“Today, we hosted a couples shower at Stay and Play Cafe! It was beyond amazing! The owners, Yesenia and Jose were so easy and delightful to work with, the staff was attentive, recommending and teaching games to our guests of all ages, the food was delicious(cheesy eggs and quesitos were scrumptious), and the atmosphere was just perfect! I can't recommend this cafe enough. I look forward to having other functions here and/or coming with a group of friends. I can't wait to start spreading the word to family and friends. Thank you Jose and Yesenia for making our day so special! Anita G.“

“So good! We shared the pulled pork wrap with I believe Swiss cheese. Also the yucca fries and some spinach empanada. My aunt had a Cafe Con Leche also. Everything was so delicious service was good bathrooms were spotless environment atmosphere very cute and comfortable. Definitely will be back to try other things exclamation point to be honest I've had Cuban food before and I thought it was kind of bland but everything here was seasoned so well full of flavor!“

“This place is amazing. The owner is extremely friendly and willing to share information about the coffee and food with no hesitation.I order an espresso every time, and I can full heartedly say that this is the BEST one in town. Not to mention the incredibly low price for the espresso. 2.49 for what I'd say is a triple shot is unbeatable. The coffee is from Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee.Instead of going to larger chains, visit this cafe for a change! Supporting this little cafe goes a long way, definitely go give a try if you are in the area.“

“This place is a total experience! The food is delicious, the decor is artsy and beautiful, and the owners are absolute gems. my family and I went for the first time yesterday and had the BEST time. we came for some quick pierogi but stayed for the ambiance, warm welcome, and fantastic conversation with the owners. This cafe is charming beyond belief and we will definitely be back. This is the perfect place to stop in with some friends or loved ones when you are out and about in the neighborhood. I guarantee you will want to come back again and again.“

“Jimmy's used to be kind of a hole in the wall but has now upgraded to their location on Montrose. It serves DELISH true NY style pizza. As a New England native in Chicago, Jimmy's is the only reliable NY slice around. You won't be disappointed. That being said, its better to get a whole pie than a reheated slice for that perfect experience. Garlic knots are so tasty and their fresh marinara is the perfect addition- tell your spouse to beware of your garlic breath! Salads are great also! Wait times for a pie on weekends/nights is a little tricky but worth it! Dining in is great- lots of high tops and booths for all preference. I met Jimmy once and if I remember correctly, he IS from NY... so its definitely original!“

“My wife and I ordered oat milk lattes and both were made to perfection. Some coffee shops tend to overheat oat milk and end up making it thinner and generally unpleasant to taste but these folks know what they're doing!Parking: Parking on the street nearby is fairly easy to find.“

“Great spot, I came in for a meeting and had a great cappuccino and food - would have loved to do jebena but it would have been too much for one! It smelled delicious, the French bread is incredible, the frittata was wonderfully flavorful, and so was the baklava. I hope this place succeeds! You know a place is the real deal when you’re the only white folks in there XD“

“The place is cozy and welcoming, the aroma inside is divine. We went in for a quick to go order of freshly baklava and there were so many varieties.Husband and I will definitely be back to enjoy more than the desserts. A perfect place for a coffee date.“

“Very good brunch spot. Small and cozy but they do take reservations, so we were able to get in with a large group with minimal wait. The food, especially the Spanish omelet was spot on. The potatoes that came with the dishes was excellent.“

“Tribu is a great Breakfast spot! We have been there twice now and have enjoyed our meals each time. Today my Eggs Benedict was spot on. I asked for my bacon crispy and that is what I got. Breakfast potatoes are nicely seasoned. My spouse had an omelette and really enjoyed it. Check Tribu out, we want this neighborhood gem to stick around.“

“This restaurant has a very cozy vibe. Keep in mind it's a smaller restaurant that has a good crowd, so finding a place to sit can be hard during rush hour. The workers are all incredibly kind. I would highly recommend getting their breakfast sandwich, it is so so so amazing. And of course nothing says "breakfast" quite like a slice of chocolate cake from The Bear.“

“Love the handy drive-thru. Also love the wheat free options like chocolate chip cookies, biscuit that can substitute some for bread on sandwiches, and other pastries. Lots of pastries. LOVE the scones. Vegetarian options are tasty. Had the Rubén sandwich yesterday and it was awesome. Also love the mission of the facility. Staffed by residents of Misericordia's homes. Decent prices and great taste with a cause!!“

