“A friend brought me here for my birthday. It is a bit loud inside, but it is neat and clean with nice decor, lots of plants. :) the menu is all vegan, and has a variety of food styles. The appetizers are generous and good to share. While the entree portions are small, we did not leave hungry. The little dessert sampler they brought for my birthday was a perfect way to taste the sweets.Dietary restrictions: All veganKid-friendliness: Kids menu“
“Penelope's Vegan Taqueria Andersonville hits the spot! Honestly, this is probably the best vegan Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to. The portions are a nice size with many great menu options. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food and ambiance are great. The Chunky Quesa Taco (cheddar cheese quesadillas taco topped with asada, onion, cilantro, lettuce, tomato and green salsa) is a must try! Overall, if you visit, you will not regret it!“
“I love the food, as a vegetarian it's hard to find options when eating out and this place delivers. The prices are high, but the portions are decent. My only suggestion would be not to charge extra for a little extra sauce. It ruins the experience and I don't know if you gain anything by doing that.“
“I have been to Pantera Superfoods on multiple occasions for smoothie bowls. Their bowls are delicious and the owner is so kind. I am so excited to have this place in Edgebrook. I used to drive to Bucktown for smoothie bowls. Great option on the NW side for a healthy lunch.“
“Ate there for the first time tonight. I am vegan and my husband is an Omni. Chef Bill came out and waited on us personally, and gave us menu recommendations, all of which were delicious! The ambiance was so relaxing and peaceful; it was a nice respite from a busy day and I didn’t want to leave. Reasonably priced as well: shared appetizer, two teas, two entrees, and two desserts was $60. Will definitely be back for many more dinners!“
“These scones are AMAZING! He had bagels one day, and it was quite the treat. My grandfather has been a regular customer for years, and can confirm the quality is consistent and customer care is superb. Many people think of scones as dry, but these are wonderfully moist! My suggestions would be the apple cinnamon or strawberry scones for a first time try.Dietary restrictions: They had options for vegan and gluten free sensitivities. Not all options are gluten free, but are clearly labeled as such.“
“100% Vegan Restaurant & delicious Burgers! I have ordered the following items and will rate them with the help of my tastebuds and opinion! My favorite burger was the „Korean BBQ Chik‘n Burger" with added ranch. 5/5 - Soft, tasty, juicy burger buns and delicious chik‘n! The second favorite burger was the Mammoth Burger! Also great taste! Both came with a side of fries. The fries are regular fries. Fries: 3.5/5 in addition to the fries, I ordered sauces/dips: ranch dip: 5/5. Sriracha Aioli: 2.5/5 spicy and little to almost neutral taste. Next burger in my personal ranking would be the Buffalo Chik‘n. I have been a vegan now for close to 4 years. I do however remember the tastes of food from before I was vegan. This here burger may not be my favorite because I never really was a buffalo fan I. The first place BUT! Very authentic and close to its original taste. Therefor, I can recommend this to the Buffalo lovers! Last burger in my ratings is the „Eleburger" the name made me curious, I ate it and it's classic, standard, nothing out of the ordinary burger. 3.5/5. in my opinion, the mustard taste was slightly too dominant. All in all, I will say that this is a great place to order from! I never visited the restaurant itself and only ordered and can therefore not speak on the actual restaurant itself. It is however a wonderful experience, ordering from a 100% vegan restaurant, without having to ask about animal cruelty free ingredients. 100% plant based and I can and will recommend this Restaurants menu! I have pictures, they may not look fantastic; but the taste sure was. Enjoy and Bon Appetit! Take care! #Veganuary“
“This was first visit and I am impressed with the food. Ordered ginger chicken and summer rolls. Both very good. Prices are reasonable and they have seating inside for dining in. I will be back! I am excited to try some more dishes. The people are also very nice and great service. As a side note, they do not serve any wine/beer/cocktails.“
“Visited this PBK location for the first time today. It was pristine and bright inside. All three of the staff members were equally cheery and kind. Maddie, in particular, was phenomenal!! She helped customize my order and with genuine joy, too! Will be returning for sure!!!“
“Happy I was finally able to try this place! I tried the Baykin sandwich, and it was filling. The plain cream cheese lacked flavor. I wouldn't mind trying the flavored one for next time. Other than that, the pickle they gave with it was very crunchy. They have some available tables with seats. Takeout was fast and easy.“
“This place is absolutely amazing in many aspects. Front of the house staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and overall, excellent. Back of the house excelled in preparation and presentation. Highly recommended for vegans, vegetarians, and carnivores alike!“
“I really wanted to love-love this place. Cool art deco meets art nouveau atmosphere. Smilish novelties for sale. Good enough chai and menu offerings. But man, a simple “hi” attitude and a some background music would go a long way in this joint. After all, today is the greatest…. (P.S. awesome Chop Suey sign!!)“
“The place is cute and colorful inside with limited seating, and they have a few tables/chairs outdoors as well. As others have mentioned, it is pricy, but both bowls were delicious. We got the love-a-bowl and the OG açaí. I would definitely come back!“
“Great experience. This restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere with great music . Nothing fancy but very welcoming! The owner is super friendly and happy to explain the menu and make recommendations. The food was incredible. We can’t wait to go back.“
“1st time. Had Eggs Benedict. Came with potatoes with peppers and onions. Everything was delicious. Will be back. The menu is loaded with ideas including vegetarian dishes too. Friendly staff. I saw the dessert case on my way out, looked yummy.Wheelchair accessibility: Street level, no stairs.“
“Was very pleasantly surprised to find the Turkish inspired food on their menu for breakfast. It's a cute little cafe with very sweet employees. I also appreciated how calm their atmosphere is, allowing for conversation without there being a rush.“
“New favorite restaurant! Excellent food, whether or not you’re vegan. Almost the entire menu is also gluten free as well, so this place is perfect for those with dietary restrictions. This place has been struggling since Covid, so go and show them some support, they deserve it!Vegetarian options: The menu is 100% vegan, even the mango lassi and the palak paneerDietary restrictions: Everything is vegan and 90% is also gluten free. They have gluten free samosas and vegan mango lassi! Also vegan palak paneer, which is really rare to see. I’m Vegan and I have celiac disease as well, and the owner made sure not to cross-contaminate my food and keep everything safe for me.“
“Honestly one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to in Chicago. And I’m from here! I’ve been to several and love Indian food. We ordered a few chicken dishes, vegetable dishes, naan, rice… all incredibly well cooked and delicious… hidden gem!!!! Great service as well.“
“I live walking distance from Fon's, and I am so sorry that we didn't visit much sooner! First of all, the service was amazing. Margherita empanada, corn empanada, and apple cinnamon were all so delicious! The price point is very reasonable. I didn't think one would be very filling, and I was so wrong lol! I had one entire empanada plus three small bites of my fiance's food and I'm stuffed! We will definitely be back again!“
