“Many restaurant/bars like this in the area however, this one has a very varied menu compared to others. We tried the steak and pork chop this time and both were very good. The server was friendly and attentive, kept our drinks filled which is my primary indicator for deciding the level of tip. There are a lot of booths and tables for what looks like a small place, not at all cramped. A pleasant surprise to find such a great place in the area.“
“Been going to Billy’s for 3 years now, ever since we moved into the neighborhood. I have had some outstanding meals there, equally important, I have never had a bad meal there! Meaning, the consistency at Billy Barooz is nothing short of phenomenal! Stand out meals I’ve had there include: the salmon, (in all its forms), the pasta dishes, the ribeye sandwich (which is my personal favorite), the Caesar salad, the fries, and wow, the sweet potato fries! I could go on but you get the point. As for the service, it is also exceptional. I have never had an issue with how my meal arrives or how I’m treated. Billy’s is, in my opinion, the “fine dining” version of a sports bar. In a town that has very few actual fine dining establishments, it’s nice to know that there is a handful of casual dining places that won’t disappoint when it comes to tasty meals in a comfortable, fun environment. Billy’s is that type of place!“
“Been here several times and every time, the food and service has been fantastic. The steak is always cooked well and the sides are good as well such as the chili and loaded potato. Their quality is better than some other steakhouses I've been to and the presentation looks great so I can tell they put effort in their food.“

“This bar is a true gem! The drinks are not only visually stunning but also incredibly delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall experience. The bar's refined decor adds an extra touch of elegance, making it a standout destination. While the prices may lean towards the higher end, the quality and experience make it well worth it.Additionally, they offer a selection of shareable bites that complement the drinks perfectly. This bar is undoubtedly a destination for special occasions and gatherings with friends. A must-visit for lovers of great drinks!“
“Will come back here. Great food, service, and prices for amount. Quickly seated and served. Plates taken quickly. Allowed me to edit to be dairy free. 100% coming back and trying more!Dietary restrictions: Allowed me to edit the diner stack to be cheese-less and made with sausage instead of beef patty.Parking: Diner is on corner of parking lot with slanted one way parking for free.Kid-friendliness: Booths that seat 4 at a good height for kiddos. Diner wraps around and you could sit in the outer edge to be off to yourself some. Also has kids menu.“
“Went in for a late afternoon lunch. Service was excellent. Dining area was clean. The grilled chicken Cobb salad was very tasty. My mom got some chicken tenders and fries. Definitely recommend! Only downside was a screaming child that should have been sat at a table farther from us.“
“We were seated promptly during a busy time right before a basketball game. We were served promptly and the food was good. I was disappointed however that they didn't have the bistro fried chicken that was on the menu displayed on Open Table.“
“Our visit to Curtis was a perfect fit into our get away day agenda. We arrived early an shopped the store before the pumpkin patch was open the crowds were just building. Bought our cider, donuts, and apple fritters (all delicious) and place them in our vehicles and resumed exploring the farm. This place looks perfect for children 1-15yo a ton of activities and it doesn't really break the bank. We concluded our visit at the Flying Minkey Cafe. I had the Chicken dumpling soup, Mac N Cheese, chili, and a biscuit. I over ate it was all so tasty. The food ordering process was a bit confusing but they really move the people and products through, an enjoyable 2 hours was had by all.“
“Culver's is a delightful spot on the map! The ButterBurgers are a must-try – juicy and flavorful. The frozen custard is a sweet treat that shouldn't be missed. The staff is friendly, and the clean, cozy atmosphere makes it a great place to enjoy a tasty meal.“
“So I came into Champaign I'll for work and came across this gym of a soul food restaurant called "Neil St. Blues." The name reminded me of an old TV show called "Hill St. Blues. I know.....I'm telling my age. LolAnyway, when I walked in, I was immediately greeted with a warm smile and couldn't help but fall in love with the atmosphere. Very relaxed and chill. So I ordered lunch and got the burger and a side of Mac and cheese. My food was absolutely delicious! Seasoned well and tasty. In closing, I had a chance to talk with one of the employees (Mike), and he was pretty cool. Even had a history lesson about Jack Daniel's whisky and the original name. Stop in and ask him about that story and tell him BigBen from ST. LOUIS sent you! Cheers!“
“I went there last night for the first time to see Ice Nine Kills, it's a pretty cool little venue. It has just one big open floor with a bar. Also has a little upstairs balcony area with another bar. I stayed up in the balcony for Ice Nine Kills since it gives a better view of the stage.“
