I drifted in. Like a misunderstood soul seeking cold comfort in a world that never asked if I was lactose tolerant.

The neon sign screamed “SWEET!”
But nothing in this life is sweet. Not really.

The froyo machines hummed like they were whispering secrets about my dreams. So many flavors. Too many flavors. Vanilla. Chocolate. Strawberry. Pineapple. Each one a different version of the person I could’ve been if things had just gone so much differently.

I chose cookies & creme boba frappé.

The boba sank to the bottom of the cup like my trust issues.
I stabbed at them with the spoon and it felt good.

It was creamy.
Too creamy.
Like it understood me.

The toppings bar glittered under fluorescent lighting — gummy bears smiling like they’ve never known heartbreak. Sprinkles scattered like optimism.

Will return when the night feels heavy again. 🖤🍦“

Got a Kiwi and Jamun (Java Plum, “Njaaval Pazham”) juice.
The Jamun juice was really good and tasted natural. I got it for nostalgia sake and was worth it.
The Kiwi on the other hand wasnt that great.

“Very good food, we opted to try this place instead of taking the kids to somewhere like mcdonalds and paying almost the same prices. Fries were delicious! The kids meals came with a slider cheeseburger, chicken bites, fries and juice so they got to try a little bit of everything. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommend for a quick bite to eat.“

“How crazy is this. Going to Sunset Foods I saw this sign in the window of a storefront to the West. Fortunately I found BRIGHT BOWLS owned and operated by a Highland Parker named Lindsay. I can’t describe the ambiance and wonderful products. You need to experience on your own. My favorite so far is the LoveABowl. Enjoy on site or to go. The seasoning blend used is excellent. I have to say they were the best fries I have had from a restaurant fast food or traditional. “Food was very good. I ended up with chilaquiles (with chicken breast) and my friend got the pupusas and dobladas. Really solid, and I appreciate the subtle differences in flavors between the Guatamalan dishes and standard Mexican fare. However, only 4/5 because ordering (in English) was difficult. I tried to get grilled skirt steak and a green chicken enchilada (as a single item, listed that way on the menu) but what was originally brought out was 3 green chicken enchiladas. I explained the issue and thought it was clear but ended up getting brought the chilaquiles. My friend got his pupusas but the dobladas was not brought and had to be ordered again. The food was delicious and I'm not a picky eater so this wasn't a huge deal, but others that need to order a specific thing, in English, may have trouble. I will be back though, and I will brush up on my Spanish.“

“Hit the Scooter's drive-thru on a whim over the weekend. Line was short, and we were able to 'scoot' through quickly. Coffee was strong, staff was friendly. I had a coffee with espresso shots and it did the trick - strong. My lady had a Carmel iced drink that she thought was a little sweet, but also good. would come back again and maybe try some of the food options.“
