“This was my first time here at Pizza Pavia in Prospect Heights, and it was absolutely delicious. We had a couple different kinds of pizza, bruschetta, hot wings, soft and hard drinks. The service was amazing, atmosphere relaxing and fun, and the food was so delicious. I definitely would recommend this place. So delicious.“

I stop by in here for their pizza. It's a thin crust and the largest size takes 12 min to make. 15 min if you ask for it extra crispy. 30 bucks. feeds 3 or 4 grown hungry men, depending. They say it's for more but I say my portions test might be more accurate.
You can ask them to slice it in a specific way. Bottled drinks around 3 dollars with the tax included. Overall if you're splitting the bill with 3 or maybe 4 other people you won't go over 13 ish dollars for pizza and drinks. Pizza is pretty good, staff is nice and if pizza isn't your thing they have alot of other options.“

I recently hosted a birthday celebration at Medieval Times Schaumburg, and it was nothing short of magical! From the moment we walked in, we were transported to another world—a medieval kingdom filled with knights, royalty, and excitement. This was the perfect venue for a group birthday celebration, and here’s why:

Immersive Experience

The atmosphere at Medieval Times is truly immersive. The castle entrance, the banners, the sounds of trumpets—it all makes you feel like you’re stepping into a living, breathing medieval story. We were greeted by the knights and staff as we entered, setting the stage for an epic evening. Even the décor and costumes added to the authenticity, making it easy to forget you were in suburban Schaumburg and not in a faraway kingdom.

Amazing Group Dining

The four-course feast was one of the highlights of the night! It’s served without silverware (a fun, authentic touch) and features hearty, delicious dishes like roast chicken, BBQ ribs, potato wedges, and corn on the cob. The food was fantastic and more than enough to satisfy even the biggest appetites. Everyone at our table had a great time sharing the experience, laughing, and enjoying the meal together.

Everyone was so engaged, cheering on our knight (we were on the Red team!) and getting caught up in the excitement of the jousting and sword fighting. The food was served promptly, and there was plenty of time to savor it while soaking in the show.

Our group was on the edge of our seats the entire time—cheering, gasping, and even groaning at the tense moments. The knights really put on a show, and you could feel the competition in the air.

What made it even better was that the birthday guest of honor was recognized during the show, and they even received a birthday shout-out from the queen and the knights! It was such a fun touch that made the birthday celebration feel extra special. They also received a crown, which was a great keepsake and photo op.

Exceptional Service

The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience. They were friendly, attentive, and really made us feel like we were part of the medieval court. They even brought out a special birthday dessert (apple pie) to the guest of honor, complete with a small celebration. Everyone sang “Happy Birthday,” which made the moment feel even more magical. The entire staff was incredibly professional and made the night run smoothly, which was especially important for a large group.

From the Tuna Tartare appetizer, to the entrees of Carmelized Scallops and Shrimp and Grits, to the shot glass-sized Turtle Cheesecake and Oatmeal Cookie desserts, everything was delicious. “We were so impressed with this place! We were craving Korean food and felt so glad to have stumbled upon this authentic restaurant in Niles/Morton Grove.

Everything looked so good on the menu that we ended up over ordering with 4 dishes for 3 people: Jokbal (boiled pig trotters), Seafood Pajeon, Gopchang Jeongul (beef intestine spicy stew) and fried chicken wings. The platters looked just like the menu pictures, and everything was so flavorful and tasted so authentic as if it was a home cooked meal. We definitely could've just ordered the pajeon and jokbal and we would have been stuffed.

Jokball was tender and fresh, nicely thin slices. The seafood pancake by itself was great, crispy on the edges with the right amount of mixed seafood (not just batter). Gopchang jeongul was the highlight to the meal - savory and not overbearing spicy. Fried chicken wings were pretty good, too. This was an amazing, cozy meal.

On top of the great meal, the hostess/owner was so accommodating and kind! She gave food explanations and checked in on us often to ensure we had everything. I cannot wait to come back to try other dishes!
