“We walked in off the street, didn't expect much but we were absolutely blown away by the environment, the service and the layout of the establishment. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich with au jus and the breaded chicken tenders blew our mind. Our bartender was Ashley, she gave us impeccable service engaging and even when she wasn't there, every other bartender was very engaging and attentive. I don't know why this place is not packed at all times. I've reviewed hundreds of places around the world and this is one of my favorites.“

The menu had a lot of reasonably priced options for food as well. 4 stars because one of our old fashioneds was served with a vibrant red cherry that had a pit in it. So it wasn’t the usual luxardo cherry that I am used to having.
I also love that there is an overwalk that connects you to Santo Cielo.“

“Food was really good. Drinks were very reasonably priced as well as the pizza we had. Joe came out and asked us how everything was. Loni was really nice and made sure if we needed something that we were well taken care of. I love the fact that they kept it true to how it was when originally built but with modern upgrades. Will for sure come back next time I go to visit my brother.

“I loved it! Its in a corner spot was able to find parking! Gypsy was our bartender she made some awesome drinks! small spot but theres a lot to do you can sit at the bar or at a table! food truck outside has delicious tacos

“Low key bar, not a big place but cozy. They have slot machines but no pool tables ? Bartender was very attentive to our needs and came over to chat while I was playing my favorite slot machine, she also enjoyed playing the same game. I know this is random but the Women's bathroom door was the cutest ever. Outside looks like a small cramped but nope. It was surprisingly big and clean“

“We booked a room because we were attending a wedding on the premises. We got upstairs to check in and at least 6 guests were ahead of us in line, despite the line, the check in process was quick and efficient. There were 2 desk attendants and as the line grew and 3rd came out to help. All 3 were pleasant, smiling and very helpful. The room was very nice, spacious, immaculate and comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious. We would definitely stay again.“

Went on a Tuesday night around 9-10:30 - it was quiet which was nice, but livened up towards the end. “I stopped in and had a few drinks. The bartender was friendly, not a vast selection of hard alcohol, but they had the regular stuff. I asked for food, but no food was available. 2 pool tables, one dart machine, slot machines with a touch game, and iTunes. It was a small place with no table setting, only a bar, but it looked clean and cozy. The bartender seemed very relaxed.“

“The local craft beer selection is diverse enough to satisfy basically any beer fan. I loved the bacon and jalapeño mac and cheese, and I want to take bottles of the fried pickle dipping sauce home! Watch a Cubs, White Sox baseball games, Chicago Bears football game. Black Hawks hockey game, 9 big screen TV'S to watch your favorite teams & Pro sports games on. “Love this place. Food and beverages are overpriced and they can crank up the a/c more otherwise I absolutely love the vibe and the staff is friendly. Definitely a classier jazz club. Not your average nightclub at all. The place is filled with nostalgia. Highly recommend! Note: the cover charges can be a little steep. Paid $15 just the other week. Still though, 2+ hours of live music and dancing is worth it to me given the atmosphere.“

“We went here for a Friday night fish fry. We did carry out but they are open to the public. Fried cod, baked potato and coleslaw. Myhusband liked the fish alot but said it needed a little lemon or something to spice it up. I had fried shrimp which were very large with a baked potato and coleslaw. The coleslaw was not that great, but we enjoyed the rest of the meal alot. I would recommend this place for a good inexpensive fish fry.“

“I liked it, nice clean facility. Nice big bar area, the grill was clean and the lady cook was very nice, i asked for my amburger in a special way and she accommodated me. My oakbrook OTB is my favorite, been going there for years, but nice to try someplace different. Hawthorne club is a great get away to relax and have fun.“

“Met some friends for the Cubs opening day game on one of several television screens. I ordered a half pound burger from Thayer Brothers which is next door. It was prepared perfectly paired with fries and some tasty chicken noodle soup. I was in the mood for a beer on tap and was told they have not had "on tap" for over two years due to the pandemic. I hope they get that situation remedied when I go back.“

“I hired B'n Chingon for a party recently and they provided superior service and absolutely delicious food. The set up, cooking, serving and clean up were seamless. I didn't have to lift a finger and could just enjoy the party and my guests. The food was expertly prepared and at a very reasonable cost. I received multiple compliments.“
