“Super friendly! Drive thru is always fast moving. There's a very sweet Spanish speaking lady, OH MY GOSH! Makes my mornings!! Thank you! Definitely going to keep coming. I don't even care if I'm going out of my way. It's always about the friendly interaction, especially now a days with COVID19. Staff wears masks at all times. Each team member has their station. Staff wears gloves and changes after customers. MASKS MUST BE WORN INSIDE.“
“What an absolute gem of a space! Unbelievably Huge and Lovingly curated selection of plays and theatre related books, lots of fun theatre trinkets, and a super warm, inviting atmosphere. Theatre Students, Practitioners, and Lovers of all ages--skip B&N and make this a regular stop to expand your library!“
“Vaca's Creamery - The Windy City's Best Ice Cream SpotAs a lifelong Chicagoan, I truly appreciate a good ice cream shop. And Vaca's Creamery, located in Wicker Park, is the real deal. This cozy spot offers over 40 inventive ice cream flavors that rotate frequently based on seasonal ingredients. On my recent visit, I indulged in a scoop of Salty Caramel - made with Nutella and flecks of sea salt. So decadent! The staff is extremely friendly and they clearly take pride in their craft. I had some fun chats with the owners who shared how they source dairy from local farms. It's nice to support a small business committed to Chicagoland. After treating myself, I enjoyed my ice cream while strolling along North Avenue, taking in the funky shops and colorful murals that give Wicker Park its edgy vibe. Vaca's is also just a few blocks from the iconic Buckinghams fountain, making it a perfect post-Millennium Park treat.Whether you're a lifelong resident or visitor checking out The Chi, do yourself a favor and experience what makes Vaca's Creamery worth the wait on those hot summer days. You'll leave with a cool scoop and a full belly - even on the windiest of days! I'll be back again soon for another taste of home.“
“I enjoyed a late lunch with Hen Banh Da (Clam Salad) and Mi Quang. Clam salad was everything I imagined it to be and mi quang was underwhelming — lacked flavor and yellow rice noodles were overcooked; I had to add more fish sauce for flavor.Attentive service. I will try this place again and order other offerings.“
“I had stopped in here before to get an iced coffee and it did not disappoint , this time I went back for something new :Iced Coconut matcha latte! So delicious ! For someone who loves matcha, this has to be one of my favorites in the city!Loved the compliment too!“
“Great spot, I came in for a meeting and had a great cappuccino and food - would have loved to do jebena but it would have been too much for one! It smelled delicious, the French bread is incredible, the frittata was wonderfully flavorful, and so was the baklava. I hope this place succeeds! You know a place is the real deal when you’re the only white folks in there XD“
“Exceptionally tasty baked goods!Parking: There are enough spots for those who choose to dine in and they have a drive-thru who want to pick up and leave.Kid-friendliness: A mom and her 15-month old were.just hanging out so that mom could have her lunch. Both mom and baby had lots of room to sit comfortably and the big windows allowed provided kept the baby occupied.“
“We visited this cafe for the first time not too long ago, and while there was a mix up with our order, the staff were very attentive and went over and above to solve the issue. The crepe with fruit and coffees we had were delicious! Definitely recommend this place if you have a sweet tooth!“
“This is the CUTEST cafe. The coffee was excellent and the food was delicious (I had the garden bagel, and WOW). It was pumping when I was there and the food/coffee still came out really quickly. I think everything was really reasonably priced considering how high-quality the ingredients are. The staff were so sweet and welcoming. I had an opportunity to talk to the owners and they were just as lovely. Can't recommend this place enough - I will be back!Dietary restrictions: I'm vegetarian and the garden bagel was SO good and super filling.“
“Came in on my birthday. To lovely ladies helped me and my friend out. Made us feel comfortable. She went over all the pros and cons and ect. No pushy to buy anything. Also got samples before buying the 24 oz cup. Cookies were amazing! The drinks are amazing and doesn’t taste like cannabis but hits .!“
“A cozy bakery that's about as artisan as it gets. The interior is beautifully rustic, and the aroma of freshly baked croissants, scones, breads, and pastries entices you as soon as the door opens. Their selection is extensive, and the service is impeccable. The items themselves are slightly pricy, but you can really appreciate the craft and dedication put into every baked good.I kid you not - I was about to walk past this place until the door opened. One whiff was all it took. That's how good this place is.“
“Great place to get lunch! I like getting the duck confit sandwich, the goat cheese sandwich, and also the green lasagna. The staff are always really nice and helpful. Food usually comes out pretty fast - I often will call for pickup and it is ready within 10-15 minutes. Really great neighborhood spot!“
