“This place is legit. Slightly bigger than your average street tacos, portion size is really great so the value here is awesome. Al pastor was great, Barbacoa was great, the steak was good but not the main show. Chilaquiles were really good (ordered with red not green sauce). The red hot sauce is FANTASTIC but— be warned gringos— it’s hot af. The green mild sauce is flavorful equally outstanding just not a total heat show like the red. Service was quick and friendly. The place is tiny so keep that in mind however it has a favorable outdoor area and because of the location it’s actually tolerable to sit outside. Please spend your money here so it can be here a long time and I can get my tacos regularly ?“

“I cannot say enough about Tacos Maui! We had their taco truck at our party yesterday. Everyone loved the food. Tacos and sides were hot, fresh, and delicious. Service was efficient and the people are SO NICE. And they are so professional—easy to contact, responsive to questions, and took care of everything just like they said they would. THANK YOU!“

“We found this place during the Spirits with the Spirits event in downtown Joliet during Halloween week and couldn’t wait to go back! The margaritas are great (chamoy and tajin rim - yessss), the steak and shrimp tacos are out of this world, the chips and guacamole are freshly made. The owners are very welcoming and kind. I know there are a hundred authentic Mexican places in Joliet to choose from, but this one is really something special.“

“Gas station tacos? YESSS!!!This place was better than most stand alone taco joints and I will be back!I did an al pastor, and a lengua taco. The flavors were perfect, authentic, and while the tacos looked small they doubled up the tortilla and stuffed them with meat so they were super filling. Elote was delicious, but the sauce to corn ratio was a little heavy for me, so I added some corn I had at home to it.100% try this place out- you will not regret it!“

“Everything about this place is amazing! The food is delicious and did not disappoint, we had a steak burrito, tacos (al pastor, lengua and cabeza) and agua de horchata! The steak in the burrito was well seasoned and beautifully cooked and the burrito in general was super delicious! The Al pastor was flavorful and well cooked and the lengua/cabeza were so flavorful and tender ?. The environment feels cozy and home-y like you're eating at your grandma's house and the food tastes like love and happiness. I wish I could eat here everyday, I can't wait to return and try other items on the menu!“

“Had a bit of a wait for the waitress to appear after we got seated, but after that she was very attentive. Restaurant was quiet which we both like and prefer. The tempura shrimp appetizer was outstanding. The Caeser salad could have been more than small pieces of romaine covered in Caeser's dressing. My filet was very tender but cooked more than medium rare. Husband's sirloin could have been a bit more tender. Sides were fine but overpriced. One side should come with the very expensive main protein. Had cabernet with dinner which was excellent. No room for dessert.“

“Delicious flavors at reasonable prices!
The jerk chicken burrito came with two small containers of jerk sauce, which was the perfect amount to have some with every bite. I also got homemade ginger juice which had just enough lemon mixed in to perfectly compliment the ginger flavor.
Currently it's carryout only, but the wait for food if you order at the counter is only around 10 minutes.“

“Man, when your friends tell you the gas station tacos are incredible, they’re not lying. The food is so flavorful and tastes fresh. Blows competitors out of the water. Beans are on the spicier side, but I love them. They’re not too salty or runny either. Elotes is excellent. Rice is delish. We’ve tried all the meat options in the tacos and enjoyed them all. Only mild inconvenience is that you have to get fountain pop from the gas station so it’s another transaction, but it’s easy enough to just get while you’re waiting for your food to be ready. It’s in a gas station, so not ideal for dining for dinner but there are several tables if you’re grabbing a quick bite for lunch. For take out, I 100% recommend.“
