Although we're were served a different menu due to the field trip, the food was still great, service members were kind and attentive, and the area was clean and inviting. “This place is beyond amazing. I live by Midway Airport and I'm thankful my girlfriend lives near here because otherwise I'd look crazy going all this way for the food. But it's completely worth it. Through multiple trips have tried numerous menu items and they serious can't do anything wrong. So far I've had: Egg Lemon soup, Greek Salad, Feta Spread (both regular and spicy), Gyros sandwich, Gyro Plate, Broasted Half Chicken (Greek style), Feta Fries, Calamari, Chicken Skewers, Loukomadies, Galaktoboureko, Burger with Gyro Meat, Chicken Pita, Pastitsio, and spanakopita. And nothing has been anything short of absolutely amazing. This place is worth every penny. Even my Greek Girlfriend who is VERY critical of her Greek Food agrees at how amazing this place is. Everything gets compared to her Grandma's cooking which sets a very high bar. And everything we have had has been a home run.“

“A slice of old school drive/in diners. Good Food, Good Value stuck in a bit of a time capsule. Honestly love it for the old school independent nostalgia compared to the fast food chains that are everywhere. I support local and enjoy going here with my family. “Highland Park's BACKYARD GRILL is a delicious counter order eatery. The servings are large and the quantity is deliciously excellent.

The cashier knows the menu and is familiar with the Ingredients. The short order, visible kitchen creates the meal quickly. Both vegan and conventional entrees are offered. Beef, chicken, and vegan options are available. The three in our party ordered gyros with pita, roasted chicken, and homus platter. They were delicious.

STUFF: Parking is difficult. I ended up using the city lot, a block away. This eatery has two levels connected with a ramp. Everything is ADA compliant.“

“I just want to share an experience before the Internet. I have no clue if this is a family owned business or a franchise. I grew up around the corner from the restaurant in the 70's until I was 8 I would walk there everyday and get cheese fries and pickle spears. I was what you would call a regular customer. I was there so much the owner then out of the kindness of his heart would always take care of my bill and send me home with some extra pickle spears. This was before people ever invented paying it forward. So I would like to truly say thank you and I will always pay it forward from all the kindness I learned in my childhood years. Best cheese fries ever wish I lived closer.“

“Stopped in while traveling through O’Hare airport and was really impressed. The burger was excellent, and the fries have officially become my new favorite—crispy, hot, and full of flavor. The staff were friendly and quick, getting orders in and out efficiently while still keeping a solid standard for quality. A great stop if you’re looking for good food on the go.“

“Almost forgot about this when scrolling thru my photos. This past June was the first time trying this location, 2nd time overall and the previous was at the Schaumburg location.

I really like their menu here although to many it may be just another Chicago style/Greek fare restaurant. That's fine by me being I live for Chicago hotdogs, juicy burgers, Italian beef, gyros, fries, etc.

The food overall is really good here but the gyros are the bomb. We don't have any Brandy's locations up in Lake County (I live in Beach Park) but I sure wish we did!

If ever in the area again, I could definitely go for some tasty grub from Brandy's. Wish for continued boomin' business for decades to come for the owner(s).“