“I went to the opening for October Café yesterday and had such a good time! The drinks are well made and quickly done. The food tastes delicious and is incredibly friendly to those with dietary restrictions. The staff are incredibly kind and well trained. Can't recommend this place enough!“
“The plating at Sweet Moon is so exquisite that I imagine a chef using a pair of tweezers to meticulously place each item to be displayed on the dish. My mother and I talk for at least two minutes about the layout and design of the plated food before diving in and being even more amazed by the flavor combinations. My favorite menu item is the Merengue Roulette, a gluten-free merengue with mascarpone pistachio cream, raspberry jam, baked almond, and whole pistachios. For such well-crafted and well-balanced dishes, the wait time is not long, usually not exceeding 10 minutes. Although the place is typically always filled with people all customers are respectful of the noise level and it is quiet and serene. Great place to work or catch up with a friend!“
“It is very cozy there!I love the coffee and cinnamon roll.To add that Cozy cafe also hosts performances. I have not been at one yet, but it looks like it will be my next spot for an outing in the neighborhood. And Ricky is very welcoming. Thanks again, and see you soon!“
“I love supporting local businesses, and being a local to DP it was a must. We visit here on a weekly basis and have tried all the flavors. Oreo being my sons favorite, and the tropicals mine for sure ?Sometimes there is a gentleman that works with the owner is a heavy cigarette ? smoker “ smelled like Joe ? “Didn’t care much for the smell on him , but super friendly.“
“I’ve been to a ton of Chicago north side cafes, and there are two things I always crave / like to get:1. An egg and cheese bagel sandwich2. A Boston cream donutBoth of which knocked my socks off, the bagel sandwich was presented neatly in a basket, the bagel was flavorful and delicious, the bacon crisp and meaty cheese on egg all were flawless. The Boston cream had the right dough, was filled perfectly and had a delicious glaze, something I can’t say so much about my experience with Stan’s somewhat nearby.I also ordered an iced americano that came in a perfectly chilled metal tumbler.I don’t live nearby but I am now seeking out Spoken Cafe. So good.“
“This is a wonderful coffee shop. I work at the school nearby (discount for educators+!) and as my Friday treat -when I can- I make a run for quiche and coffee. They offer pastries, sandwiches, oatmeal, cold drinks, etc...The staff is friendly, and welcoming.Come check it out!“
“We love supporting local business in the city of Des Plaines! This was a gem that we found today and the coffee was delicious. The employees of River Woods Funeral Chapels had the LaVie En Rose and the Mocha. We loved getting to know the staff and making friends in the lobby. Parking was also very convenient. This will be our usual place to get coffee!!!!!! Des Plaines Local Guide“
“I absolutely love this place. Coffee is amazing (some of the best local coffee), food and baked goods are delicious. I only wish that the space indoors was slightly larger because it gets really crowded during the winter months. During the summer, it's perfect - outdoor seating in the back plus lots of benches in the park across the coffeeshop.“
“I have been to Pantera Superfoods on multiple occasions for smoothie bowls. Their bowls are delicious and the owner is so kind. I am so excited to have this place in Edgebrook. I used to drive to Bucktown for smoothie bowls. Great option on the NW side for a healthy lunch.“
“The Delight Of Having CROFFLE Yummy ? The Taste Is So So Good , Their service is 10/10. It has a nice environment inside where you can just hang out with friends, play games, and to study! Love it here! …Very Good ? Keep It Up GuysLove Ur Food Drinks And Everything“
“I am Zach Mostow and I am draw and bubble's obsessed! They have amazing staff, food, drinks, and the place puts you in a great mood. It’s a magical experience with nice lights, music, scenery and is the perfect place for breakfast or whenever you want a snack or drink.“
“Excellent addition to the Irving Park/Albany Park area. I tried the prosciutto & mozzarella sub and it was very good, pictured is the 9 inch which was plenty for one person. Reasonably priced. Nice service. Charming cozy spot to eat in. I will be back!“
“I enjoyed my drink which was the Yemeni tea with honey. It was so delicious and flavorful. The pastries were yummy too. Love the open atmosphere, especially when the doors are open. The cashier was helpful when I had questions ordering and my drink came out quickly. Highly recommend!“
“The food is authentic Italian and is delicious, especially the Rigatoni Con Sugo Di Carne! You can dine in to enjoy pleasant atmosphere and friendly, attentive service. It's in the center of a strip building between other restaurants that look alike so it's kind of hard to notice. In fact, I was told about the place and I live six blocks from it and drive by it almost every day.I have not tried the pizza since the Rigatoni is so good. If you like genuine Italian food, try it. You will return!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs look like they can roll right in. It's all ground level.“
