“Excellent food in a casual, friendly environment. Home-style cooking is top-of-the-line and Sarah is the perfect hostess!! An exceptional find in a charming town!”
“Any time we are out of Princeton and talking booze with friends, I end up talking about "our bar" - Barrel Society is that kind of place. The friendliest people, incredible selection of whiskey and beer. It's worth a drive to come hang out here.”
“The owner is very approachable and friendly. The foods were really good. Definitely will come back again and try other filipino foods! Thanks Maricel!Kid-friendliness: They have high-chairs for kids!”
“Amazing! The salads are amazing with homemade dressings and fresh iceberg dressings. We love the fried shrimp as it's hand dipped huge shrimp - not pre-breaded ! Awesome place !!!!”
“When my family travels to Princeton, IL, this is the place for an awesome cup of coffee. I love this place. They are always friendly, and they have a great selection of flavors. So, yeah we start our day going to Bean Buzz coffee!Bon appetit!!”
“We are fairly new to town and were so happy to discover Sislers! The ice cream and waffle bowls always taste fresh, and the service is always fast and friendly. We haven't had a flavor that we didn't like yet!”
“This is our go-to place when we want to grab a beer and do some gaming or darts. Really laid back, comfortable environment. Everyone is really friendly, there's good music playing, and it's always clean. Pretty quiet and mellow most of the time.”
“A little bit outdated but the food made up for the atmosphere. The salad bar is a bit below average but it's an option you don't have to get. I had fried chicken with a baked potato and it was very good. My husband had the ravs with me at sauce and he really liked it. We would go again.”
“We have never been to Princeton before and so glad we discovered this small town and this brewery. They have been opened for about 4 months. It is owned by three friends from the area. It has plenty of indoor seating at the bar or at tables and a small outdoor area. The brewery is housed in an old historic building , and the exposed brick provides a glimpse of history. They did not have any growlers or cans to purchase yet, but they are working on it. They also do not have a website yet. They do not have any ciders, my usual go to drink, so I tried two of the seltzers, Kiwi Strawberry and Pricky Pear Guava. My husband tried the Daydream - a Mango Pineapple Wheat and the Harvest Moon. Our servers , (one was training and it was her first day) were so nice and surprised and excited this was our first time in Princeton. We will definitely return when we are at Woodhaven Lakes, a short 30 min drive.”
“This place is amazing. Everyone was so nice to us. Great atmosphere, friendly people. Dave, one of the owners happened to live 3 miles from me in Tennessee a few years ago. Crazy the people we meet. Mary, our bartender was so attentive & on top of everything. Would highly recommend this place for some low key down time. And you can get a koozie, T-shirt or sweatshirt. Can’t wait to come back!”
“Everything was really good when my wife and I went here. The food was good, all the staff members were excellent and the waitress we had was outstanding! She really brightened our day.”
“First off, how cool is it that this cafe is adjoining a public library? What a great idea. Add to that that it’s open a few hrs before the library, a quiet chill space, and the espresso drinks are actually great, and this place is awesome. The chai was perfectly spicy and not too sweet. The woman at the counter couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Amazingly, they even make their own in house cookies—which are delicious. We had a warm chocolate chip one. One of our most surprisingly satisfying pit stops on a long road trip.”
“This place is hands down the best food I’ve ever had in my life. It is a little pricey but worth every cent, plus their portions are huge! My husband and I order here at LEAST once a week. I’d eat it every single day if I could. 10/10 recommend this place to anyone and everyone.”
“Love the thin crust pizza cut into squares. Left over pizza reheats perfectly in toaster oven. We always get the pizza and salad combo. Love the French dressing. Service is always great and friendly.”
“Food was great! Enjoyed the atmosphere. Wish there were more regular seating as the high tables and bar stools are not comfortable due to height. Service was very friendly; however, had to wait too long for order to be taken.”
“Great service delicious sandwich just how I wanted it! No buts about it, only goodness!! Nice clean atmosphere good location definitely a good example of a perfect Jimmy Johns !!”
