“I ordered the 6oz sirloin it was cooked great but the quality of the meat wasn't good it was super chewy like it was glued together took 2 bites and was done with it the broccoli was cold. Over all the bread and salad was the only thing good.“

“Thank you for the best lunch..well worth coming to from the city. Bob and Chip and the rest of the staff were so friendly and kind...free samples to boot. My sister and I had the Tri Tip, Brisket, and I brought home a Reuben for later. Everything was mouth watering and delicious...make the trip. You will not be disappointed. We will be back to try more. oh yeah and the lemonade was great too..just saying.“

“First, the food is DELICIOUS! They have a lot more flavors of chicken available than some other K.F.C. restaurants. The tteokbokki offers more flavors & add in’s as well. You can tell the company really cares about their food quality and customer satisfaction-eg they have steam vents built into the containers and the keep your to-go order propped slightly open until you pick up your order all so that your chicken remains crispy, rather than getting soggy waiting in a closed container! The staff are always very polite & conscientious. LOVE THIS PLACE!“

“My friend and I stopped in at Firewater BBQ in Elmhurst on Thursday Dec. 1st for the "Granny's Lunch Box Special" which is available daily from 11AM-2PM. This was my second visit and my friend's first at Firewater. We both ordered the Angus beef brisket sandwich with a side of 3 cheese Mac & Cheese and a soda. The brisket (smoked for 22 hrs) is amazingly tender and flavorful. It was piled high on a toasted brioche bun and is served with your choice of sweet or spicy BBQ sauce or both if you like. The Mac & Cheese is sooo silky-smooth and creamy and compliments the brisket quite well. There are complimentary pickled jalapeños and sweet & spicy pickles available as well. My friend was so impressed by this amazing brisket that he placed another exact order to go to bring home. The cashier who also took our order was very friendly and polite. We told one of the chefs, Shawn, (pictured) that we really enjoyed the brisket and complimented his skills. My friend and I will both be returning to Firewater BBQ and we'll definitely be letting our family and friends know about this wonderful BBQ spot.“

“My daughter and I traveled from DC to Chicago for a cheerleading competition. We decided to try Porky's... I am not making this up, hands down the best BBQ I've had in years. The combo sandwich with brisket and pork, is phenomenal. The Porkys Beans with brisket, left me speechless. Outstanding customer service to go along with the great taste. Honestly wish I lived in the area, so I could eat here more often.“

Wife originally wanted the mother signature hanjeongalk which include braised short rib, garlic buttered abalone and grilled short rib for $119 but I was like why don’t don’t we pay $20 more get the mother queen set include wagyu ribeye, marinated short rib and wagyu beef brisket LOL
It was during lunch other on a Saturday, kinda slow for a weekend but the server was attentive and welcoming
the wagyu ribeye, short rib and wagyu beef did NOT disappoint!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are coming back for the mother KING set!!!!!!!!!!!!!“

“A small, korean BBQ restaurant in a strip mall on Mt Prospect. We were greeting right away and sat at your table. The tables are separated and private from others. The servers was attentive and took our order quickly. Bottled water is sevred with every meal. We ordered the meat and seafood combo ( steak, chicken, shrimp, and squid) which it comes with a lot of meat. You get a dumping soup that was very filling. The meat is very well seasoned and cooks nicely on the grill. The side dishs were very good. I didnwish they had korean potatoe salad as one of the sode doshes. At the end they also give you ice cream bars. The food and service were amazing. The only negative thing I can say is that it does get smokey inside the restaurant. I definitely recommend coming here and will visit again myself.“

“Not only have I loved Hawthornes from when I was a kid growing up in West Chicago! It was the PERFECT place to have my wedding. Lou, Heidi and Kelly did fantastic and helped make my dream come alive! Every question I had they answered and were able to accommodate so much! Heidi was in CONSTANT communication with me and was able to give advice and help me through the whole process. Her suggestions were so helpful and she helped during the ceremony and reception. I could not have done it without them. This place treats you like family and has amazing service! When my husband and I went to pick up our things the next morning we were planning on taking 2 trips and Lou let us borrow his truck that is how amazing and friendly they are! WE LOVE YOU HAWTHORNES! Thanks for making our wedding the best day of our lives(: not to mention EVERY guest couldn’t stop talking about how fun the venue was and there was something for everyone to do, wiffleball, volleyball, giant beer pong, bags, dancing, and more! Everyone was able to have fun the whole time!“

“A mix of a rotisserie chicken place and a Mexican restaurant. Got a whole chicken and sides. The chicken had very good flavor and smoke. It was a little dry as if it was kept in the heating box for a while or just overcooked a bit. The sides were not memorable. I’d go back again and just skip the sides. The Mexican food looked good.“

“My first visit to Char Kabobs was excellent! I wasn’t sure what to order because I’m not (yet!) super familiar with the cuisine. The chef? recommended the Chicken Boti wrap and it was delicious! I’d asked for it spicy and it had the perfect amount of heat for me. Freshly prepared, flavorful tender chicken, lots of onions, just the right amount of lettuce and delicious sauce all wrapped up in fresh flat bread. I will definitely be back to try more items! Highly recommend!!“

“terrible food. cuts of steak were that bad cuts ; nothing but fat and the food was horrible ..either is was bland or I was coughing from the amount of overspice it was given. the manager couldn't even come and talk to us , and had the server come apologize, and were still charged the full amount regardless of THEIR mistakes..the server though, she was great to us, bless her heart. they do not serve drinksneither, fyi. if youre looking for a date night out, this is not it.“

“Came here for breakfast while visiting Chicago, and the food did not disappoint. We ordered the halwa puri and the omelette with paratha — both were delicious and served in generous portions. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for authentic Karachi-style nashta!“

“from out of town and stopped on a whim. Def a good idea! Burgers were hand pressed, fresh cut fries and could tell oil was fresh so fries were excellent, shake had chocolate syrup drizzled on inside if glass- nice touch! will def stop again if in area.“
