Exposed brick, chandeliers, and a plant wall surrounds you - a grateful reprieve from cookie cutter Starbucks decor. Coffee, matcha, and baked goods are top notch (haven't tried cocktails or charcuterie yet). A wonderful mix of professionals, college students, community organizers, and socially conscious suburban moms escaping the kids (I'm sure I'm missing wonderful others). Sometimes I'm not sure how I manage to keep living in the suburbs when the city is still home for me after 10 years in Elmhurst, but Brewpoint certainly makes it easier.“

“My family and I cannot get enough of Alisha's cakes. Her tres leches is the best ever. We typically get the Oreo tres leches for our birthdays now. Everyone asks for Alisha's cakes for their birthdays. The cake is dense and rich so we usually serve smaller slices (but people will go back for seconds).“

My friend and I had traditional breakfasts foods, he two eggs, sausages, hash browns and toast, me, eggs Benedict. Portions were generous. My friend said his sausages were homemade and tasty. The hollandaise on the Benedict was scrumptious. The hash browns were seasoned just right and a nice relief to so many places now serving bland “breakfast potatoes”.\nAll in as, a great food experience. We will be back and tell our friends.“

So many cafes are too small, too loud, or too inconvenient to get to/park. It's spacious and has lots of room between tables for privacy. Drink choices are creative. I had the turmeric latte and egg breakfast bowl and it was delicious, very filling and freshly made. It's not a super fast place though, so don't go if you're in a hurry.“

The server noticed they didn't each much of their sandwich and banana and brought them complimentary rice and beans which they ate a TON of (to my surprise). “After driving past Elijah's in the mornings for the last few months I finally decided to stop in and give it a try (you should always try to support local). I ordered a large Black Coffee with a shot of espresso, I even mentioned to the guy making my coffee that it was my first time here and he was polite and said Welcome. (When was the last time you heard someone say welcome?) The girl behind the counter asked if I wanted anything else and I asked If they made there Scones fresh and she said yes we bake daily. I bought a variety to bring to the gig for the crew this morning. My Coffee was made exactly the way I make it at home and the Scones were still warm and made me feel like I was on Arthur Avenue at Morrone's pastry in the Bronx waiting in line for them to come out of the oven fresh. I must give Elijah's Coffee 5 stars today and recommend it to everybody and I will now be a customer. “My parents and I were looking for a place eat in Northfield after driving an hour to pick up the ashes of our dog who passed two weeks ago from blood cancer. Found this place two minutes from the pet hospital located in an office building. Owner was super chill made our food fresh and was super generous. They had these cookies by the register I think the owners baked themselves they all looked really good we got one of each (pecan, cookies and cream, m&m, and this one with caramel on top) and the owner gave us two for free and chips with our meals and reheated my dad’s soup when asked (dad’s picky) to be super hot (dad was happy). We took our food to go and ate right outside the office building by this little fountain which I think is the way to go if the weather accommodates it. I got the chicken pesto panini I don’t even like pesto but I liked this panini the bread was crisp the cheese melty and the vegetables happy (not soggy). Honestly the cookies I enjoyed the most; cookies and cream was really good it had like these big chunks of white chocolate which were awesome but the best was the caramel one CRAZY GOOD definitely get one. Anyways I miss my dog love you Beowulf rest well now.“

Their standards far exceed the run of the mill standards you’ll find at typical gastro pubs. Bartenders Steven and Ira are attentive, personable, and will ensure your cocktail exceeds your expectations. If Jordyn is bringing your food to your table you can be sure you will have everything you need. She is one of the most hardworking individuals I have had the pleasure of meeting and her work ethic will leave you astounded.
