“I had to order quite a bit of  food for a lunch for my family and I before we were supposed to be going to a wedding. We stayed at a hotel nearby and knew that we would not eat dinner until much later and needed something to hold us over. This place was the perfect option.
Not only was I able to get the prices over the phone, the people who work here texted me pictures of food, sent prices and confirmed sizes with me and gave recommendations about how much to get for how many people, including telling me how long before I needed to order to make sure I got my order ready in time for pick up since I was ordering in advance.
The Afghani palaou was fantastic, as was the garlic and spicy green sauce.
I especially loved the mix kabobs and I wish they had this option at all afghan/ pakistani places. The option to get a mix tray of kabobs with the pieces cut up would be a game changer for parties!
I ordered a small tray of salad thinking not many people would like it (but I like salad so I figured I would have leftovers for later), but to my surprise that was gobbled up quick! Everyone loved it. I'm a fan of this place and plan on dining in when I come next!“

But honestly, what sets Hwangsoh Grill apart is the banchan (side dishes). The spread is incredible—kimchi, white kimchi, potatoes, pasta salad, and a variety of other delicious Korean dishes. They’re all made with such care and really elevate the whole experience.

The staff here, especially the friendly ladies, make you feel so welcome. The atmosphere is perfect for group outings, especially if you’re in the mood for some soju and a lively drinking scene. Even though we live in Chicago, we find ourselves coming back to Hwangsoh Grill again and again. It’s just that good!“

“We were there last Tuesday great place to eat at. The servers were great to us welcomed us there. I met the owner of the restaurant the food is made fresh when you order we are coming back again next week Tuesday after my DR appointment. Great people I liked the way the servers check on you see what you need I do recommend this place to try if you out an about or need something to eat please check them out thank you so much we will come back next week. “My family comes by rather frequently but i've never left a review. The food is Exceptional. The chicken satay with the peanut sauce is full of flavor and tender. The kanom jeeb is cooked to perfection as well, it had a very nice and tender texture. Additionally, their thai curry, pad see ewe, and fried rice are full of flavor and portioned very generously. Apart from food the service is very nice and friendly. Overall very good, give it a try.“