“Stango Cuisine is (supposedly) the only Zambian restaurant in the country. The spot is somewhat difficult to find, but the vibe inside is elegant and comforting. I ordered Emma's platter (a sampler of their most popular entrees, which includes chicken curry, beef stew, and more) and the beignets. This ended up being around 40 bucks, which is quite expensive. Furthermore, it took around 30 minutes for the food to arrive on a not-so-busy Wednesday evening. However, I was absolutely blown away by the food. The rice and beans were unlike any that I've tasted-the rice had a beautiful fluffy texture and the beans were decadent. The greens were also delicious, as was the beef stew. I personally didn't love the chicken curry or the stewed potatoes, but everything else was delicious. The beignets were decent, but nothing to write home about. When I come back, I'll probably get the beef stew, though I'm excited to try the oxtail as well. Overall, this is easily one of the best restaurants in the Champaign area.“
“Great country comfort food. Try the beef and noodles or the fried chicken. The rolls with apple butter can't be missed. We had the absolute best service, such nice people.Parking: Lots of easy parkingKid-friendliness: Super family friendly. We had 4 kids with us and it was great“
“This was my first time going there. So far the food is great! I definitely would recommend their chipotle salad, waffle fries and potato soup. So far that's all I tried. Very clean.Parking: Parking is kind of hard to find on busy days but you can park across the street at the bus terminal, but you have to pay for parking space.“
“Waitress delivered our food, delivered our bill, then left. We finally asked another waitress to send our waitress. She came back & asked what we needed, as our waitress was leaving.Parking: The lot is unsafe. It is VERY DARK! Not good for older people especially. Also security is an issue in a dark parking lot.“
“Prices have went up! Friday's used to be all you could eat walleye at a reasonable price but no longer. Ordered 2 pieces, fries and salad bar...went from around $15 to $23 without tip. Still good food but at that price I won't be going back for lunch.“
“I usually visit here at least one time every time I travel to Champaign. Everything I order has been great. They also have a large selection of beers on tap and plenty of TVs to watch sports. Service was great as well, but a little slow to greet me at the bar even though it was not busy at all. This seems to be typical otherwise it would be 5 stars as well.“
“Big rare cut of meat with water dumped all over it, water splashing around the table, makes the night SO MUCH more fun. After the club go to The Space for sloppy steaks. They'd say; 'no sloppy steaks' but they can't stop you from ordering a steak and a glass of water, before you knew it we were dumping that water on those steaks! The waiters were coming to try and snatch em up, we had to eat as fast as we could! OHHH I MISS THOSE NIGHTS!“
“We came in from out of town. Food was great, best fries I’ve had in a long time.Service was friendly and welcoming.Vegetarian options: Quesadilla, grilled cheese, saladsDietary restrictions: We have egg and dairy allergies they accommodatedParking: Parking right next to the buildingKid-friendliness: Owners and staff were welcoming to the whole family“
“This was my 1st time at the farmhouse restaurant & I loved it. This place isn't like a Cafe or regular restaurant. You walk to the cashier & give them your order. Then they give you a number & bring the food to the table when done. There is free water but if you want something else you place an order at the coffee stand area. Then wait for your drink. There is a mezzanine & it's a more private setting. They have live music which I definitely will be checking out. I saw a drink menu so there's that while listening to the live band.My personal experience was great. Jo the cashier was amazing & such a sweetheart. I told her I was a Virgin to the restaurant & she was so much help. She told me the most popular orders & was such a pleasure.“
“Delicious food, good atmosphere and nice servers. We were party of three, tried egg benedicts, stuffed french toast and crepes. All were delicious. There is 7% surcharge because of the uncontrollable grocery prices but it is acceptable. We will be back.“
“The oil for chicken is overheated or old oil because skin too hard and chicken undercookedThe French Fries were excellentTalked to owner on phone and in person when picking up food she never said "thank you"You need customers the customers don't need youand the woman should wear hair nets, long hair always gets in food“
“My waiter Kris made this one of the most amazing experiences ever. He was kind and really cared about making this a great experience for us. He got us pies and was quick to cater to our needs. Would definitely go here again because of him. Food is great too.“
“I've only had two items here so far- the ribeye sandwich, which was good. The other is their Tuesday special, the hot beef sandwich. Great value and very tasty. Open faced prime rib sandwich and mashed potatoes all topped with gravy for $8.50. savory gravy, creamy potatoes, tender beef- What a delight.I keep eating it so fast that I forget to snap pictures.“
