“So delicious we wrote this review! We tried a variety of things- potstickers, Yakisoba, kimbop, and some sushi rolls. Everything was fresh, very flavorful, with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. Server was knowledgeable, service was quick, prices were reasonable. We wish we lived closer to go more often but it’s worth the drive!“

“The food is amazing! Love the all you can eat setup where they bring you your broth, meat and seafood then you go to the buffet tables and get all the veggies, noodles, and sauces you want. This way you don't have to commit to a large quantity of just a few vegetables. I like it because I don't like mushrooms but my partner loves them so he can get a many as he wants and I can get extra lotus root instead. This is our new favorite place to get hotpot and we will definitely be back to try all the different broths, meats and seafood.“

“Really loved our experience at Kaido. The vibe is chill but upscale, and the interior is beautifully done. I especially appreciated how comfortable the chairs were at the sushi bar, it made a difference!

We ordered a bunch of different dishes, and everything was delicious. The hand rolls were a standout, super fresh fish and really well made. Some of the dishes had unique flavors you don’t usually find elsewhere, which was a nice surprise.

You can tell the chef/owner is very hands-on, and the sushi chefs were quick, our food came out fast and looked amazing. The service was also top-notch. The servers were super attentive, constantly checking in, refilling water, and clearing empty plates without us even asking. Everything just felt effortless on our end.

Also, random detail, we loved the plates they use. Just really thoughtfully done all around. Definitely planning to come back.“

“There was absolutely nothing that could have been better.
This is one of the best experiences aive had at a sushi place, period.
The staff greeted me with smiling faces, were attentive without being obtrusive, and genuinely seemed to care that I was satisfied throughout the meal.
The food? Probably the best I've had anywhere around Chicagoland. Not kidding; I felt compelled to write a review after, which isn't every day.
Great location only a minute or 2 off I-90, as well, so I will most certainly be back!

Edit: stopping back again another day, I was impressed at the amount of effort the waitress took trying to find something to suit me and my guest, who didn't have much experience with sushi.
Our meal was fantastic, and suited both of us well. Also had a great presentation, which I generally don't take much note of.

Parking: The lot is small, and it is easy to drive past. Not their fault, but be advised it may be difficult to park here at peak times.“

Vegetarian options: This is a japanese food dining place, so either it is tofu items, soups, vegetable rolls, boiled beans, friend vegetable or meat (salmon, chicken, pork etc.)So you can choose decently.

“The care the staff takes with every single one of my orders is always top notch. From the Miso soup, to their deluxe rolls… the flavor in every bite is delicious. Even when it’s a simple take out order, the chef still takes the time to make the platter look cared for and even today, he or she wrote a little picture on the lid of my miso soup container. First of all, I hope this house stays in Chicago for a long time!! I had braised cutlassfish and salted fish, and the braised cutlassfish was particularly delicious. The altang was delicious too! “Ordered carry-out from the Vernon Hills location and loved it! Fantastic quality ramen, flavorful broth and still hot after getting it home. Miso Ramen and Taiwan Ramen are fantastic, but beware that single pepper icon, because it’s no joke! (And I say this as someone who grew up eating spicy food 🙂) Delicious, but intense! I would LOVE to see a milder version of the Taiwan Ramen (or at least a way to adjust the heat, like the Spicy Miso), because the flavor was truly amazing and addictive.“

“Folks, this is the real deal. All the food was great. I'm pretty sure the chef is Japanese. I say so because they have authentic items like Nira Tama and Kampyou Maki (both fabulous, by the way) that you won't see on the menu at other places. They also had Iichiko (wheat shouchu (think vodka)), and they were happy to make me an oolong wari. Loved it!“

“Royce chocolate and cookies is located inside of mitsuwa along with several high end vendors and shops. Royce doesn't disappoint. Paris was extremely helpful and went over all of the offerings that Royce had. I ended up getting the variety pack because I couldn't make up mind. Great gifts for the adventurous tongue and even for someone with a sweet tooth. The have adorable pink gift bags to make it for a quick pick up. I absolutely recommend the fromage blanc chips, they are delicious and daring at the same time!“

“I really enjoyed my dinner at Tokio Sake. I ordered a volcano roll, and it was enough to
feed two people. The quality of the food was 5 stars! The presentation was artistic, and my server was attentive. The restaurant was very full on a Saturday night, which is a testament to the place.
