“We held my father’s Celebration of Life at Fireside Grille, and I can’t say enough good things about our experience. When the manager, Zach, learned the reason for our gathering, he immediately went out of his way to make it possible even though the private room were already reserved. The entire team was wonderful to work with, the food was absolutely amazing, and everyone kept commenting on how delicious everything was. Our server, Lupe, was superb as always as well as the rest of the staff. Everyone was attentive, kind, and professional. I highly recommend Fireside Grille for any celebration or special occasion. They truly went above and beyond for our family.“

“The 1st hour was terrific. We were celebrating our anniversary. Then a very loud group of four were seated right behind us. They obviously had been in the bar before coming to dinner. The remainder of our time was spent in silence since we couldn't hear each other. No fault of the restaurant or staff. Just self absorbed rude customers.“

“We walked in off the street, didn't expect much but we were absolutely blown away by the environment, the service and the layout of the establishment. The Philly cheesesteak sandwich with au jus and the breaded chicken tenders blew our mind. Our bartender was Ashley, she gave us impeccable service engaging and even when she wasn't there, every other bartender was very engaging and attentive. I don't know why this place is not packed at all times. I've reviewed hundreds of places around the world and this is one of my favorites.“

“I play for pool league out of this location, so I have to be here, but the tater tots are really what keeps me coming back! They are the best around, if you ask for them extra crispy they are very accommodating and do it with no issue! I’ve slowly started to explore the menu because you can never miss with the tots! If you’re a potato enthusiast, I highly recommend checking this place out! You’ll want to eat every last one and maybe ask for more!“

“The staff have been really rude to me ever since I pointed out that my tab was wrong and I was overcharged. I wasn't upset about the double charges, I just wanted them corrected. I've barely been waited on since then it seems. I tried to step in a help once when a patron had been over served. It wasn't welcomed at all. I was given the same look as I get when I walk up to the bar to get a drink. Too bad, it's really close to home to me. I haven't been in over a year and have no plans on returning.“

“We went here for a Friday night fish fry. We did carry out but they are open to the public. Fried cod, baked potato and coleslaw. Myhusband liked the fish alot but said it needed a little lemon or something to spice it up. I had fried shrimp which were very large with a baked potato and coleslaw. The coleslaw was not that great, but we enjoyed the rest of the meal alot. I would recommend this place for a good inexpensive fish fry.“

“Stopped in with a friend after a metra ride. Hung out at this establishment while we waited for my phone to charge up and for Uber to come. Typical mixed bar of locals and commuters. Sports oriented. Did not check out the menu. We just ordered a beverage. Wait staff was kind, cheerful, and attentive. They have a nice patio as well. A great place to relax as you wait for a train or a great place to unwind after a day downtown and long train ride.“

“Poor service and horrible beer. I ordered a brew dog hazy IPA and the waitress brought me some kind of red ale which is clearly not a hazy IPA. See attachment for what the beer should look like and what they brought me. Waitress does nothing to remediate the situation. Never seen such a poorly run business. Staff have bad attitudes and beer was definitely not right. Maybe it was spoiled or they substituted a cheaper product. Do not go here.“

Best kept secret around. The burgers are the real deal Not those froze patty’s you might find at your local grocery store. The fry’s are hot and crispy and the beer is super cold. What also sets this gem apart is the extremely friendly service we get from the waitress Dafina. She’s the bomb! Always greets you with a happy and friendly demeanor. The staff is always smiling and attentive to what we need.
Hearing the change to a breakfast place made me laugh. How unoriginal can you get? Those are a dime a dozen and none truly last long in the restaurant world. Why, it’s hard to get original with breakfast offerings. The biggest piece for success is the people. They are the main reason we would go to there.
It’s a business decision, but I don’t feel a wise one. Also, the timing couldn’t be worse. Don’t tell me you didn’t know this was happening. Have a heart for your people around the holidays!“
