the type of restaurant I wish I had in my neighborhood. If you’re in the area it’s a must visit.“

“Met some friends for a weekday breakfast. I've been going to this location for many years, when it was Eggshell, but this was my first time visiting under the new Scrambled ownership. The atmosphere is lovely, big, comfortable, and easy to get a table. The service was great...fast, attentive.

My only complaint is that my Cali Bacon Avocado Scrambler was way overcooked. The bacon was painfully hard and crunchy, the eggs were dry and so mixed with other things that it was like tiny bits vs normal scrambled egg chunks. I could barely taste them over the grilled onions. It was topped with a tiny bit of avocado slices...like one quarter of a mini avocado, and the cheese was mixed in sporadically.

The prices have gone up a lot from some of the menus posted...see the black background one that lists this item at $15.50. It came with a choice of potatoes or fruit, and toast or pancakes. I played it healthy with fruit and toast, both of which were good. Overall...nice place, would not reorder this Chef's Choice item again, and the prices seemed high for the quality of the food.“

The interior is very cute and retro with lots of fun decor on the walls. I ordered the 2x2x2 and the pancakes were super thick and yummy, and the eggs were some of the best over medium I’ve ever had, no exaggeration. My brother got the patty melt with fries and the free cup of soup- what a steal! The server was friendly and prompt. My only slightly negative is that it was a little warm inside for my preference, but it was a super hot day when I visited. If I’m in the area, I will be back!“
