“The perfect bar, I fear. I can’t believe I have ANY pictures in this place because I’m always just talking to someone or playing pool or queueing up songs on the jukebox. There’s something about this place that you can’t really take a picture of: the people are always friendly and chill, you can tell it has a low staff turnover rate, the food is ALWAYS good. This is the kind of bar which would be the ultimate muse for a poet from the 1800s. My one drink photo is an espresso martini that was made with love, but know that they put just as much love into every beer they pour. It just isn’t as instagrammable.“

We were personally greeted and served by proprietor Anluan McKinney who took great care of us and told us about the pub’s history. The food and drinks were wonderful and the pub was clean, comfortable, and authentic. It may be my favorite Irish pub in the US.“

“We came all the way from Naperville to eat here, and it was absolutely worth it. The burek and its varieties are incredibly fresh, and the owners are very kind. The taste of the burek was just like my grandmother’s, it almost made me cry. I haven’t had burek this good in a very long time. “We had a wonderful time going for the first time for a friend’s birthday. Our server Micky was so friendly and accommodating! The owner generously comped some drinks for us as first time customers. The plantains with the onion-forward dipping sauce were phenomenal. The Brussels sprouts had a lovely balsamic glaze topped with creamy goat cheese. Several of us ordered burgers with side salads, and the greens were of high quality. The standard vinaigrette offered was a wonderful blend of tangy and subtlety sweet. The smash burger patties were cooked well with crisp edges while maintaining a juicy interior. The garlic parm fries had a crisp exterior and fluffy texture. Everything was phenomenal, and Micky even helped us with the cake our friend made and brought. Do yourself a favor and come check this spot out!“

“The Vegan Birria Tacos (hibiscus flowers, spicy dipping sauce, vegan cheese, cilantro, onion, elote salad) are excellent. There were some very interesting flavors, the tacos have amazing variances in texture and a variety of flavors in a bite sweet, sour, tangy and just a little bit of heat. Great rotating draft beer options. The decor is very interesting with a huge dragon artwork on the ceiling in the bar area. I can wait to come back.“

“The people were the BEST!! We are truck drivers hanging around town going to a Chicago Cubs game the next day. We were watching the 2nd game on TV and the lady serving us was sooooo nice and and helpful. We chatted while my husband watched the game. Such a cute friendly hang out ind of place. I hope to be back to visit again! I highly recommend this place to chill and watch sports and grab a bite.“

“Legit 5 star experience thanks to Derek and staff. They found out we were visiting from out of town and went out of their way to make us feel at home. I had the meatball salad, we shared the brussel sprouts, and sampled some Whistlepig Rye and a beer we'd never heard of. The Sunday brunch was delicious with bottomless mimosas until 2:00 pm. I highly recommend the standard in the heart of historic wicker park neighborhood in Chicago. My favorite server/bartenders and Alex and Meghan. They were super friendly and make you feel like family.“

“We held a celebration of life for my brother here today. About 50 in attendance in the stylish, comfortable upstairs area. Despite the fact that I planned this from 400 miles away and without having ever seen the venue, it went off without a hitch due to Mr. David Candiotti and his staff. No surprises. Everything was as promised. The venue is extremely stylish and rustic. Food was delicious and plentiful as were the drinks. Service was fast, efficient and friendly thanks to Mona, Alberto and Olena. I highly recommend.“

“i’m writing this review as i’m still sitting in the booth because it was just THAT good.

i ordered the french onion burger with the regular fries on the side, and let me tell you i haven’t had a burger check every box like this one. the garlic aioli was the perfect amount of flavor to complement the caramelized onions. the bun was seemingly buttered and fluffy. and the fries!! they had a flakey salt with not one fry left unsalted. they were also thin and crispy to perfection.

the service was great and every staff member was always smiling. i never write reviews but this one felt very necessary. 5 stars from me!“
