“I was at a company party right around the corner, they ordered food but things I couldn't eat. So I snuck out and stopped in here. asked if there was any specials, they had The personal pizza for $5.99. I thought okay whatever I got two toppings and didn't expect much but oh my god. This was some of the best pizza I've had in a long time.There's so many things on the menu, you really need a few minutes to look at everything to see what they have. They have all types of signature pizzas that sound marvelous. I pulled in Wednesday night didn't even wait maybe much more than 5 minutes from when I ordered to when it was done...two topping cheese with onions and black olives, paid cash and left. I didn't even make it inside to our function, I had to eat it in the car it was so amazing. There's about three more of these locations in between those one I'm leaving the review for and our house so we're getting another pizza tonight but sorry we're not driving all that way. we're getting one from Evanston. we'll see if it's just as good. If not, we're driving all the way out there to this store for more pizza. Very nice woman at the register and a very hard-working guy in the back. The bathroom was clean, had towels, soap, whatever. most little strip mall places like this don't pay attention to that stuff. I usually take lots of photos of all the carry out or restaurants I visit but this pizza was so good I was not going to pick up my phone and interrupt my eating. next time, next time.this location has a fancy painted up Prius for a delivery vehicle and offers free delivery as well.“

“A solid pizza that's worth adding to your rotation. We got a deep dish pepperoni for takeout, so I can't speak to the interior. But the sauce and pepperoni were fantastic. Basically the same thing as Pequod's. The big difference is the crust. While Pequod's crust is very airy and crunchy, Burt's crust has less rise. I really liked it, but it was probably thicker than it needed to be. It loses one star because the carmelized crust was straight-up burnt. I love Pequod's outer ring of crispy cheese, Burt's edges were charred to tastelessness. I was bummed about that. Still, Burt's was a tasty treat. It's great to have another standout option in the Chicago area pizza pantheon!“

“We came by to Moe's after hearing about an advertisement for a special brunch event, and we were floored by the wonderful people running this place! They were very friendly and inviting, and held a simple but classic brunch with mimosas and the atmosphere was kind and caring! We haven't been to it in the evening as a bar, but this brunch special is something they'd like to run monthly and we'll worth it!“

“Happen to find this little gem while waiting for a tow truck for my boyfriend‘s truck today. I was thinking Subway, but then I found this. I am so glad that I walked in there, and that she talked me into the focaccia Capri style. The foot-long is massive the sandwiches, and the meats are phenomenal and the service could not have been better, I don’t care if I live 40 minutes from here I’m coming back !!“

“Hands down one of the best restaurants I've been to. A beautiful place with a great vibe. They have a bar in the main dining area which is great if you're looking to hangout after dinner. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and fun! Every dish we had was SPECTACULAR!!!. We ordered about 8 dishes and every single one was delicous. You can tell they use high quality products/ingredients. Lastly, the price we paid for this 10 STAR experience was too low in my opinion. I would easily pay triple the amount for this place. “These guys nailed the Indian-fusion food! Simple but excellent adaptations of classic favourites from Indian, Korean, American, Mexican, Italian cuisines (and then some!)We tried the vada pav (Indian burger with stuffed fried potato patty, spices etc) tacos samosa and chicken tikka were both delicious! Momos (potstickers), thin crust pizza, and samosa chaat (smashed samosas with chickpeas, chutneys, onions etc)Pleasantly surprised every dish done just perfectly with its own twist on the original. And lovely presentation.They have an ice cream station (not to be missed!)The place is casual, perky and fun… Absolutely try this place out.“

“Came in again to try out their pizza special. I got the 2 slices and a drink last time, and it was too much for me. Just got a slice of sausage, and my usual soda can. Place is usually nice and clean. Everyone is friendly and acknowledges you when you walk in. It was cooked nicely and great crust. It wasn't too hard or soft, but just the right amount of crunch. The best part is that it's not really greasy like others. Big plus in my book. I definitely would come back if I'm in the area. Perks of working out in the field and trying new places.“

