“We were in town for a convention and staying at a hotel. We decided to order a pizza our last night there. We chose Joe's at random, and we were not disappointed. Our order was delivered promptly by a very nice, and courteous person. The pizza we ordered was delicious. We loved everything about it -the thin crust, delicious sauce (not too much), and generous amount of cheese. I especially liked that the toppings were under the cheese, and there were herbs!! I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet, the dousing of powdered sugar not too thick and the texture fairly homogenous, which is a nice moderation after a big meal. salad had a great variety of vegetables and honestly I'd come here just for that. but my favorite part was the pizza. I got mushroom and black olive thin crust pizza. the sauce was lovely, smelled great too. they actually put the mushroom under the cheese, like civilized people, and not on top like the chains do. that way the mushroom juices actually absorb into the sauce and cheese, harmonizing the flavor compounds, instead of evaporating and feeling separated. why order mushroom if you do not love it enough to embrace its essense in abundance? why bother if only to just barely keep grasp on its form as a skeleton? service was great, appropriately timed and nice people.“

“Happy 2026! This is my first video review, and I’m starting strong with Vince’s Pizza in Niles, IL. Hands down, this is the best pizza spot I’ve had in the Chicagoland area. In my opinion, it’s as good as, if not better than, Pantaleone’s in Denver, Colorado. The quality of the pizza is outstanding. It easily surpasses every slice I tried at Pizza Fest Chicago 2025. Vince uses incredibly fresh ingredients, and it shows in every bite. The crust is exceptional, honestly on par with some of the best pizza spots in NYC. Service is top-notch. Vince himself is the owner, chef, cashier, and server, which adds a personal touch you don’t find often. He’s friendly, welcoming, and happy to offer recommendations based on what you like. It’s no surprise he’s been a multiple-year Pizza Wars winner. On top of that, the pricing is unbeatable for the size and quality, easily better value than places like Rosati’s, Viccino’s Pizza Company, and Giordano’s. The ambiance feels like stepping into an old-school neighborhood pizza shop. It’s nostalgic, warm, and refreshing, something that’s becoming harder and harder to find. Final recommendation: Try the pizza by the slice (it’s massive basically a quarter of a pie), the Vince’s Special, or the Meat Lovers.
