“Great pizza, maybe the best in the area. But they really need to figure out logistics. They always seem to need several hours' lead time on preparing a pizza. If you call them at 4:30 pm, good luck getting something before 7:00. Seems like they need to expand to get more oven space. I'd eat there more often, but I'm not always thinking about dinner at 1:00 in the afternoon and most of the time I call, it's too long of a wait before anything can be ready.“
“Joe gave excellent customer service, the supervisor was awesome and the whole team appeared to be: working hard and working together in a positive and inclusive manner. All we need is vegan cheese and vegan meat. Friday, July 29th around 4:45pm.“
“Absolutely. Worth. All. The. Hype!!!! OMG I’ve been trying to get my hands on this pizza and I finally did and let me tell you… incredible flavors the pepperoni with the jalapeños and the sauce was perfect! It is by no means thin crust New York style Lucalis pizza but this is Chicago pan pizza all day!!!!“
“It's truly a crime that this place doesn't have more reviews. This is one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life. The sourdough is splendid, giving the crust a beautiful balance between soft and crunchy. The sauce is out of this world, I wish they sold jars of it so I could eat it more often. Every topping is incredibly flavorful and fresh. My favorites were the ricotta, cherry tomatoes, beef meatballs, and spinach.Make sure to preorder at least a day before you plan to go, since they make a limited amount of pizzas. Do yourself a favor and order the larger size, that way you can enjoy leftovers once you're back home and dreaming about the pizza! I can't wait to come back here again soon!“
“You know the kind of spot you pray you stumble into on that beautiful sunny day when you're feeling spontaneous, out on a walk and hungry, only to be completely blown away by the food and service and need to tell all your friends about it? That's Sfera.I've been a chef for many years and the food quality and consistency here is unmatched. They are not only talented Chefs & Cooks, but they clearly understand how to operate a business because it is consistently executed. My fiance (vegetarian) and I now frequent this spot. It is our feel-good neighborhood drop-in. Coffee is great, people are friendly, food is awesome.I hope to see an elevated full service concept in their future. They clearly have the chops.“
“I absolutely loved visiting! Pizza was amazing and the hospitality was unmatched! We tried slices of so many different varieties and couldn’t decide on our favorite! The salad and asparagus were so refreshing and brought the perfect balance to our meal. I can’t wait to come back!! If you are anywhere near Evanston you need to stop by, and if not you need to add this to your travel list!“
“A solid pizza that's worth adding to your rotation. We got a deep dish pepperoni for takeout, so I can't speak to the interior. But the sauce and pepperoni were fantastic. Basically the same thing as Pequod's. The big difference is the crust. While Pequod's crust is very airy and crunchy, Burt's crust has less rise. I really liked it, but it was probably thicker than it needed to be. It loses one star because the carmelized crust was straight-up burnt. I love Pequod's outer ring of crispy cheese, Burt's edges were charred to tastelessness. I was bummed about that. Still, Burt's was a tasty treat. It's great to have another standout option in the Chicago area pizza pantheon!“
“When I visited Zimis pizza and grill, i was just trying a new lunch spot and i ordered the grandmas pizza and i also tried the traditional qevapis. Very good pizza, and also the qebapis were to die for. the service was great. the enviroment was very classy, and upscale. i would definitely reccomend zimis to any one looking for good food.“
“From the moment we stepped into Munno Pizzeria and Bistro, we were greeted with a warmth that only foreshadowed the delightful evening ahead. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it an ideal setting for any occasion. Each dish we ordered was a testament to the chef’s mastery over Italian cuisine, blending traditional flavors with a modern twist that left us savoring every bite. The pizza, with its perfectly charred crust and innovative toppings, was a highlight, while the pasta dishes were reminiscent of a culinary journey through Italy. What truly sets Munno apart, however, is the impeccable service. The staff’s attention to detail and genuine care for the dining experience made us feel truly special. Our dinner at Munno Pizzeria and Bistro wasn’t just a meal; it was a memorable dining experience that we’re already looking forward to repeating. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, missing out on this Michelin-starred gem would be a mistake. Bravo to the Munno team for exceeding our expectations!“
