“I've been going here for almost two years, it's always clean and everyone is super nice. every now and then I catch so called "important customers" being unnecessarily rude to the poor employees and threatening them with horrible reviews or calls to corp and that's just not fair. These are incredibly hard working people and they basically only have three people at a time even when they're crazy busy. each and every one of them deal with much more than they are being payed.Parking: front, side, and back parking available. however it can be hard after 4 pm because the restaurant next door shares these spots and opens at that time.Kid-friendliness: they are all extremely kind to children!“
“This afternoon after shopping at Pete's I stopped at this DD location. Drove to window after placing order. Presented a $20 and later offered .20 after seeing the total was $4.20. The gentleman just looked at me with no acknowledgement on his face so I thought he was listening to other drive thru orders. He wouldn't take the change so I figured since the register closed I'd confused him. As I attempted to talk to him, he would not look at me, turned his back on me, and walked away. As I kept saying Thank you, his co workers even tapped him letting him know I was talking to him. He continued to ignore me. Weird.“

“It’s no surprise that there is are all 5 star reviews. One of the best cakes I’ve had. I planned an office event in February highlighting black owned businesses and last minute found this bakery. I came towards the end of the day so the only thing available was a frozen cake. I was definitely skeptical but the cashier said it would taste just fine once let it sit out a bit. It was so moist, it was amazing. 10/10 that was a frozen cake so I can only imagine what the fresh cupcakes taste like.“
“We stopped in for a special treat. They had a good selection of donuts. The shop was decorated nicely and the man who was working there was inviting, helpful and nice. We decided on 6 donuts, Boston creams, pistachio, blueberry cheesecake, apple cider and bacon maple. We enjoyed them all! The prices are average for this type of shop and it does have a nice area to sit and eat if you want to do that. Overall, I recommend stopping in for a delicious donut. We will be going back whenever we are in Elmhurst again.“

“I went through the drive-thru to get a ?RAINBOW CONE? for my birthday. It was my first time ever, and I was not disappointed!!!There are several flavors of ice cream available by the pint or quart. They pack it FRESH. I bought a quart of the Lemon Raspberry Swirl and a quart of the Big Muddy for later. YUMMY!!! They even included cones wrapped in paper that could be used for sharing.The corner location at the traffic signal on Roosevelt Road makes for easy entering/exiting. Parking is plentiful.????My ?RAINBOW CONE? on the waffle cone was fantastic!!! My only difficulty was NOT trying every flavor. “I am sharing this review on behalf of my mom who experienced the best service, tastiest hamburgers and freshly baked Lemon Blueberry Scones. She and her friends play cards every Saturday, most times after playing they go out for dinner; they have tried the location in Itasca for breakfast before cards, but they wanted to check them out afterwards for a burger. They called ahead to see what time they were closing; the person who answered said they were getting ready to close but offered to stay open to make some burgers for them, they placed their order ahead of time so not to keep the staff stay open any longer, when they arrived the burgers were coming off the grill. She commented how the burger was just the right size (she is not a fan of thick burgers), her friend asks if they had any Lemon Blueberry Scones available; they did not but had some scones prepared for baking in the morning and decided to bake off some for them as well. My mom purchased three! I believe the one who serviced them was one of the partners, she invited them to come play large enough to seat the teams and decks of cards nicely. Service like this goes way above and beyond the norm these days, she said she was going to tell her friends about this experience and are plan on meeting there for breakfast before playing cards next week. In this day and time, it is nice to see others care for our seniors with care and respect. It will go a long way... So, if you have never tried Joe Donut in Itasca for their cake donuts, or breakfast or even the hamburgers for lunch - this reviewer would recommend you do so... you will not be disappointed; especially when it comes to their service. “If you haven't had the Carmel Pecan coffee cake, just call and order it. You will absolutely not be disappointed!!! Probably the best coffee cake I've had. The dough is perfection and the pecan filling and caramel topping are to die for. We also had a cherry coffee cake which was wonderful. I can't say enough about this bakery. The donuts are great too!“
“I wanted to send a HUGE shout out to Dion, general manager of the Oakbrook Terrace location. A few weeks ago I put in a large order for my daughter's birthday party. I was expecting to have around 72 donuts and two boxes of coffee delivered at 9am on a Saturday. Apparently there was an issue or glitch of some kind with the third party who manages online ordering/delivery. I received an email at 4am the morning of my daughter's party that my order was cancelled as a result. I called the Oakbrook Terrace location at 6am in a panic and Dion saved the day! He put in my order manually, ran the payment without issue, and got the order out for a 9:00am delivery. Not only that but he was kind, understanding, and very tolerant of a woman panicking about donuts at 6am. Thank you, thank you Dion!Kid-friendliness: The mini-donuts are perfect for little hands.
