Great service I need to say firstly. Although the laminated menus don’t have prices, the paper ones at the counter do for most items not Market Price. Don’t let this put you off. My meal was $20.99 at time of payment before tip, for seafood. The insane amount of different whole seafood options and steak specialties, the massive colorful platters, the huge drinks… This is a wonderfully decadently-far cry from my typical Napoli’s trip. BUT they still make the essentials like tacos, sopes, and burritos too. I got the Camarones con Crema de Chipotle, my friend got the Chilaquiles Verdes. Both were on MASSIVE platters and was a great amount of food. Seasoned rich sauce, great shrimp, warm tortillas… My friend’s margarita with the Corona took forever to finish and must have had good quality tequila in it. As the meal wore on, the restaurant had more and more customers for a late Sunday lunch. It didn’t seem so empty and quiet as what you see from the outside, and it was nice seeing people coming in. I would definitely come back again or make a pickup order with the fam. Great job, employees!!”

I ordered through Sweet C’s website for a birthday and I was behind on ordering due to my kids being sick. Celia was extremely kind despite it being a last minute order that was 100% my fault.

She had 2 dozen cupcakes for me and they were delicious. Everyone loved them - from the adults to the kids at the party. I always order extra cupcakes to bring home in case I can’t sit down at the party and enjoy a cupcake. I only have 2 left over and now have to share with the kids?! Not happy. Next time I’m giving myself a 6 cupcake buffer instead of 4.

Very easy to communicate with, is on time for pick up the cupcakes and you can still upload a design like she had in store. 10/10 recommend. We went with chocolate cupcakes and a vanilla buttercream. The cupcake will so soft and the buttercream was perfectly fluffy and just the right amount of sweetness. Very well balanced cupcake.

The customer service and the cupcakes were both outstanding. Placing my cupcake order for my birthday today with a 1/2 dozen cookie kit for Halloween.

Dietary restrictions: Able to have some accommodations for dietary restrictions but like many bakeries, cross contamination can happen. She has an info section on this on her website.

Kid-friendliness: She was amazing with my youngest who attempted to place a birthday cake order for June of 2025.”

“I love this restaurant and honestly surprised it's not rated higher. On the weekends this place can get packed. Highly would recommend to anyone that loves authentic mexican food.”

“We went with our Burger Club to Lucky Burgers (a.k.a. Jelly Cafe after dark or 4pm, whichever comes first).

Jelly Cafe is a breakfast and lunch place open 7am until 2pm. Then they switch over to Lucky Burgers which is open from 4pm until no one is there and they want to go home. Though technically I think they’re open until 8 or 9pm.

There are a handful of items on the Lucky Burgers’ menu: about 5 variations of their classic burger, a chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, and waffle fries.

When we went, the place was empty and never got busy. Which opened the door for one of the owners, Scott, to regale us with tales of days gone by from his childhood in Evanston and the famous people he knew, grew up with, and worked with. It was nice hearing these stories and it was nice to give Scott something and somebodies to talk to as well.

The place has a large parking lot and is nice and clean on the inside. There is a tiny area with slot machines and a small bar/counter at the entrance.

The burgers are all smashburgers. They come as singles or double patties. Go for the double as there’s not a whole lot of meat once they’re smashed. The differences are the toppings. Scott recommends their housemade dijonaise sauce which is good, but ask for it on the side. The cook slathers it on the burger and that’s all you can taste. Once I scooped (you read that correctly) the sauce off my burger, it was a pretty good burger. The meat is seasoned well and cooked nicely and the bun holds up (despite dripping in dijonaise).

We all shared the chicken tenders as an appetizer. Five nice sized tenders come in the meal and you can choose your dipping sauce. Scott recommended their honey mustard which was very good and the ranch wasn’t bad either.

He is also johnny-on-the-spot to refill fill your drinks. I seriously thought that I would float away.

The best part is the price. All said and done for a burger, waffle fries, and a soda, with tax and tip is like $15-$18 bucks.

It’s a nice place that I need to go back to and visit for the Jelly Cafe side. AND return for their burgers, tenders, and more of Scott’s stories.”

Firstly, let me start by raving about Colleen, the GOAT of bartenders! She is an absolute sweetheart! From the first day she made me feel at home! If you are new, she goes up to you, introduces herself and hands you a napkin. She has the most awesome and proper etiquette for the hospitality industry. Colleen is an absolute godsend! I do not know a single person who badmouths her. She also makes the best margaritas and rums/cokes! She remembers your name as wel and starts calling you by your name on the second day. The other bartenders are amazing as well. On Tuesdays and Thursdays when I go in, Lisa remembers my drink and food order. She is also a gem as well! As far as the food goes, the chicken bacon ranch wrap is one of the best I have ever eaten. The Cheddar Cheese burger is amazing as well. Seriously this place is a great find. As far as the reviews calling this place racist are concerned, to each their own: I have never had any issues and I am disabled and asian that is like a double negative. It is the most inclusive place around town!”

“I just had my first hamburger there, and it was so good! It was the 1/4 pound burger. It was juicy and fresh. I usually get the caesar chicken salad or a plain hot dog. The fries are good too. The staff is always friendly. I usually use the drive thru and it's very quick. The inside is clean and every employee goes out of their way to be helpful. Their prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous.”

They were so helpful, let us set up early, refrigerated a cake for us, had appetizers out super quick! Although my pick up order wasn't ready because the bagels i originally ordered were already out of stock, they had an even better alternative bagel available (the cheddar jalapeño one) still available, so I had that bagel instead for my 3 breakfast sandwiches, which proved to be a great choice! Anyway, I usually eat my order in my truck in their lot, while everything is still fresh and hot and watch Howard Stern interview videos on SiriusXM, so in a way, the whole thing with not having my original bagel choices available, worked out! With the consistently large number of customers who pack the lot and drive thru every time I come here, plus this location's staying power over the many years it's been in Palatine, it deserves a much higher rating--so that 2 star rating on Yelp.com doesn't appear to be accurate nor believable at all!!”
