Just a joy to be in this restaurant.Favorite foods: soufflé/quiche for breakfast, iced coffee (they least have simple syrup at the trays. Y the coffee - thanks for that, max n cheese in a sourdough bowl for lunch or dinner (which we often take home and have it with our home smoked brisket), and the kitchen sink cookie and muffies for dessert.Yum!“

“Came here today (party of 6, with three small kids) and everything was wonderful. Very helpful staff, lovely restaurant, and delicious food. We were hoping to sit outside but the indoor ambience was lovely. All of our food was amazing and came out quickly. We had a hard time deciding on how to order food for two toddlers and the waitress stepped right in with suggestions and portion sizes. It really took the leg work out of ordering food and hoping it wouldn’t be too much/too little. This is such a welcome addition to the downtown Skokie area as there aren’t many decent brunch/lunch options so we will definitely be back and we hope Don Julio’s becomes a mainstay here!“

“I brought my three little girls here after playing at Indian Boundary Park and received absolutely wonderful service from Ricky. The coffee was tasty, the girls loved the herbal tea he made for them at just the right temperature, and the holler deal for a pastry and beverage can’t be beat! He even took the time to bring out some coloring books and colored pencils to give the girls something to do, though I think they were most entranced with the working rotary phone. We will definitely be back!“

“First time going there after trying to find some different places to eat in the area. I ordered the California turkey wrap and a cookie, and both were amazing! It’s probably not somewhere I’d go to sit down and eat with friends, I don’t think it’s meant for that. But it’s a great place to go and pick up from if you’re looking for good, fresh food. I took one star away because after I got home and saw the email of my receipt I noticed it was a couple dollars more than what I was told as I was checking out. Sure enough there was a $2 tip added. Not upset about a couple extra dollars, but I would’ve appreciated the transparency and the choice to leave a tip. There was no screen that gave me an option to tip so it felt a little shady to me.
Good to note: The office building itself was easy enough to find, but there aren’t any signs to point you in the direction of the actual cafe. You have to go into the west entrance.“

Outdoor Café absolutely blew me away!

I ordered a custom boba tea with Coconut Matcha and Strawberry, and it was an instant favorite. The flavors were perfectly balanced, creamy, and refreshing, with just the right sweetness. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, and the tapioca pearls were perfectly chewy. The staff was friendly, fast, and genuinely passionate about their drinks. This place is a hidden gem for anyone who loves creative, high-quality boba. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!“

If you are like me, and steer away from pancakes because they just don't taste as good as your great-grandmother's, you have to eat a stack at this cafe.

The first bite literally took me to my grandmother's table. I could not be happier with my breakfast today.

“Great food, comfortable atmosphere, wonderful staff and an incredible chef! Have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner many times here and I’ve never had a bad meal! I recently hosted a dinner for a baby shower for my daughter in their side room. Had 14 people with a catered menu of chicken limone, beef tenderloin, gnocchi, salad, roasted potatoes, and grilled vegetables for a very reasonable price. The food was delicious and the service was superb. This is the second dinner like this that I have done here and it was amazing! Thank you Ms. Medina, Jose , Dorita, and Chef Jose!“