“These guys nailed the Indian-fusion food! Simple but excellent adaptations of classic favourites from Indian, Korean, American, Mexican, Italian cuisines (and then some!)We tried the vada pav (Indian burger with stuffed fried potato patty, spices etc) tacos samosa and chicken tikka were both delicious! Momos (potstickers), thin crust pizza, and samosa chaat (smashed samosas with chickpeas, chutneys, onions etc)Pleasantly surprised every dish done just perfectly with its own twist on the original. And lovely presentation. They have an ice cream station (not to be missed!)The place is casual, perky and fun… Absolutely try this place out.“
“Came in again to try out their pizza special. I got the 2 slices and a drink last time, and it was too much for me. Just got a slice of sausage, and my usual soda can. Place is usually nice and clean. Everyone is friendly and acknowledges you when you walk in. It was cooked nicely and great crust. It wasn't too hard or soft, but just the right amount of crunch. The best part is that it's not really greasy like others. Big plus in my book. I definitely would come back if I'm in the area. Perks of working out in the field and trying new places.“
“When in Chicago, you can't skip on this place. The pizza was amazing. This was my first time trying Deep Dish (Chicago Style) pizza, and I'm glad I went with the best for my first time. We also had the fried mozzarella and the bruschetta. The Bruschetta is nicknamed "The Best" and after having it, I now know why. Our waitress was super nice. She was an older lady with a Boston accent but she was so funny and took really good care of us.“
“So good! Served up food for 5 people to go in about 20 minutes and every person was super happy with their food! Our favorite place in the neighborhood. Update: still the best place in the neighborhood. Update 2: still our fave, Burger of the week this week (2/8/24) was SO GOOD!“
“This pizza pie is so very delicious. Imagine good dough rolled out thin topped by tangy sauce and thin coating of cheese with flavorful Italian sausage in hand formed balls. I haven’t been excited by a pizzeria near me for quite some time. Did I mention chewy crust. I also tried their deep fried cauliflower with garlic Ali oil. Golden crisp heads of cauliflower served with your choice of sauce. My next adventure I will try the Cesar salad and another flavor of pizza ... can’t wait. Love me some Logan Square pizza..“
“I ordered through Postmates recently, and the food is amazing, so I decided to come in today! The decor is so lovely and the service is great as well. I'm so glad I got to dine in. Their outside patio is cute, and they have lots of seating available inside/ out. It was pretty busy. I can't wait to come back and enjoy. New favorite place! Their vegetarian and vegan options are amazing.Vegetarian options: They can sub egg with vegan egg, they also have beyond sausage, non diary alternatives and more!“
“I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala pizza, and oh. my. goodness. It was love at first bite! The crust was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The sauce was rich and flavorful, and the chicken was tender and juicy. And the cheese? Melted to perfection! ?And let's not forget the prices! So affordable and worth every penny. I'll definitely be back for more. ?In short, Halal Pizza Point is a must-visit for anyone looking for delicious, authentic halal pizza. Don't miss out! ? 5/5 stars ?"“
“(Northbrook Location) Extremely easy to place my order. The employee (Tony) I believe.. Who had taken my order 1/17/2024, was polite and detailed throughout the order process.. And when I arrived he continued to be Very Professional, Helpful & Welcoming to a new customer, “which he did not know I was”. This was our second time ordering, and were completely satisfied and everything came as ordered.. First time was a younger woman who took the order and she was friendly and easy to deal with as well.. I don’t recall her name (Sorry) or date I ordered. But it was about a week prior to my second order. Also shout out to the cooks and other employees who made this meal happen. A++ All Around.. so we thank you all. Including management who hired some great employees… We will definitely be ordering much more often.. Thanks Again to the Authority!! 5 Stars All Around..Steve @ Hawthorne Global“
“Our Veal Marsala was great. We both had the same thing. The portions were so large that we had a lot to take home, and we have enough for another dinner. We were celebrating my wife's Birthday and they provided a delicious Italian Lemon cake, ice cream with chocolate sauce. Most of all our server, Maria, was excellent. Her Birthday is today, the day after my wife's birthday. We will be back very soon!“
“The food is authentic Italian and is delicious, especially the Rigatoni Con Sugo Di Carne! You can dine in to enjoy pleasant atmosphere and friendly, attentive service. It's in the center of a strip building between other restaurants that look alike so it's kind of hard to notice. In fact, I was told about the place and I live six blocks from it and drive by it almost every day.I have not tried the pizza since the Rigatoni is so good. If you like genuine Italian food, try it. You will return!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs look like they can roll right in. It's all ground level.“