“I highly recommend this place. The people here are honest and hard working.Everything is fresh and they have the BEST customer service from any fast food chain, hands down the best!! And the food is delicious!!! Did I mention fresh?!Stop by and tell them Tony sent you!Parking: Plenty of open parking. Please park in your own lane.Thank you”
“Holy sh*t this place is a good time. Drinks are reasonably priced, Zach is a great bartender and the regulars were very welcoming to the new guy from Cincinnati. This is my new home bar.”
“OMGosh....we had the BEST time here! Met some of the coolest people from the area, shared a lot of laughs and had some great drinks & pizza! Would definitely love to go back if ever in the area!!”
“My first time dining here and it was for brunch. This is a cute little place that looks like it used to be a house renovated into a restaurant. There's a small gift shop in the entrance. I chose a small Caesar salad that came with a piece of garlic toast. It was ok nothing special for $7, so I'd probably passon it. I also got the soup of the day which was cream of mushroom, and it was delicious. I would recommend if it was offered again. My SO got the Red Rooster scramble. It didn't look overly appealing but he said it was good. He ordered a Cosmo, and I tried it and it was super good! The server was friendly, and the atmosphere here is cute. I remember the coffee was hot and fresh too. Overall, a good experience, and I would give it another try for breakfast, lunch or dinner if I'm ever in the Princeton area again.Vegetarian options: Salads, side dishes, soupParking: Free parking lot”
“Have eaten here for over 15 years and the quality has never faltered. It's Affordable, the portions are MORE than fair, and the food comes out quickly every time. The lunch deals are especially good, as they include all-you-can-eat soup while you wait for your food, and the portions are still very large.”
“Enjoy a 50s/60s western movie while chowing down on some seriously good food. A must is the S.O.B burger or ribs! Haven't found anything we haven't liked.Kid-friendliness: Chicken tenders, fries and chocolate pudding with an ice tea is a staple among our grandkids.”
“Great place 2 party. Was not told you need cash for event. Bartender, smaller one needs to b nicer, tips are dependant on that for me!! I gave her $1 but would have given her $10 if she was nicer.”
“I'd heard about enhanced teas at my gym, so I went with my two daughters for an afternoon treat. There was something for all of us, and the drinks are SO FUN. The owner was very helpful in walking us through the options. Really cute decor. Looking forward to another visit next time we're in town.Kid-friendliness: Healthy creamy blended drinks and decaf teas in lots of flavors.”
“One of my fav locations for quality Pizza. Do not leave if it's busy, it is worth it. I'll return friends next time. The bill was decent. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I loved to visit.”
“13 Year Customer. Love this family owned traditional Mexican restaurant. Kind, attentive, flavorful, excellent atmosphere, they'll even serve more traditional dishes if asked. A model for introducing traditional Mexican dishes to a rural community. RECOMMENDED.”
“The best DQ that I have ever been too. I absolutely love their buffalo chicken snack wraps and moolattes. Quality food and ice cream with awesome owners. Locally, family owned place that truly cares about the food and service they provide.”
“Great place to grab a quick drink or stay for awhile! Very friendly environment with great bartenders. They have quite the selection of drinks. Don’t forget to follow them on Facebook to stay in touch with all of the events on the weekends!”
“We finally made it over from Peru to try and we were not disappointed! We ordered the garlic nuggets- the best ones we have had in the area. We also had boneless hot wings, chicken strips, old barrel pizza, and crab rangoon pizza. Everything was absolutely delicious. Best and most unique variety of specialty pizzas in the area, too. The chicken in the wings and strips was extremely tender and juicy and had a perfect coating. We will absolutely be back again to keep trying more off the menu. The only thing that could improve is if you move to Peru ?”
“Was a first time visitor to Kelly's. Stopped in for lunch, while we were driving through town. Nice local bar, with a limited Bar menu. Had great service, great drinks, and good food. Very friendly atmosphere. I had the pork tenderloin and fries, my guest had the mushroom burger and fries. Both sandwiches were delicious. Will definitely stop again when in the area.”
