“Michelin Star Indian inspired vegan or vegetarian (or meat) tasting menu, in Chicago! If you don't know what a tasting menu is, it is where you have a bunch of small courses and spend a long time. It is not cheap, or fast. Typically you'll see interesting ingredients and some cutting edge techniques. I would have appreciated more of an explanation about the courses, both about ingredients and techniques from the servers, I think it heightens the meal and this isn't eating out as part of an evening, this is dinner as THE EVENT. Some tasting menus I've had were like 12-14 courses, this one was about half that, although I haven't done very many tasting menus. For us it is for a very special occasion, but expect to spend a couple of hours and at least a couple hundred dollars (before tip) per person. We went with the vegetarian menu with the wine pairing (not the fancy wine pairing) and went for the two plus ups. I haven't experienced a tasting menu with plus ups (aka an extra course for an additional price) but I'm no expert. Consistent with other tasting menus, some things were mind blowingly awesome and I wanted more and some things... well... no regrets. The two plus ups were probably the standouts, so I'm glad we did them but that did add $ to the meal. I don't know if we set the pace wrong, but we were often still finishing the wine from one course when the next course would arrive, which led to us drinking faster than normal, and feeling it. I don't know if this is because we had an early seating and they wanted to make sure our table was free, or maybe it was on us. So my advice is to not let yourself feel rushed. Would I do it again, yes. Soon, no. Pretty sure the bill was over $600 for two people. For my budget this is like a once every other year kind of meal. Overall not a revelation, but a very good meal and great experience.“

“Atelier in Lincoln Square is a gem. Opted for the 5-course tasting menu on a weeknight—every dish was a creative hit, especially the Thai peanut rutabaga noodles and carrot gnocchi. The intimate setting felt like dining in a friend's cozy kitchen. Service was warm and knowledgeable, making the experience even better. Spent around $150 with a glass of wine. Can't wait to return for the full 12-course menu.“

“I've eaten at a lot of Capital Grille's across the US, last night in Chicago was the BEST server I've encountered. Her name was Olivia, and from the moment of our arrival she was engaging and attentive - highly professional and just very charming. On our way out I mentioned this to the restaurant's operation manager Adam Margolies, who himself was hustling around all night in the front of the house taking care of guests . Bravo guys, well done! Now just start carrying Monkey 47 gin to elevate your martinis to perfect. Thanks - great experience!“

“I did not know what to expect when I found out we were going to a restaurant on this level for our anniversary. I was apprehensive about what was going to be served to us.
This place is amazing! Our 3 hour food extravaganza had us eating things I've never heard of, and we were overwhelmed by the presentation and overall experience.
The icing on the cake was having one of the top chefs in the WORLD serving our dessert and then greeting us in the kitchen where we had a discussion about food, etc.
It was one OMG moment after another. The staff is well versed in making the experience one to remember.
It is quite pricy (another reason I never figured I would ever go there), but it is so worth it.
It was one night we will never forget.“

“Initially we had a few issues. The room wasn’t ready and the kids were fussy and tired but the hotel gave us free deserts in the restaurant Adorn. They were amazing. The customer service was excellent. We finally got to our beautiful room with spectacular views and were very happy but the kids stuff that we requested wasn’t there. They again made up for it and went over and beyond. The kids loved getting an ice cream party, robes and treats. Four Seasons is an outstanding hotel. We will definitely be back. We’ve been home for 2 days and the kids already want to go back!“

Out of this world! Perfectly cooked, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and bursting with flavor. You can tell they really know what they’re doing back there.

The vibe in this place is on point—classy but not stuffy, and the staff? Totally on it. They made us feel like VIPs the whole night. Every dish we tried was a home run, and the portions were seriously generous. Plus, the cocktails were killer, like, we’re talking next-level good.

“The first thing I noticed was how engaging the hostess was. We were seated upstairs and we loved the feel of privacy there. Our server was Blake a conscientious young man. I informed him that this was our first visit and he walked us through the menu and specials. We order various cuts of steak and one chicken meal. The sides were Brussels spouts, Lobster Mac and cheese and broccoli. The drinks were apple martini and lemon drops both served on dry ice and was quite the presentation! Every entree was delicious and served with the perfect temperature. We don’t live in the city of Chicago so driving down for over an hour to Mastro’s was worth it!“
