“We had the best dining experience last night! From the valet, to our server, Aziel, the wait staff, and the amazing food and drinks!!! Everyone was so friendly and really seemed to enjoy what they do. We will definitely be back!!!“

“This place is everything you want out of a bar/nightclub/ restaurant/. Only thing it's missing is a roller coaster and some video games. Na..fr.. it don't need video games it's bussing as soon as you get in there. Get there early. Only 40 cars can fit in parking lot“

“The ambiance was ok, depending on the crowd you are looking for. The staff/servers/mixologist were amazing! Even security was nice. The menu was very limited for the time we went. The fish dinner was $17, and it was one catfish fillet cut in half. The rest of the to go container was filled with fries. ?? I would not recommend the fish. The chicken was good. The jerk nachos could have been executed better (the chips looked like Doritos), yet the jerk was good. The drinks were normal, and the bottle service was above and beyond. They have hookah, and the host/hostess for that service was very attentive. It was an overall good experience. I will go back, maybe check out different days and / or crowds.“

“Went there today for a carryout..first time there...I ordered wings and a waffle....simple enough. Only two tables occupied waiting for food. I sat there 20 min..I inquired about my order I was told they would check on it. The young lady continued to wait on tables. A few minutes later told me it wasn't ready yet. Another 15 "dude" walk up to enter another order he said let him check. He went toward the back said something and proceeded to a table for drinks. Few minutes later he returns said it wasn't ready. At this point I had reached the 45 min mark and politely asked for a refund. "Dude" and a lady who I presumed was a manager were very apologetic and insisted that I take the food after the mix up was corrected AND accomodated me with a refund as well. Dude said he wanted to make sure I was happy wanted to take care of me. Let me say that was the best decision to accept their offer for the food! It was abosolutely delicious!! I gave them three stars because of the delay....(I was suppose to be at the hospital visiting my mother.) I will return due to the deliciousness....however I will remember to phone first. UPDATE: Went there 9/12/2024 for brunch for my birthday OMG I fell in love all over again! I had the wings and Hennessy waffle...Chile I have thought of nothing else but that meal!!! Wings were crispy fresh and delicious waffle was hot and fluffy and that sauce was banging!! It was sooo good I am going back today. Mouth is watering right now!“

“Places for GOOD genuine southern or Cajun style cooking are becoming rarer around the Chicago area. Dixie Kitchen fits the bill, top to bottom. If I ever feel like Soul Food and cooking at home isn't the order of the day... This place is on my list of go toos.“

“Called and placed in order at 11:50 someone told me that my order will be ready in 10 minutes get there and 12:05 the manager says the kitchen doesn't open until 12:00 My food wasn't ready I never received my order. Terrible service and rude people“

“This is a hidden gem! I can say I love the ambiance of the restaurant. For all the “ vegetarians” “pescatarians” this is a go to! I did enjoy their vegan buffalo chicken egg rolls and jerk salmon egg rolls were “muah”. The creole vegan chicken omg tastes just like chicken. As for the sides the jambalaya was “ok” Caesar salad could have been better in taste and presentation. I did have the house sangria which was good. Mashed potatoes were a bit salty and could have been better with taste and presentation. Service was “ok” but the time of the food being prepared was a 100% I will definitely order take out or go back I give them a 4 out 5. Just keep in mind the space is really small but great atmosphere!!“
