I got the RHR double cheeseburger and a hotdog. All meals come with fries which means I got double fries. So much delicious food for under $15. And the smashburgers they have here are some of the best burgers in all of Chicago despite being under $10.

It's not all sunshines and rainbows though. There is practically no service here since it's like a fast-food place. They are cash only which can be annoying because I don't carry around a lot of cash. And if you decide to eat outside, you might want to get earplugs because it's right under the train tracks so it gets VERY LOUD.

But despite all these problems, the food is just too good to pass on. Besides, some of these factors give RHR its charm. There's just something about eating a greasy burger under grimy traintracks hearing the roar of the train go by as everything shakes under you.

There are better places. Hell, portillo's is significantly better.

We got the Tahini Ranch Fried Chicken Sandwich, the Kefta Burger, and the Stuffed Falafel; not a dud in the bunch. The toppings and condiments that some on the burger and sandwich made basic diner food such a delight without feeling over the top. The real stand out was the stuffed falafel. I never thought of having a filling in a falafel, and the sweetness of the caramelized onions was such a delicious complexity to a classic Middle Eastern dish. “I've been meaning to try Small Cheval for years, since I'm always passing by their Wicker Park location. I finally decided to try them, as cheeseburgers are my favorite food. I gotta say, it was fantastic. I got the signature double cheeseburger, with fries with white cheese sauce on the side and a cookies and cream milkshake. The cheeseburger I noticed was pink in the middle, so they cooked it medium rare. I highly suggest the cashiers ask customers how they want their burger cooked. I assumed it would be cooked well done to minimize possible ingestion issues, as some people's digestive systems might not take medium rare meat well, but maybe that's on me for not having foresight. Nevertheless, it tasted great. The fries were great as well with a satisfying crisp and a seasoned salt taste. The milkshake was phenomenal. You can actually taste and eat the chocolate chips and the cookie as you're drinking the milkshake. Pleasant vibes from the cashiers. Buzzer service for when your food is ready. Spacious outside patio with a nice inner city feel. Some baby birds was chilling at my table with me. I knew they wanted some food so I shared some fries with them. They were cool. The inside dining area is a little small for my standards, but that's not a big deal. 5/5. Great place. I gotta watch my dairy intake here though. Whew that was a lot ?“

“Its been decades since I had a breaded steak sandwich. To give you perspective, last time I had a breaded steak sandwich was in early 1990s when there was a Ricobenes on Lake Street in The Loop, at street level, downstairs from a Nevada Bob’s. If you know about this, then you are Gen X!!

This place was recommended by a close friend and it was fantastic!!! It’s a solid 4.6⭐️s!!

From what I recall, this breaded steak sandwich is just about as tasty as I have had since Ricobenes. Tony’s is excellent and messy as I have expected. Its very filling and well worth the price.

Also tried their italian beef, which was very good indeed. Balanced spices and saltiness was all there!!! But I do have my favorites that I lean on when I really need a fixin!!! But this was very good nonetheless.

This neighborhood joint is small and has limited seating, but the friendly staff made the dine-in meal a pleasant experience, albeit a bit confined. Most patrons order take-away. Will try to make it out again next time I am in the Midway area.“