“Good spot... walking in.. it's really busy with a small bar and many tables surrounding/ exposed brick walls. Nice wine list with some good Italian bottles. Good menu with half a dozen apps, homemade pasta dishes & entrees! They also had an excellent *Specials Menu* she said. Started with a couple of glasses of Barbera and some baked clams with the bread of course. Great wine & clams were on the smaller side with an excellent sauce! They are known for their homemade pasta and I decided to try the special. This was a Jalapeño Gnocchi in a Vodka Cream sauce with Corn, etc... it was excellent, cooked perfectly! For dessert we had the Molten Chocolate Cake which was also very good & great ice cream. Waitress was very good & prices are a bit above average but worth it/ you can taste the quality ingredients for sure! Close it out with some Limoncello Shots// talk later“
“Unfortunately, BCC closed just before Valentine's Day and so far, no news on where the key team members have moved on to. And no news on what may replace on this site, this is truly the tragic loss of a restaurant that was destined for great things.“
“Last Friday my wife and I dropped into Joes for the first time and we weren’t disappointed! We were greeted by friendly staff and live music! David was our server and he was attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and had great food recommendations! My wife and I tried a few appetizers and the pizza. Everything we ate was delicious! This place is a 10/10 and we will definitely be going back!“
“This place has great deep dish pizza!! We were up at O'Hare and wanted to get a good local pizza and we hit the jackpot pot! The marinara sauce was superb and the Italian sausage was so flavorful! The service was great! Very attentive and polite! This is a traditional "local hole in the wall" gem!! So glad we went! Highly recommend!!“
“Calo is a very good restaurant very good food very good service and if I ever decide to go eat up to restaurant I would choose Calo they are the best. I’ve been going there for many years. I recommend this restaurant very good atmosphere very clean very nice good service.“
“Bar none, the best pizza in Chicago. On top of the amazing pizza, the service is some of the best around. In a world where customers have been left out to dry, JB Alberto's staff really ramps it up and goes above and beyond. Thank you so much for the amazing experience.“
“Friendly phone person to start out . Thank you, Katy . ( Some restaurants have lost sight of the importance of the first person to represent their business . No one wants to deal with a cocky and rude high school girl who can't get their order right. ) Excellent Pizza! Nice CRUNCH on their thin crust dough . Only very slightly thicker crust than most. And not burnt or charred . ( Not that I mind a good char taste ) The cheese is perfectly caramelized, so I wouldn't risk losing that by ordering a well done pizza . The crunchy dough stands up well to the slightly generous amount of sauce that is perfectly balanced . Extra thin sliced fresh veggies are also much appreciated .“
“Panino's Pizzeria was, frankly, a very pleasant surprise. We agreed to meet friends here - they had recommended it. It looked like so many run-of-the-mill pizza/Italian food joints in the Chicago area, that we weren't expecting much. Boy, were we wrong. This is NOT nouvelle cuisine Italian-style, but rather stereotypical, Italian-American food that is hearty and quite tasty. Gratis bread to start the meal, followed by pork meatballs in red sauce and burrata. My wife had the lasagna - very nice portion, and I had the pork chops with broccoli. The wait staff (Fred) was bend over backwards accommodating us. The fried dough with chocolate was amazing. The prices are moderate. And none of us had pizza! We're certain to return to try some (they serve several styles). Huge thumbs up!“
“Shoutout to my favorite restaurant Tel Aviv Kosher Pizza! This is a must if you’re in Chicago! Going down memory lane. Tel-Aviv Kosher Pizza has been around and in the same location at least since my Dad was in Brisk Yeshiva going back to 1975. I grew up eating here 3-4 times a week. Ordered Pizza, Pizza Puff, French Fries with real cheddar cheese (something you don’t find in most restaurants) and Beer Battered Onion Rings. Same consistent amazing taste! Thank you! #onebite #TelAvivPizzaChicago“
“I love Pequod's so when I heard we had a place on the North Shore that was similar I was definitely intrigued. But also definitely skeptical. It's a small joint with zero atmosphere so it didn't look promising. But man oh man, the crust does not lie. Another reviewer called out the sausage and I have to agree. That might have been the best sausage deep dish that I've ever had. I almost wish my stomach were bigger so that I could have had a third slice. I can't wait for summer so I can truly enjoy a pizza on the sidewalk, something you could never do at Pequod's.“