“Was craving boba tea and tried this place out today. Pleasantly surprised with the place and how simple and cozy it felt. Tried their Hokkaido with cheese foam and it was great - a bit too sweet but overall it was delicious. Do wanna say that it is a bit on the pricier side in comparison to other boba shops. Going to try other drinks from here in the future. Overall a good experience and no complaints.“
“My daughter and I decided to check out Eli Tea Bar last night and we loved the atmosphere so much! it is so cozy. We were there to watch all the talented beautiful performers at open mic night. The tea was fresh and so good I really appreciate that it's alcohol free and welcoming to people of all ages. We will definitely be back!“
“The coffee is quality. They list single origin and method. I ordered a decaf americano and it was so smooth. The pastries are also good. I ordered a kale feta pastry that tasted a bit like spanikopita just not as crunchy.Network was good on 2 of 3 of my devices but for some reason wouldn't load on the third.A but pricey but worth it once in awhile. Also a great place to get work done.“
“We stopped in one afternoon to Harmony Coffee Bar. You know what harmony is ? A combination of things or parts that forms a connected and unified whole. That just about sums up our visit to this adorable cafe. I ordered the Gold Crush Latte which is topped with Dalgona which melted into the latte giving it a slightly sweet and mellow flavor. My companion ordered an iced Gold Crush Latte so they could enjoy the Dalgona as it slowly released its sugary cookie flavor into the coffee beverage. As we savored our drinks in the pleasant and cozy seating, they prepared our Croffle, a combination of croissant and waffle, and it was crispy and buttery and caramelly. All in all, a harmonious mix of flavors and textures that added up to a very pleasant midday interlude.“
“This place is outstanding! The service is top notch, the handcrafted drinks are out of this world, and the owners greet you with a smile, a huge selling point in my book. C3 is an excellent addition to Village Crossing! Try ALL their seasonal drinks (I did for the winter and they were all great!“
“It's hard to get a bahn mi to be well balanced and I think this place gets it right. I'm a sucker for ginger chicken and it was great, the pickled veg rocked and the bread (arguably the most important component) was outstanding. Liked the counter style ordering and the tea I got was pretty good, I don't know tea so I got no notes. Nice music too and service was quick.“
“Parking: Paid street parking is available along Dempster St (which Pour is on), as well as around the corner on Chicago Ave.Wheelchair accessibility: Access is street level - no ramps needed. However, the doors are manually operated, so handicapped people may need to have someone open the doors for them.“
“Unexpectedly medium good coffee. Little bit of a bitter "robusta" beans flavor. Metropolis usually sells mass market coffee that is no good. Many varieties of signature drinks ?. They have many pastry like a donuts and muffins. The coffee shop is not cozy and not convenient.“
“absolutely mythological quality. coffee in its purest form. silky texture, marvellous depth of colour and clarity in appearance, and an aroma more sweet and intoxicating than you've grown accustomed to smelling in your favourite cafes. guaranteed to alter your perception of your favourite coffee.“
“Went in a few days ago and was greeted by the owner who totally over-served my 2 kids in the best way possible. We ordered minis and he gave huge portions with lots of the toppings we ordered. You could see he did it because he thought it was fun and wanted to see my girls happy. That's a perfect local business, and one that serves up delicious treats alongside the excellent and warm service.“
“Of all the places I've tried around the city, Taste of Colombia has the best coffee anywhere in Chicago. My favorite part though is the wonderful people who work there! I feel super fortunate to have them just two blocks from my house. Make sure to give them a try!How cool this place is! They have the best coffee and desserts in all of Chicago, but the best thing is the people who work there. Many thanks to Naima, Toni and Alejandra. Always a pleasure to spend some time with you every weekend!“
“This is almost one and only brunch restaurant nearby in Glenview. I went there on Saturday around 12pm for lunch and the restaurant was full of the customers! It seemed like all the families and friends were coming here after church. We were sitting next to a table that was celebrating the grandma's birthday who just turned into her 94 year old! It was so warm and sweet.Elly's Pancake House was for all ages, from kids, teenagers, young couples to 40s and elderly. This place is definitely being loved by everyone.I ordered Chicken and Bacon Waffle and my boyfriend ordered Skillet, as always, and he said Elly's Skillet is almost the Best Number 1 Skillet he've ever had. The Waffle was sooo great and their side salad was very huge. I mean, their waffle is really different than others - it's thick, crisp and delicious... Also it actually contains bacon in the waffle dough....Yum!We also had some pancakes on the side and it was good too.Only one minor thing that they can improve is their staffing. I think they need more servers, I didn't get a refill for my coffee during my entire meal. Our server was too busy taking care of so many tables.Nonetheless, I will visit this place next week again!Parking: Parking lot is large but always filled with cars! Because it's so popularKid-friendliness: Several Awesome Options for Kids“
