They changed the provider and bread is not as fresh, warm & tasty like it used to be.. this is the only thing which is not up to standards thank you for listening everything else is great.“

“I believed this is my second time coming to this restaurant. I just forgot to leave a review last time. This is a convenient place which close to my Dr's. Office. I love the place coz it's not that busy in comparison to H Mart and other Asian Grocery store that has a food court. Or perhaps today is day after Labor Day, that's why its quite. Plus ASSI got tons of Asian Ready hot/cold foods to go and you can eat at their food court. 🥰, Love the Spicy Noodles i ordered its just the right spice though I ordered extremely hot and spicy stuff. “Got beef blugogi Bento box, cost $20.99. Came with portion of beef blugogi (good flavor and came with extra sauce), rice (normal rice), tempura shrimp, egg roll, and fried potsticker (all were standard and decent), salad (mayo on side i guess for dressing), Japanese (cold noodle dish, basically soy sauce with slight sweetness, very good). A few bits of kimchi and super small cup of egg soup. Took about 8 min to cook. Overall good meal, decent price.“

“I purchased a variety of seafood at Captain Alex Seafood for a gathering of 8 people. I wasn’t sure how much to buy, but the owner was extremely helpful and gave me his best recommendation. It turned out to be the perfect amount—enough for everyone with some to spare.

I had a lot of questions, and the owner patiently and professionally answered each one in great detail.

As for the quality of the seafood—it was outstanding. My sister, who is visiting from Sicily, even said the fish was as fresh and flavorful as what she buys straight from the harbor in Porto Empedocle.

“I have gone to Andros Taverna for many years now where I am never disappointed and always impressed with the service, the quality of food and ingredients, the atmosphere and the passion in general. Chef Doug Psaltis is a true expert and artist performing at the highest levels. The gyros are the best, best gyros in Chicago by far, the seafood world class, the homemade bread and pita are incredible. The foods and meats are cooked over wood fire, wood fire grilled. We had our daughters baptism catered from here which was excellent assortment of Greek food - this is a Greek restaurant you will go to for many years to come.“

One weak spot, and is common in many restraints, are the Hostesses. This is your first impression with any restaurant, yet they place little emesis on training the staff on proper customer service. Look at people when talking to them, not your computer. There should be better communication and interaction with the front desk. Otherwise, Service was excellent, Food was well prepared and presented, prices were fair.“

“I went in there last week to buy jumbo shrimp $24.95 per LB. Is there new owners in this place. When I got home there was small shrimp with a couple of Jumbo...I should of took a picture. They use to put the fried shrimp in a wax lined brown bag...now they have a with paper container when I got home all was cold. Not wasting my time..“

“I’m a HUGE foodie and I was BLOWN AWAY at the dishes here!

First came with the free cornbread and loved the spicy feta on there. I was just eating the spread by itself at one point. Ana the server was really informative on the menu and passionate about what this place has to offer. I’m so glad she recommended the brussels sprouts because those were the best brussels sprouts I’ve ever had. I think it was the pomegranate molasses that really put it over the top. I also loved how she gave me recommendations on what pairs well with each other.

My risotto was perfect. Nothing too heavy, and the seafood was cooked to perfection while the scallops were still super tender, which is hard to find. I love the idea of the open kitchen concept because I was seeing everything made in front of me. The menu had so many different items to choose from. I will have to try everything else soon.

When it comes to the service and ambience that really stood out to me and made the experience 1 million times better. It really felt like a cozy family run place and it was clear that everyone really enjoys working with each other. Alexsander was really passionate about the restaurant and every guest that came in.

This is a hidden gem in Chicago with top-notch food!! I’m so glad I came across this! It’s perfect for a romantic date night if you’re looking for somewhere cozy in a neighborhood spot.“