“We had eaten at a Lou Malnati’s several years ago and didn’t care for the pizza we had tried. But since we’ve heard so many people rave about their pizza, we decided to give the place another try this last time we were in Chicago.The restaurant has plenty of seating, but going late on a Thursday night meant the place was pretty empty. We had prompt service, but the pizza does take time to make. Plan on at least 30 minutes to get it delivered to your table.We ordered the Malnati Chicago Classic and added mushrooms. I’m not a big fan of sausage, so I was a bit hesitant to order it. However, I really enjoyed the pizza overall. The sausage wasn’t overly strong, and the tomato sauce had a wonderful sweetness to it. The crust was cooked to perfection, and the mozzarella cheese was plentiful.So did this pizza measure up? Absolutely! We will definitely be back!“

“(Northbrook Location) Extremely easy to place my order. The employee (Tony) I believe.. Who had taken my order 1/17/2024, was polite and detailed throughout the order process.. And when I arrived he continued to be Very Professional, Helpful & Welcoming to a new customer, “which he did not know I was”. This was our second time ordering, and were completely satisfied and everything came as ordered.. First time was a younger woman who took the order and she was friendly and easy to deal with as well.. I don’t recall her name (Sorry) or date I ordered. But it was about a week prior to my second order. Also shout out to the cooks and other employees who made this meal happen. A++ All Around.. so we thank you all. “Our Veal Marsala was great. We both had the same thing. The portions were so large that we had a lot to take home, and we have enough for another dinner. We were celebrating my wife's Birthday and they provided a delicious Italian Lemon cake, ice cream with chocolate sauce. Most of all our server, Maria, was excellent. Her Birthday is today, the day after my wife's birthday. We will be back very soon!“

“I can't understand the negative reviews. I brought my three girls here for lunch and we had an amazing lunch! We last dined here about a year ago. The service was incredibly fast, the fried calamari was delicious, and the pizza was amazing. My picky eater asked for four more meatballs after devouring the first three that came on her spaghetti. I decided to try the soup/sandwich combo. It was so difficult to choose a sandwich because they ALL sounded amazing. I was very pleased with the Italian sandwich with the asparagus soup. I wish I would have brought a quart of the soup home for my husband to enjoy. The ingredients are fresh and everything tastes wonderful. I am already looking forward to our next visit!!“

This place is a hidden spot in the plaza la rosita. In Palatine. I’ve been here a few times before making a review cuz I really wanted to give an honest opinion! First off cleanliness is awesome! Place looks well cared for and clean. 2nd Customer Service ❤️ THIS is the first reason why I came back! They are great people and always a joy to see their smiles and warm greetings. Now to the food. “Had lunch in...chicken parmesan was dry, not enough sauce, chicken tasted old, didn't like. Would have liked ice water at table rather than having to purchase $2 bottles of water. Bread was excellent. Paid and tipped, but no table service, so not sure why.Cannolis that we took to-go for a birthday were fantastic. Rosemary focaccia to-go, also great.“

“I couldn't have picked a better place for my first official Chicago pizza experience - though unassuming at first glance, the food hit all the right notes. My pizza had a perfect thin crust that wasn't tough or too hard, but could still stand up to the toppings. Both the cheese and sausage had great flavor, and neither was greasy. The pizza had just the right amount of sauce, and wasn't too acidic. The slices were large but surprisingly light. While I can't eat beef, I tried a bit of the bread, peppers, and giardiniera from the Italian beef sandwich and it was all delicious. The prices were very reasonable and everything came out super quick. Apart from the food, what really made Gigio's stand out to me was the staff. This is a true community restaurant - they actually know and care about their customers. They remembered my dad even after 30+ years, both Vito and Mama Nitti came out to chat with us and ask about how our family was doing. They even remembered how my grandfather used to order his pizzas back when they lived in the neighborhood. If you're looking for a mom and pop restaurant with delicious pizza and a great local feel, Gigio's is the place for you!“