“My girlfriend and I had just come back from Italy, desperately trying to find espresso drinks that even remotely measured up to the quality of drinks we had while vacationing. Needless to say, this place has the best cappuccino i’ve had in Chicago. Barista is super personable and knowledgeable on brewing techniques, very friendly atmosphere!“
“This is the best coffee shop in town. Every single employee here is friendly and amazing. The coffee is so good! I frequent this place as much as I can afford and each cup is worth every penny. I love that I can also buy jugs of cold brew and k-cups to enjoy my favorite blend at home. Amazing experience all around.“
“If you live in Chicago or surrounding area, you know about Eli's Cheesecake Company. It is available in most local grocery stores and many restaurant have it on their dessert menu.If you are fortunate enough to live on the Northwest side of Chicago, you can swing by the Eli's Cafe And Retail store which is next to the warehouse. You can stop by for a slice of cheesecake and coffee or stock up on frozen cheesecake and desserts. Key Lime Cheesecake is the best! Seconds or irregulars are available at a reduced price.Check out their Dock Sales during the year.I ♥️ Eli's Cheesecake!Parking: Tons of parking and the lot is right by the main entrance.“
“Greenwood Deli is the best bagel shop in the area. Great bagels, excellent cream cheese, and deli sandwiches too. My favorite is the breakfast sandwich with turkey sausage. Staff is always super friendly too. It's a pickup place only though so don't plan on eating there.“
“Would I visit this place again: YesWas this place clean: YesOutdoor seating: YesWas this place hard to find: NoWhat would I change about this place: NothingWhat was my favorite thing about this place: Real homemade espresso and delicious food. The atmosphere is authentic and I felt at home again.“
“Whenever I catch myself craving food, it’s almost always Libanais that comes to mind. Libanais’ food transports me back to Beirut through their delicious cuisine. This restaurant comes highly recommended to all friends and family who visit Chicago. The food, ambiance and staff are always perfect.“
“First and foremost, the coffee at Khepri Cafe is nothing short of exceptional. The baristas here truly understand the art and science behind brewing the perfect cup. The aroma of freshly ground beans permeates the air, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you prefer a robust espresso, a velvety latte, or a meticulously crafted pour-over, the coffee selection caters to all tastes, showcasing a commitment to quality and precision. For those with gluten-free dietary needs, Khepri Cafe goes above and beyond to offer a delectable selection of pastries. The gluten-free options are not an afterthought here; they are a central focus. The careful attention to detail ensures that flavor is never sacrificed, making it a haven for those with dietary restrictions.“
“Took the family out for Sunday breakfast and we were excited to visit this spot. I was looking forward to the Llpingacho Benedict, which I was so curious about. The flavor was very good and unique with the potato cakes and grilled tomatoes. Surprisingly, the most tasty item we had were the pancakes. My son ordered the oreo pancakes and I had a bite of it. I was floored by the rich taste and texture of the pancakes. I'd return just for those. Before ending this post, I cannot forget to mention that they have outstanding service and hospitality. Check this spot out, you won't be disappointed.“
“This is simply the best donut shop in Chicago. It's a SoCal type place with all the donuts. Thanks Uncle Ted! My personal favorite is the Red Velvet Crumb. The chocolate old fashioned and chocolate devil are also really good. Heck, I haven't had a bad or even average donut from this place.“
“Cozy little shop, I don’t drink coffee often but I was happy there were non-coffee drinks and the bubbly mango and dirty coke drinks were so good. The bubbly mango was surprisingly refreshing and the dirty coke tasted like a rum and coke except it didn’t actually have rum so I can’t wait to go back!“
“such kind staff and warm atmosphere. amazing food and drinks and such a lovely place to spend time.Dietary restrictions: I’m gluten free and vegetarian and have been dairy free and they have so many options that work for all kinds of restrictions.“
“Starbucks is our unofficial “third place” and we’ve been known to drive more miles than we care to admit to enjoy our favorite coffee drinks and breakfast items. Though many locations can get a little loud due to acoustics and caffeine-fueled chatter, the location on Willow road seemed a little quieter than most.I decided to take a tip from many other Starbucks customers and brought along my iPad for a little study while I enjoyed my mocha.“
