“I didn’t walk into Sweet! Froyo & Candy.
I drifted in. Like a misunderstood soul seeking cold comfort in a world that never asked if I was lactose tolerant.

The neon sign screamed “SWEET!”
But nothing in this life is sweet. Not really.

The froyo machines hummed like they were whispering secrets about my dreams. So many flavors. Too many flavors. Vanilla. Chocolate. Strawberry. Pineapple. Each one a different version of the person I could’ve been if things had just gone so much differently.

I chose cookies & creme boba frappé.

The boba sank to the bottom of the cup like my trust issues.
I stabbed at them with the spoon and it felt good.

It was creamy.
Too creamy.
Like it understood me.

The toppings bar glittered under fluorescent lighting — gummy bears smiling like they’ve never known heartbreak. Sprinkles scattered like optimism.

Got a Kiwi and Jamun (Java Plum, “Njaaval Pazham”) juice.
The Jamun juice was really good and tasted natural. I got it for nostalgia sake and was worth it.
The Kiwi on the other hand wasnt that great.

The customer service the food in the environment are ideal if you care about your health and are interested in putting some quality ingredients in your body. I would copy the comments that my 4 year old niece said, “Joe is the expert” while eating her açaí bowl.“

“We ordered the Knockout and a rice bowl for takeout, but the order got a little late, so we ended up breaking our fast at the restaurant. My wife really loved the Knockout. The rice bowl was a bit spicy for me, but still tasted good, the guy in the specs was doing everything at once, taking orders, packing, and answering calls and he was moving fast, so no complaints about the service. Overall, good food and a good experience.“

“How crazy is this. Going to Sunset Foods I saw this sign in the window of a storefront to the West. Fortunately I found BRIGHT BOWLS owned and operated by a Highland Parker named Lindsay. I can’t describe the ambiance and wonderful products. You need to experience on your own. My favorite so far is the LoveABowl. Enjoy on site or to go. “Food was very good. I ended up with chilaquiles (with chicken breast) and my friend got the pupusas and dobladas. Really solid, and I appreciate the subtle differences in flavors between the Guatamalan dishes and standard Mexican fare. However, only 4/5 because ordering (in English) was difficult. I tried to get grilled skirt steak and a green chicken enchilada (as a single item, listed that way on the menu) but what was originally brought out was 3 green chicken enchiladas. I explained the issue and thought it was clear but ended up getting brought the chilaquiles. My friend got his pupusas but the dobladas was not brought and had to be ordered again. The food was delicious and I'm not a picky eater so this wasn't a huge deal, but others that need to order a specific thing, in English, may have trouble. I will be back though, and I will brush up on my Spanish.“
