The food—wonderful. I work nearby and it’s enthralling this place is within walking distance to pick up one their savory hotdogs or fist-full burgers.
It’s clean.
It’s efficient.
It’s delicious.
Most notably the burgers are my personal favorite because of the smoke flavor I’m very bite—10/10–would recommend.
And the customer service is kind and friendly. They offer any deals if you’d want any and they make nothing a hassle. It’s all straightforward and it makes sense.
Come down here if you’re looking for simplicity and eat like you’ve never had food before!“

No other place like this place down here in Dolton or near NWI makes it like this place!
I hate hotdogs but beef polish is a different story!

4-6 pm beef polish is cheaper.
Also for every order you get free FRIES.
Also if the white polish guys are there they definitely taste much better and I could tell because I’ve been here so many times. When I’m in Chicago I go to Jim’s Original. When I’m down here I only go to JJ Sausage.“

“Came here with my husband for a good burger and I just wanted to compliment the young lady at the register. Kennedy she was so kind ringing us up for our order, coming from a restaurant background couldn’t help but notice the team effort. When there were no more customers at the counter, she put gloves on and offered her help to her team. Jumping right in to help, that’s what you call team work.“

When I came inside, there were 3 people ahead of me, and all 3 of them said the samething. He's going such a great job. Hopefully the owner, does the right thing and give him a raise for being a dependable,hard worker and has great customer service😊😊.“

“I had a great experience. When I came to pick up my mobile order I was greeted by everyone in the store, literally. I had the opportunity to get my fountain drink as I waited and I only waited about 5 mins. My order was hot and fresh. The store was also very clean. Good work team!“

“In the area and I needed something to eat. So I stopped in Andy's, got the grilled chicken sandwich and French fries. Sandwich was delicious, perfectly cooked, and the fries were the skinny shoestring ones, my favorite!

“Grabbed a Maxwell Street Polish for lunch, grilled onions and mustard piled on, that signature snap when you bite into the casing. No tomato or pickle nonsense, just the classic stripped down version and it works so well that way. Fries on the side were solid too, nothing fancy but did the job for a quick bite. Counter service, no real seating, mostly grab it and go. True Chicago staple, the kind of spot that doesn't need to try hard because the sandwich speaks for itself.“

“My wife and I love going to portillos, tonight we went there and the place was in terrible disarray! Filthy floors bathroom and the garbage cans were all overflowing with everything from beverages to food and ketchup all over the place. this is so hard to believe that the place has been open a little longer than 1 year and looks like that. stay away go to merrillville location because they actually do keep it super clean.“

“Saturday evening, July 1, approximately 7:45...witnessed a nasty exchange between an older man and what turned out to be the manager (?) The manager talked down and berated customer when he wanted to state a complaint: talked over him, accused him of yelling ( he wasn't) & swearing (nope) with a very condescending attitude. We just left, service was that slow. The dining area was dirty, too, just not up to Portillos standards. We won't be back.“

I got a Chicago dog and a polish. The polish was fine. BF liked it. The fries were shoe string, very yummy! The hotdog! Why was my bun soggy and the relish hid the dog. Other than that, it was an alright experience. But the price- CANNOT BEAT IT“
