“A very well run operation. Ordered pizza for pick up on New Year's Eve & when I arrived, this place was jumping!! Paid for my order and cashier told me it would be out of the oven in 5 minutes. Lots was happening so, 20 minutes later guy with an apron calls my name and I step up to the counter. 'We didn't make your pizza right, gotta redo it'. He apologized sincerely & offered to have it delivered so I didn't have to hang around. I accepted (no big deal, it's pizza, stuff happens, grace, all the good stuff!) He's then waived the purchase price for the pizza! I've seen this in situations where the customer was ranting or creating a scene etc but, rarely because it shows appreciation for the patron. I am a 'brand loyal' person. If they treat me right, we good! I will continue to support Beggars Pizza because they treated me as a valued customer. Great job“

“Was recommended this restaurant from a friend. The maple tree and did not disappoint. Made a reservation online easy. Their menu is awesome, simple and delicious. Crab cake was perfect! Our dinner was fantastic. We had trout and shrimp. They have the best banana pudding over crème brûlée. The coffee for an end cap was out of this world good!“

“My husband Jack and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary tonight, and on a last minute whim he chose Bella Mia. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of phenomenal, and I had to write this review immediately. The moment we walked in, we were greeted not only by the host and hostess, but also by several staff members and even guests at the bar. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, welcoming, and incredibly friendly. Pure class. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and perfectly accented with soft candlelight, making the evening feel special and intimate. We sat at the bar and were welcomed by Gina, the bartender, who was extremely attentive and genuinely kind, making us feel right at home. The food was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The owner, Randy, came by to greet us and his personality was truly infectious. He had us laughing nonstop and made our night even more memorable. We also had the pleasure of sitting next to Marcy and Dick, regulars who have been coming since day one. Even though this was our very first visit, we felt like part of the Bella Mia family. From the staff to the clientele, the love and pride behind this place are undeniable. Bella Mia is truly one of a kind and deserves all the recognition it receives. I had the corned beef benedict and not only was it the best corned beef I've ever had in my life, but the orange juice was amazing, the service was great, and the value was fabulous also! “This reminds me of the old supper clubs serving the little appetiser trays with the bread. This is one of the best places for a steak dinner I have ever been to! Great steaks, terrific and attentive wait staff and the best and friendliest bartender I have ever experienced. I rated it 5 stars but this place is off the scales! The char of the steaks is only something I could dream of doing at home. If you are not a meat eater, you can graze in the forest preserve down the street. Outstanding every time I go there!“

“I went here Sunday for lunch. The food and service was excellent. I had the steak and chorizo taco with rice and beans. Both tacos were filled with meat. Super good and filling. I highly recommend the apple pie. I got the dessert to go and it did not disappoint. It was the best apple pie I have ever had.“

“Well, if they cook your food properly, it's not bad... however, if they don't and you need to send it back to cook it (not a fan of raw burgers 🤷‍♀️) and it comes back the same way... be prepared to not eat and pay for the meal anyway. I asked for it to be removed from our bill (over $100 total so not just a couple things) and they removed it after a small "fight" but literally charged us for a basket of fries cuz I ate a few fries off my plate, I guess. they don't take care of their mistakes nor do they care to make things right. Lost future business, everyone at the table was shocked.“

“If ever there was a place which resonates the Billy Joel song “Scenes from an Italian restaurant “ This place is IT! Visited for the first time on 2/14/26. The aroma as we entered was so inviting. Met the owners/ daughter and mom. So very sweet and funny too. Our server was Candy. She was working very hard on a busy Valentine’s Day. I had the lasagna and I can honestly say it was the best lasagna I’ve ever had in my life! The ricotta filling was so whipped and light. It was just delightful and so delicious. The bomba ice cream was scrumptious! Cannot wait to return to this gem of a restaurant!! 🇮🇹“

“One of my favorite places to have a perfectly prepared dinner. The food never disappoints. Portions are large, so taking home enough for tomorrow's lunch is always possible. The service is really great. Most of the servers have been there for a long time so they know the menu well and are attentive without being obsessive. My favorite on the menu is the Tournedos of Beef. The sauce over them is wonderful.“

“I grew up in Tinley Park and the Olympic Star has been a staple in our city forever. I'm now out of state but every time we're back in the Chicago area we go to the Star. Everything is phenomenal in this restaurant and the Chicken Soup is to die for, it's so good we went home with 3 qts of it to take it home out-of-state“

The food and drinks are great (obsessed with the lavender lemonade they make in the summer), the bar itself is very cool and historic and their outdoor patio is dog friendly. My husband has done the distillery tour for his bachelor party and thought it was really fun. Highly recommend!“

“I come here once a week. I normally get 2 bowls of soup and my boyfriend gets 1 in addition to the other food we get. Today I wasn’t feeling well and wanted to get our soup to go. They wouldn’t sell us more than 2 cups of soup. Thats very irritating considering the fact we get 3 bowls every weekend. I can go down the street and get a whole quart of soup from another breakfast place. I will continue to come here because I love the food and service from Rachel but they need to step it up for sure. Sometimes they don’t even have soup.“