“Nice atmosphere; good pizzas with decent vegan options! Great restaurant to enjoy before seeing a show at SPACE. Delicious cocktails too!Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options; fewer vegan options but there are some.Dietary restrictions: Have gluten free crust too.“
“I have lived by here for over 10 years and never realized this was a pizza place ? needless to say I've been missing out! I went during a super busy March Madness day and ordered to go because it was packed. The service was great I got my pizza fast. I didn't know it was thin crust but I didn't care it was so good. The side salad too was so good. I can't wait to eat here again, it was great. I took one bite and couldn't stop to take a pic, we inhaled it.Parking: You have to find street parking and read the signs, don't even think of parking at Walgreens they towKid-friendliness: Loud and definitely kid friendly sports environment“
“My nephew is friends with the owner and loves their food and wanted me to try it and I have to say I was very impressed. The chicken Parmesan was top-notch and the garlic rolls with the garlic inside delicious and prices that you can’t beat!“
“My goodness what a sweet gem of a place. Off the beaten path and I would’ve never gone here if it wasn’t for an event. They accommodated our group of 12 and were so attentive. We ordered most everything on the menu including bolognese, carbonara, all sorts of salads, crispiest fries, a couple of pizzas. Everything was solid and as hoped. The service was outstanding. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, very casual. Most people dinning appeared to be regulars there and we could see why. If you’re in the area, definitely give this place a try.“
“I got a Philly cheesesteak sandwich from Eastern Pizza last night and boy! Was it Delicious. New standard. I’m a customer for life and I want another one right now!Perfect amount of meat very toasted garlic bread and right amount of toppings“
“Dino’s Pizza is amazing! Our server John was friendly and helpful!! We order a non-traditional deep dish (no tomatoes). It’s was delicious! The crust smelled like it came from a bakery!!Dietary restrictions: They have gluten-free options and can make a pizza without nightshades.Kid-friendliness: Great family atmosphere!“
“I have driven by this place about 8,000 times and never paid much attention to it so when my BF suggested we go there, I was happy to give it a try! There is easy parking in a lot right in front. The ambiance is simple and cozy with a plentiful amount of tables. It has a family owned vibe which I appreciate. We each ordered our own pizza and equally enjoyed them. One veggie + arugula and one pepperoni + olive. A nearby table ordered a salad and I will definitely do the same next time as it looked large and fresh! I'm so glad to have this in the neighborhood and will certainly be back again soon. Thank you.“
“Great bar! Like a REAL bar, where you can grab a beer and a shot, talk Chicago sports and neighborhood with Regulars, helmed by a great bartender, Ken. Bonus Points... having an incredible name (Bringer Inn, love that) and being right next door to, arguably, Chicago's BEST Deep Dish pizza.“
“I am writing this review from a personal and professional standpoint, as I have hosted a few work events at 28-Mile over the past year, and recently had my son's Bar Mitzvah party there. As a former event planner, and someone who plans numerous events for my job, I can honestly say that I have never encountered a more professional and accommodating staff. From the ownership, to the management, to the bar & waitstaff, and I have to mention the woman who tirelessly maintains the cleanliness of the venue, each and every one of them go above and beyond to ensure everything runs smoothly for your event. Both of the recent events I hosted had elaborate set-ups, and the entire staff (even the owner!) helped make sure the space looked the best it possibly could. From my initial meetings with Mike the manager, to the walk thru/layout details of the space, and menu discussions, Mike gave me his undivided attention and great suggestions as to what would work best. He promptly answered any questions I had, and leading up to my events he could not have been more responsive, flexible and accommodating. This is not a venue that just wants your money, they truly care about their customers and strive to make sure that from start to finish everything goes well. From the laborious set-up to breakdown for both of my events they could not have been more helpful! We also got so many compliments on the food from our guests, their pizza is definitely some of the best on the North Shore! The bar staff is amazing and so