“I keep seeing this brewery pop up and for good reason! It’s spacious, so you don’t feel crowded even when there’s a crowd there. They have a pool table and darts that add to the fun and entertainment! Excellent selection of beer and a great tap. Staff are the sweetest and I hear they have popups there sometimes too! “I’ve lost count of how many burgers I’ve eaten from Rootstock over the years, and somehow it still manages to exceed my expectations every single time.

This burger became a pandemic takeout staple in our house, but whether I’m dining in or grabbing it to go, the quality never wavers. The burger is everything you want it to be—perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and somehow both comforting and indulgent at the same time.

And then there are the fries. Plenty of places serve fries with garlic aioli, but Rootstock’s version is one of those dishes I find myself craving weeks later. Crisp, golden, and consistently excellent.

What impresses me most is the consistency. Restaurants can have great nights and off nights, but Rootstock seems incapable of missing. After years of visits and takeout orders, they’ve earned my trust completely.

I’ve eaten burgers all over Chicago, and this remains my favorite. If you live nearby, consider yourself lucky. If you don’t, it’s worth the trip.“

My husband had the ground beef enchilada dinner. We both had a passion fruit margarita. The birria pizza was cooked to perfection. The meat was seasoned, tender, and tasty. The consome was 10 out of 10. My husband said every in the enchiladas dinner was good. The owner and his wife are very friendly. The wife took the order and had a wonderful conversation with us. “Social Junkie is one the top 3 best bars in the dunning area. I’ve been coming here since they rebranded and it’s always been a fun time! Great drink selections and their food is outstanding. I’ve tried a couple of different items from their menu over the years and I recently got their Parma burger and fries. They were both delightful and it’s one of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. I can’t explain it, but the taste was so unique and also very affordable compared to other bar and grills in the city. It’s a worth a visit when you are in the dunning area!“

I love that the lavender lattes are year-round, absolutely scrumptious pastries, friendly staff, and the environment is comfortable. “We have an amazing time every time we go there. We enjoy taking one of our bikes, muscle cars, antique cars etc for a night out, and going for great food and entertainment. The bartender is absolutely fantastic! He remembers what we drive, hobbies etc. It’s just an all around great place to go. The burgers are just absolutely fantastic. And you can’t beat the Monday special. Try the seasoned fries!“

“Stopped in Tuesday 04/21 for a couple drinks and get a pizza. When I arrived only a handful of customers where there, within 45 minutes, over 25+ customers came in for lunch. Armando was the bartender, server etc by himself. Samantha was the on duty manager. They got completely swamped, but thru it all Armando was serving/making drinks and beverages,Taking orders, serving food. Sam noticed how busy it had gotten and took over the hostess station, seating people, bringing food out, answering phones. She also helped Armando out as needed, the 2 of them were working together flawlessly, and quite honestly they rocked it. They should be applauded and given big kudos for the effort they put together, was an uplifting thing to see“

Staff works very hard to make sure that your experience is the best. Their salads are amazing and so are all their appetizers. Let’s not remember.
