He has egg and peanut allergies and Kelsey went above and beyond to ensure the food we ordered didn’t have these allergens. The staff was very accommodating and the food was delicious. “We come here fairly often, for the best burgers (our opinion) in the Fox Valley. And if you like onion rings, I recommend trying the onion strings as a side but ask for them fried just a bit more.
Now yesterday we stopped in on a whim - middle of the afternoon on a Sunday! And I decided I was not going to get my usual go-to burger or catfish.
I now have a new problem because I have a new favorite item from Geneva Ale House! The Ribeye Steak Sandwich is absolutely fantastic! Everything about it was phenomenal and I have not stopped thinking about it, seriously!“

“When I used to live in West Chicago a couple of years ago, my fiancé now husband and I used to go there all the time and his Uncle Mike. I recommend this place 100%, the drinks are good, the bartenders are friendly, and the Viper Burger was our favorite. Alan is an awesome guy with a great sense of humor. The atmosphere is chill, welcoming and you'll have a great time. When I say to stop by The Bunker, I mean it lol 😃. Whenever we are in town again, we are definitely going to try stopping by. 😌✨“

However, was told no dogs allowed and had to bring mine home even though I see them all the time up there in the summer (outside) and there are 4 dogs outside now. I can see not allowing them in the wooden patio but on the grass? Then to pick and choose who can or can’t? Despite this, I would recommend and have.“

“Not only have I loved Hawthornes from when I was a kid growing up in West Chicago! It was the PERFECT place to have my wedding. Lou, Heidi and Kelly did fantastic and helped make my dream come alive! Every question I had they answered and were able to accommodate so much! Heidi was in CONSTANT communication with me and was able to give advice and help me through the whole process. Her suggestions were so helpful and she helped during the ceremony and reception. I could not have done it without them. This place treats you like family and has amazing service! When my husband and I went to pick up our things the next morning we were planning on taking 2 trips and Lou let us borrow his truck that is how amazing and friendly they are! WE LOVE YOU HAWTHORNES! Thanks for making our wedding the best day of our lives(: not to mention EVERY guest couldn’t stop talking about how fun the venue was and there was something for everyone to do, wiffleball, volleyball, giant beer pong, bags, dancing, and more! “I just flew into ohare from Europe, and this place was the first meal I had back home. And how lovely it was! The chimichurri bowl was absolutely DELECTABLE and so was the steak melt! Our waitress was incredibly sweet, she made us feel so welcome!“

“I can’t share my experience there but I ordered off of uber eats and the food is amazing! The price first had me sketchy thinking it wasn’t going to be good lol because how is it this cheap and the quality is better than a place I would pay over 25$ for. The ribeye steak sandwich is amazing cooked to perfection. The fries and cheese were so good and so was the cheesecake! I definitely am going to take the kids out here one day. My food was piping hot and amazing! Definitely going to be a returning customer 100000/10 I will be back🫶“
