“I loved this place! From the moment you walk in, you get an amazing cozy vibe. The waitresses are very loving and welcoming. The food was very good. I would say it’s the best I’ve tried around the area. We got the combo special number 1, banana and Nutella crepes (with right amount of sweetness) and cheese blintzes (a little too sweet side). We also ordered biscuits and gravy (that didn’t make it to the picture), which were surprisingly good.“

“Went in on a weekend morning. Thisnplace was packed, but they did an awesome job on service and getting folks seated right away.Our server Orlando was a stud and kept the kids topped off on drinks and kept checking in on our needs. Dude was moving non stop and holding it down. Manager was at the counter when we paid the bill and he was on top of everything.Food was excellent on all accounts and came out quickly.A nice extra is the location around the restaurant. “The Good - Service at this restaurant was excellent. This was a nice diner with a delicious breakfast. The Usual - Add ons are an additional fee - onions with hash browns were .95, for example. The Unnecessary- I did notice the "supplemental fee" for credit card usage. Those fees are just silly because that is the cost of doing business that should be factored into a business budget. We know you're paying to accept credit cards - negotiate with your CC companies instead of adding "fees" to your bills and surprising customers.“

“We've been going to Lumes for years, it's our favorite breakfast restaurant. No matter if it was just us or a get together of family and friends we always get wonderful service and great food. Once in a while we get it to go and the food is just as good and ready when we get there to pick it up. “I have never been to this restaurant and was in the city visiting and found this hidden but right out front gem.. I actually know one the owners and was so super happy to see her after over at least 10 years. It's on 95th street east of Kedzie in Evergreen Park. There is free parking in the lot and in front. The food was good.. I didn't really care for the taste of the syrup but my date said it was good to him. I had pancakes, eggs over medium and grits. He had a strawberry waffle which was really good, grits and eggs fried hard. He said that coffee was really good and fresh, didn't have the burnt taste. He had about 6 small cups with Irish Crème Creamer. I did taste it and it was actually good.. The Irish Crème creamer was like toffee to me. Our waitress was funny and very hospitable. They had a lot of customers sitting in and taking out. Also I could tell they have regulars. They had a group in the back celebrating a birthday. It's not modern but they provided cleanliness, even in the restroom, quality food and excellent service!! ENJOY!“
