“Sidel was fantastic, it was a pleasure seeing a happy worker, son and I stopped going there about 6 months back due to the mess and disorganization. There are plenty of McDonald's options up and down 80, but thanks to the cleanliness, the friendliness and amazing service from Mr Sidel this is our favorite McDonald's again, especially since I noticed that it is a family-owned McDonald'sKid-friendliness: Mr Sidel deserves a raise! Very nice kid who was super with my 8yr old.“
“Great place! Staff always pleasant. Best muffins within a 50 mile radius (I know of none better anywhere). Nice sandwiches made from scratch. Nice expressos. Huge selection of teas. The octagonal architecture is worth a visit in itself. Great stop Peoria to Chicago. The owner is a big supporter of local animal shelter. Bring old towels.“
“You can not judge coffee until you have drank it black. If you won't drink black coffee, you're not going to have a proper opinion on coffee . This is easily some of the highest quality coffee in this area of peru. I don't drink drinks with a lot of sugar so I don't get that kind of stuff. The coffee it self is very good. Especially better than McDonald's, dunkin, and starbucks. Which all hace horrible coffee.“
“On vacation, forgot to get some coffee when we left hometown. Driving to Cedar Creek Ranch to ride some horses and we came across this gem of a coffee shop. I got the German Chocolate Latte, which was really good. My boyfriend got the Java Crunch and that was AMAZING! If we ever find myself in the area again I will come back!“
“Lock 16 Cafe & Visitor Center.A lovely cafe with tables inside and outside. Gift shop with unique historical items. Rent a bike, take a ride on the I & M canal, in a boat pulled by mule. Visit the shops in historic downtown LaSalle.“
“This is a very warm and inviting neighborhood bar atmosphere. We had the pork tenderloin sandwich and the bourbon burger and both were cooked to perfection. Very generous portions with french fries. You will not leave hungry we will be back.“
“For longest time my wife would pick on me whenever she suggested Starbucks because my usual response was "I can't drink caffeine!" With hard work and determination (and a little help from the variety of cold brews) in proud to say that I'm hooked. This location that I frequent the most is great! One of the employees Nick takes it upon himself to get to know the customers and always has a friendly conversation ready to go while you wait for your drink. Great location. Great employees. Great service. I'll be back!!!“
“I'm a traveling performer, and I have been to my fair share of coffee shops. This one stands out because of the excellent staff. A young woman named Livia was moving at superhuman speeds with amazing efficiency. Everybody there was working in harmony, and in a good mood, (or faking it really well) and I appreciate that in a world full of bad moods!“
“The staff is always amazing! I visit the Peru location frequently. Sounds stupid to some but it's my happy place, I get to visit with everyone when I stop in or pick up mobile. My drink is always made how I like it.Parking: Spots are variableWheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible“
“Limited staff. I stood at the register with a staff person making a drink. She couldn't be bothered to greet me or ask me to wait. She turned away from me and I asked her if I was in the wrong place to order???Then she acknowledged me and asked me to wait for a young man to come. He was pleasant and took my order. It took 10 minutes for my name to be called. There were 8 people inside. Not a great experience.“
“Loved this cute shop from the adorable puppy dog logo to the architecture and, of course, the yummy coffee and sweet treats! Knowledgeable and helpful staff helped me order my tiramisu latte to my liking, and the mint chocolate chip ice cream was the best I'd ever tasted. Plus a nice selection of pure cane sugar sodas. Will definitely come back if we visit Starved Rock again!“
