“Great people great atmosphere“

“Our family dinner of 25 people was absolutely wonderful! Reserving space and ordering a buffet was very easy. The staff assigned to us made sure that the food was brought out in a good flow for our group and that everyone from the three year old to the grandparents had everything they needed. The space set aside for our group gave us plenty of room to catch up with each other while filling plates. I can’t say enough good things about the food - the taste was delicious with plenty for everyone plus some to take home. And to end the evening, the owner stopped by to see how everything was and to congratulate a newly engaged couple! It was just like having your family over at your own home with the benefits of wonderful chefs and staff!“

“It’s a great places to listen to live music. Open mic on Thursday. Friday usually an acoustic musician. Saturday a band.
The Food is pretty good. It is a small menu though. Waitresses are usually very friendly and helpful. Especially Amanda, she is my personal favorite.

Kid-friendliness: Just a good neighborhood bar that people still feel comfortable enough to bring their kids. Wings and pizza are very good.“

“The local craft beer selection is diverse enough to satisfy basically any beer fan. I loved the bacon and jalapeño mac and cheese, and I want to take bottles of the fried pickle dipping sauce home! The bartender Jim was very knowledgeable and handled a very busy bar extremely well. I'm looking forward to my next visit!“

Went on a Tuesday night around 9-10:30 - it was quiet which was nice, but livened up towards the end. “Low key bar, not a big place but cozy. They have slot machines but no pool tables ? Bartender was very attentive to our needs and came over to chat while I was playing my favorite slot machine, she also enjoyed playing the same game. I know this is random but the Women's bathroom door was the cutest ever. Outside looks like a small cramped but nope. It was surprisingly big and clean“

“A perfect spot to chill on a cloudy day. We opened the place for a light bite before going out on a Friday night, and we were warmly welcomed by Colleen, who was just setting things up for the evening. The Cobb Salad was excellent and the wine selection ample.“

“I stopped in and had a few drinks. The bartender was friendly, not a vast selection of hard alcohol, but they had the regular stuff. I asked for food, but no food was available. 2 pool tables, one dart machine, slot machines with a touch game, and iTunes. It was a small place with no table setting, only a bar, but it looked clean and cozy. The bartender seemed very relaxed.“

“I liked it, nice clean facility. Nice big bar area, the grill was clean and the lady cook was very nice, i asked for my amburger in a special way and she accommodated me. My oakbrook OTB is my favorite, been going there for years, but nice to try someplace different. Hawthorne club is a great get away to relax and have fun.“

Not many pool tables,about 2-3 its mainly a younger crowd of peeps that head in there.

“Met some friends for the Cubs opening day game on one of several television screens. I ordered a half pound burger from Thayer Brothers which is next door. It was prepared perfectly paired with fries and some tasty chicken noodle soup. I was in the mood for a beer on tap and was told they have not had "on tap" for over two years due to the pandemic. I hope they get that situation remedied when I go back.“

“We went here for a Friday night fish fry. We did carry out but they are open to the public. Fried cod, baked potato and coleslaw. Myhusband liked the fish alot but said it needed a little lemon or something to spice it up. I had fried shrimp which were very large with a baked potato and coleslaw. The coleslaw was not that great, but we enjoyed the rest of the meal alot. I would recommend this place for a good inexpensive fish fry.“