efficient. Not only do they make awesome cocktails (their butterscotch bourbon was a crowd favorite), you also feel their genuine commitment to making sure that the event is a success. No matter what my request was of the management, or the bar or waitstaff, they made it happen with a smile on their faces. If a scenario is possible, they will do whatever they can to make your vision come to life.If you are considering having an event at 28-Mile do not hesitate, I promise you will not be disappointed. I am already thinking about other events I can plan there, especially when the weather gets warm so I can utilize their roof & patio. I could not possibly be more grateful to everyone at 28-Mile for helping to make my son's Bar Mitzvah party a night we will never forget!!!“
“What an amazing place. I have been coming here since I was a kid and I’m in my 40’s now and it just keeps getting better. Everything from the stuffed pizza to the pasta you honestly can’t go wrong. We have had family parties here and I pick up a stuffed pizza any time I get a craving. The owners are great people so friendly as well as the entire staff. Give it a try you will not be disappointed and can’t go wrong there!“
“Really enjoyed the food and service. Sadey was extremely accommodating, friendly and made for a really great experience for our family dinner. She was so knowledgeable about the menu and so kind to our kids. The deep dish is the best of all Chicago deep dish!“
“Stopped by for some dine in lunch today with my husband. We both had the Detroit style Dom that has hot honey and it was so delicious. We also ordered 10 wings and the wings were amazing, some of the best wings I’ve had in a long time. This place didn’t disappoint and we will be back for sure! Only think missing was a cold beer. Lol“
“We are very particular about our pizzas and Northshore Pizza was exceptional! We ordered the stuffed pizza and wouldn't change a thing. -The crust is flavorful with a slightly crisp bottom ....perfect platform for the generous amount of cheese on top. The tangy sauce is delicious and brings the pizza to life. Even the customer service is great! These guys know what there doing! Definitely our new go-to.“
“The food here is AMAZING! It’s an excellent place to try something new or familiar but with an elevated taste. Plus it’s Vegetarian friendly!Vegetarian options: Every burger on the menu is able to be substituted for either a mushroom burger OR an impossible burger. They’re both delicious.“
“Menu is not overly complicated, but everything is creative and delicious. Don't miss: buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, stuffed tater tots, cauliflower, quinoa bowl, and south by northwestern salad, the local beer menu, among other things. Prices are high, so be sure you have time to sit and enjoy the atmosphere while you're there.Vegetarian options: Buffalo cauliflower, roasted cauliflower, quinoa bowl, South by northwestern salad, Chile rellenos, plus moreKid-friendliness: $10 kids menu, but everything is yummy“
“My family and a couple of my sons hockey team members needed a quick food spot by the local Northbrook rink. Couple doors down from Pure Hockey too, bonus. Food was fantastic, lots of different options and had TVs to watch sports. Quick and easy. Menu was huge from Pizza, sandwiches/subs, salads, pasta and desserts. Staff was nice too. Would highly recommend.“
“Great little corner on Ashland and Farewell. They have some tables on the sidewalk. We love the pizza, the fried calamari and salads!Remember to order your ❤️ shaped pizza on Valentine's Day!Vegetarian options: Just ask your server. They are really accommodating.“
“We LOVE Union and eat here all the time. This week my brother, who has celiac, was visiting. They were so accommodating, and he said it's the best pizza he's had since he was diagnosed and that he'll be dreaming about coming back again. Thank you for helping a pizza lover be able to enjoy pizza again!“
“Had dinner here with my best friend. It was on St.Pattys weekend so the place was completely packed. The hostess may have been overwhelmed and not the friendliest, however our waitress was absolutely amazing. She gave great food recommendations and despite being super busy, she was on point with her service. Food and drinks were delicious. Will be planning girls night here soon, but maybe not on a holiday or major sports day.“
“I was actually amazed there were not more customers eating. There were just as many people at the bar as there were on the slot machines & just as many in the dining area. I think it's a perfect place for good food, gambling & drinks. I'm sure the place is great when they have bands perform. Definitely going back again.“
“Incredible food with very handsome cash register workers. 10/10 would go again! Growing up in Italy I can say they have the best Italian food I've had since moving to the Americas. Hopefully their business continues to thrive and become more and more recognized.“
