“There is nothing about this place I don't recommend. The meads are amazing, their Cocktail Master is amazing at coming up with unusual combinations, and is great fun to talk to. The music mix is great as well (but possibly because I'm old 😁)! Overall, the place is extremely welcoming, with a selection of games and sofas so you can sit and enjoy your drinks and socialize.“

“My wife and I visited after a hike at nearby Fort Sheridan on a Saturday afternoon. The beers are solid. We enjoyed the Italian Pilsner and the Light Lager. Both refreshing after our hike. There is a kitchen, but we did not order any food. The overall ambiance is relaxed. Board games are available, or you can throw darts. There is an outdoor covered patio areas. Very family friendly. Our bartender, Paul, was great. Very knowledgeable about the beers and other nearby breweries. Put this on your list of Highwood spots to check out.“

“We used Mickey Finn’s “Amber Room” for our ~100 person wedding and it was incredible!! We had so many complements on the venue about how fun and intimate it felt and was just an amazing atmosphere to celebrate in! I’m also going to give a lot of credit to the wonderful staff! Everyone loved the bartenders. The event coordinator (Kristen) couldn’t be better at her job!! From the time we booked to when we walked out the door at the end of the night, she was there and helping! She couldn’t have made it easier for us to enjoy the night. This is an amazing venue for any event, but highly recommend for a wedding if you’re looking for something more laid back but still beautiful and practical. Everyone loved the food and said it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to! We had so much fun and wouldn’t change a thing!“