“Not everything is perfect. There is good service, but the very plastic cachapa dough is nothing like the Venezuelan one, a lot to improve with that. The shredded meat is not the best either. I rescue the roast chicken. Tequenos are not the best either. Maybe I went on a bad day for them, but I am always honest with my reviews. It would be a 7.0 out of 10.“

“We've eaten there 3 or 4 times now, each time delicious food and very nice service. We were able to sit and chat without worrying about taking up table for too long. When offered a coffee refill we were leaving and I asked if I could have refill in a to-go cup, request received with a smile. Looking forward to our next visit!“

“Panes is my favorite sandwich place in Chicago! Their sandwiches are delicious and reasonably priced, and they bake their own bread fresh that is also available for purchase. Their soup is quite good, and they have a variety of dessert options. I recommend calling about 20 minutes ahead to save time on pickup orders, although I also enjoy walking in to eat there, with natural light and fun art on the walls. I usually order the Super Panes, although the Todo Italiano is also a favorite!“

“What a cool joint with colorful art and incredible empanadas. Had the pinto beans, black beans and vegan curry and each tasted amazing with their distinctly flavorful profiles, but if I were pressed for a favorite the vegan curry was my favorite. Also the horchata latte is a must try. Was so pleasantly surprised by this place and can’t wait to keep returning to try the rest.“

“This is the CUTEST cafe. The coffee was excellent and the food was delicious (I had the garden bagel, and WOW). It was pumping when I was there and the food/coffee still came out really quickly. I think everything was really reasonably priced considering how high-quality the ingredients are. The staff were so sweet and welcoming. I had an opportunity to talk to the owners and they were just as lovely. Can't recommend this place enough - I will be back!Dietary restrictions: I'm vegetarian and the garden bagel was SO good and super filling.“

“Wonderful restaurant. Sorry I didn’t get to say “Hello” to Chef Bolaños. He was talking to some friends. We were dining there on Sunday. A wonderful guitarist playing. Perfect music for dining. Great tapas! Love, love, loved the Pulpo a la Planxta, the Patatas Barillos and the Melon con Jamon Serrano. The Mariscos Paella was good, but I missed the crispy bottom rice. Nice little place. Great menu that lights up. It’s BYOB, and fortunately there is a store across the street that has wine! If you forget to bring your own. Have already recommended it to others.“

“Great place to get lunch! I like getting the duck confit sandwich, the goat cheese sandwich, and also the green lasagna. The staff are always really nice and helpful. Food usually comes out pretty fast - I often will call for pickup and it is ready within 10-15 minutes. Really great neighborhood spot!“

“This is a great neighborhood pub! We've come here for all the different meals and have not been disappointed. As they have expanded their menu it has only gotten better. Highlights are the pies, gin drinks, and the matcha latte. It's an unexpected fun spot for breakfast on weekdays too. If we lived even closer we would be here all the time. The ambiance is a traditional British pub which we love!“

“I think this place is really good, but there is room for minor improvements. When I walked in, the first thing I admired was all the greenery; it gives the space such an earthy and natural ambiance. However I was not a fan of how there was sign saying that no screens are allowed. I imagined that in a place that has a setup of a cafe, people should be allowed to use their laptops or iPads. We ordered two sweet crepes - the matcha crepe and the wildberry crepe. Both were a 10/10 in terms of the aesthetic presentation. The textures and sweetness of both crepes were amazing! I'm not even a matcha girlie, but I thought the crepe was so good! I also ordered the cardamom rose latte. It looked beautiful and tasted really refreshing. However, I'd personally go for a different latte next time because this one gave me more "chai vibes" instead of coffee vibes. In my opinion, the cardamom flavor kind of overpowered the coffee flavor. I do wish the menu had more sweet crepe specialty options, but especiallyyy more vegetarian-friendly savory crepe options. Overall, I can see myself coming back and trying something else!“

“This place carries a huge variety of magazines, including in foreign languages. That said, my favorite area to browse is the wall of books on Chicago; the various neighborhoods, unique bits of history, architecture and on & on. The cafe area excels in its own right with coffee & pastries - even vegan options. Enjoy a great cup of coffee and live music on weekends. Just a wonderful place.“

“The plating at Sweet Moon is so exquisite that I imagine a chef using a pair of tweezers to meticulously place each item to be displayed on the dish. My mother and I talk for at least two minutes about the layout and design of the plated food before diving in and being even more amazed by the flavor combinations. My favorite menu item is the Merengue Roulette, a gluten-free merengue with mascarpone pistachio cream, raspberry jam, baked almond, and whole pistachios. For such well-crafted and well-balanced dishes, the wait time is not long, usually not exceeding 10 minutes. Although the place is typically always filled with people all customers are respectful of the noise level and it is quiet and serene. Great place to work or catch up with a friend!“

