I would definitely come back and request her! She recommended the wings with the dry rub and they were sooo delicious!! Nachos were good too!!“

“Me and my boyfriend went to Finleys for the 1st time last Friday evening. REALLY enjoyed the place! Nice atmosphere, cozy, friendly. We sat at the bar and the bartender Ben, took really good care of us. I told him what kind of wine I liked, semi sweet but not too sweet. He recommended the Centori Moscato, gave me a little sampling and bingo, that was it. It was really good. I also had an order of homemade cheese curds, which were fabulous. And I also loved the dipping sauce served with them. The place was packed but Ben was very attentive to everyone there, and never had to wait long for a refill, even though he had a lot that he was attending to. I had a great time and everyone should go check this place out. I’ll be back for sure.“

“Been coming to Cook’s since I worked across the street at camp Lincoln years upon years ago. Went back today for the first time in several years. The quality, freshness, quick, and friendly service was EXACTLY how I remember. Their whole grain bread is to die for. I don’t get to this side of town as often as I used to, but it is absolutely worth stopping in. Definitely one of Springfield’s hidden gems!“

“Owners are nice but when they first opened I was hired as a busser and after a couple of weeks they said they didn’t have enough business so they would call me when they needed me and they never did then when I went to pick up my last check they acted like I never worked there….. they could have just properly fired me instead of acting like I didn’t exist.“

“I had a host of family come visit from out of town. I ordered 50 piece wings from California Kitchen, it came with fries and 2 cans of pop. I was told 15 minutes for pick up and did not check the food prior to leaving. The chicken was fried very hard and wasn't good. I didn't call until the next morning and spoke to a manager. The manager was pleasant and very understanding. I was able to bring back the chicken from the previous day and recieved a full new 50 piece meal for my visiting family. He even asked if I wanted to keep the order that was messed up. Amazing customer service and the food was really good. I would always order from them, they really know how to treat their customers!! The new location is great too!.“

“My pregnant fiancé was craving fried pickles & since they are a 5 min drive away from us we always choose silver 7s not only the good food but the welcoming atmosphere it was 3 mins until kitchen closed & we informed the waitress we can go find something else we didn’t want to be a bother she didn’t let us leave without a meal & was very reassuring that it was no big deal ! “As a small business owner, I love trying new local spots — and Aunt Lou’s absolutely did not disappoint. It was so delicious and had that sweet nostalgia of the days when you’d buy a plate from a friend and sit around the table way too long. We ordered the fried chicken breast dinners with cabbage, mashed potatoes & brown gravy, plus red beans and rice with cornbread on the side. We also tried the fried deviled eggs (these SURPRISED us — and we immediately wished we’d ordered more!) and the Chicago-style wings — breaded, tossed, all flats. So freakin’ good. We’ll definitely be back. If you’ve been looking for your next local comfort and soul food fix, this is the place!“

The egg rolls we had as an appetizer were just as impressive, packed with flavor and perfectly cooked. What really stood out, though, was the service. Victoria Hall was fantastic. Even though I’m not a wine drinker, she took the time to explain the wines and menu in a way that didn’t feel overwhelming. Her recommendations were spot-on and really helped make the whole experience top-notch. If you’re in the area, I can’t recommend this place enough. Great food, great atmosphere, and amazing service—especially if you’re lucky enough to have Victoria as your server.“