“We picked up our first pizza from Pizza Pavia tonight. The phone staff was friendly and efficient. We arrived early and had a beer at the bar. We only hope that they put in draft beers soon rather than only bottled beers. It looked like they had a nice selection of wine and seltzers too. The bar staff was friendly and helpful. We took our pizza home and ate it. It was absolutely delicious! It reminded us of little Italian in Buffalo Grove that closed years ago. “My work team and I went to Union Ale House to take part in their Wednesday night trivia competition. We had a fun time. There is something on the menu for everyone and lots of drink choices too. The food was tasty. Service was good, which for a group of our size was impressive. The only two criticisms I had were that the bathroom could use improvement and the parking lot needs help. Not enough spaces to park and I parked by a very scary looking ditch. We'd definitely go back again.“

This is not a venue that just wants your money, they truly care about their customers and strive to make sure that from start to finish everything goes well. From the laborious set-up to breakdown for both of my events they could not have been more helpful!We also got so many compliments on the food from our guests, their pizza is definitely some of the best on the North Shore! The bar staff is amazing and so efficient. Not only do they make awesome cocktails (their butterscotch bourbon was a crowd favorite), you also feel their genuine commitment to making sure that the event is a success. No matter what my request was of the management, or the bar or waitstaff, they made it happen with a smile on their faces. “My family and a couple of my sons hockey team members needed a quick food spot by the local Northbrook rink. Couple doors down from Pure Hockey too, bonus. Food was fantastic, lots of different options and had TVs to watch sports. Quick and easy. Menu was huge from Pizza, sandwiches/subs, salads, pasta and desserts. Staff was nice too. Would highly recommend.“

“I’m not big on reviews, but these guys absolutely deserve one. I would post a picture of the food but I ate it too fast before writing this. Their tortas are not on the list to review, but they’re low-key a “hidden gem” here. By hidden I mean they’re on the back page of the menu but if you choose to get them, you will not be disappointed. They’re loaded to the brim, packed with flavor, and the bread is crispy and everything you want out of your torta filling holder. I’ll be trying their pizza next, as the single slices were top tier. “Food was excellent as always. Service was fine, not bad, not great... just a little slow, but it was a busy night. It took a little while to order. It took a little while to get our check. Our server was very sweet and professional, timing was just off, that's all. Our apps came out at the same time as our entrees, which was a little unexpected... but again, it's fine, glad we were at a table because we needed the space. Ultimately will go back for the great food at reasonable prices.“

“We had our son's 1st birthday in the Fireplace Room at Countryside Saloon recently and we couldn't have been happier with how it turned out! We'd recommend anyone to have a big party here. We had about 50 guests and the space was more than big enough for people to walk around and mingle or sit down to eat. Staff allowed me to arrive an hour before the official party start-time so we could put up birthday decorations, including a large balloon arch (which the staff actually helped us take down & discard after the party, which was very helpful). We ordered an unlimited pizza, salad, and pasta salad food option from the kitchen, along with unlimited domestic beer pitchers, which all worked out wonderfully; food was delicious and nobody left hungry (or thirsty!). And the cost was reasonable to feed 50 people. Too bad our son will be too young to remember it, but everyone else had a great time!“

“This past December marked the very 1st time trying a Slyce location. I'm aware of the Wauconda location which has been around for a few years now but just never got around to trying.Was actually quite impressed with the quality of food here. Most "fast-fired" pizza venues I've been to typically are good but this place definitely screams high-end compared to the likes of Blaze, MOD, Pie Five, etc.The pizza is really good here and the prices seem reasonable despite the rise in cost dating back to the spring of 2020. Dining room is kept squeaky clean and the service reigns supreme.If ever in the mood for pizza when in the area which is easily at least one day every other weekend I'm in Vernon Hills, I know where to go.“