“I’ve been to a ton of Chicago north side cafes, and there are two things I always crave / like to get:1. An egg and cheese bagel sandwich2. A Boston cream donutBoth of which knocked my socks off, the bagel sandwich was presented neatly in a basket, the bagel was flavorful and delicious, the bacon crisp and meaty cheese on egg all were flawless. The Boston cream had the right dough, was filled perfectly and had a delicious glaze, something I can’t say so much about my experience with Stan’s somewhat nearby.I also ordered an iced americano that came in a perfectly chilled metal tumbler.I don’t live nearby but I am now seeking out Spoken Cafe. So good.“

“Bia's is my go to place when nothing less than comforting will do! Nothing like a DELICIOUS well seasoned, cheesy, steak sandwich on any day will do people! “This place has the most incredible crepes, both sweet and savory. The only bad part is choosing what to get. We always go way overboard and get a couple different ones to eat as a family, but you can't help it. It's all delicious.“

“Great little cafe ! Typical food from South America ( Venezuela and Colombia ) , they serve great coffee as well. I also had a smoothie called “ cocada” made with coconut and condensed milk and cinnamon in the top that was incredibly delicious! “Pomeroy is a cozy spot for French food lovers, but it’s on the pricey side. I visited with a friend; she ordered a salad with beef, and I had a salad and two glasses of wine. She had one glass. In the end, we each paid $80. It’s a bit surprising how fast the cost adds up. So, while the food and place are nice, be prepared for the price.“

“This was my first experience with Georgian cuisine. First stop was the Khachapuri Ajaruli- gooey cheese, butter, and egg filled bread. Then I had the lamb Onakhuri - kabob pieces, potato, onion and Georgian seasoning served in a clay pan. My partner got the Chicken Tabaka - pan fried crispy whole Cornish hen served with a trio mix of Georgian sauces over potatoes. We wrapped up the evening with Neapolitan cake and Turkish coffee. There is no doubt that we could have ordered one or two things and been more than satisfied, but now we have plenty of leftovers for the next day. The food was phenomenal and the spices and seasonings were extraordinarily complimentary to the food. If you're looking for a unique experience while trying new food, look no further! The Chicago Diplomat Cafe is a must try!“

“Of all the places I've tried around the city, Taste of Colombia has the best coffee anywhere in Chicago. My favorite part though is the wonderful people who work there! I feel super fortunate to have them just two blocks from my house. Make sure to give them a try!How cool this place is! They have the best coffee and desserts in all of Chicago, but the best thing is the people who work there. Many thanks to Naima, Toni and Alejandra. “We stopped in one afternoon to Harmony Coffee Bar. You know what harmony is ? A combination of things or parts that forms a connected and unified whole. That just about sums up our visit to this adorable cafe. I ordered the Gold Crush Latte which is topped with Dalgona which melted into the latte giving it a slightly sweet and mellow flavor. My companion ordered an iced Gold Crush Latte so they could enjoy the Dalgona as it slowly released its sugary cookie flavor into the coffee beverage. As we savored our drinks in the pleasant and cozy seating, they prepared our Croffle, a combination of croissant and waffle, and it was crispy and buttery and caramelly. All in all, a harmonious mix of flavors and textures that added up to a very pleasant midday interlude.“
“Amazing place. ‘The best hot dog I’ve ever had’ a 10 year old Skokie resident. The food was amazing, we tried the strawberry lemonade, and the summer roast beef. “Doesn’t have any food really but their muffins are pretty good. The cappuccino is strong and the baristas seem to really know coffee. The atmosphere is cozy and happy, although it gets pretty crowded during the weekend. There is plenty of outdoor space and shares the space with billy bricks pizza and ice cream. What more could you need?“

“This is such a cute spot! We came early on a Sunday morning and only had to wait about five minutes for a table. Our server was kind and friendly. The coffee was delicious and served in varying styles of mugs which added to the homeyness and intimacy of the restaurant. I ordered the smoked salmon scramble which I ended up being a little disappointed by but I think that was just due to personal preference. I did really like the biscuit though! I think if I were to go again I'd get a sweet breakfast. My friend ordered some pancakes that looked super duper extra tasty. They make their whipped cream in-house and it was awesome. The pastries looked great too. We had a really nice time, thank you!!“
