“This place is a real gem! My family and I ordered takeout — the Inbox Pad Thai is a must-have. The thin rice noodles are a really nice twist to traditional Pad Thai. We also got the Lad Nar as an entree and the chive dumplings and shu mai as appetizers. I highly recommend the chive dumplings — they are super crispy on the outside and have a delicious filling! 🥟“

“Excellent food with the perfect spice level of my Penang curry. Food was fresh, attractive and delicious! Excellent service - our server even let us try a bit of Thai coffee- as neither of us had ever had it. I don’t ever drink coffee and typically don’t like it, but if I were to pick up that habit, I’d drink that stuff for sure-lol! Anna the owner checked in on us and was very attentive to all the guests. I highly recommend this place- and it’s byob!“

“This is a Thai place that is fairly new to the area. I ordered Pineapple Fried Rice, Pad Kee Mao, and Crab Rangoon. Wow— I love it! This may be my favorite place for Thai in Chicago. Spice level is perfect for those who love to eat spicy dishy- it is actually spicy, not American spicy.
Lots of Thai places don’t sell Pineapple fried rice which is one of my favorite dishes. It tastes perfect and authentic!
Please support this small business! The food is authentic and not Americanized!“

“The spicy basil curry had the best balance of heat without overwhelming the flavor, and the portion was just right. It was really loud, but I can't exactly blame them for some unruly clientele or being busy. It's a great alternative from Herb if you want tasty food without breaking the bank.“

“This is a great spot! My friend and I went last night and had a delicious meal. We ate in the cafe where the atmosphere was very cute and happy! It is perfect for a date night or an relaxing chat with a friend as most tables seat 2-3 folks. The service was very welcoming and considerate about our experience. We got spicy udon noodles with chicken and pad see-ew with beef~ each dish was delicious and I’m still thinking about the bouncy noodles with perfect sauce ratio! I will definitely come back with friends to make more happy memories. I hope you try it out! Thank you!“

“In-On Thai is truly the hidden gem of Chicago's Thai food scene. This family-run establishment offers the most authentic Bangkok-style cuisine I've experienced outside of Thailand. The husband-and-wife team who run the place are incredibly warm and attentive, often stopping by tables to chat and make recommendations.
Their Panang curry is legendary and their green curry might be the best in the city. The pad see ew has perfect wok hei flavor, and their crispy fish with jungle salad is a unique must-try. Don't skip crab wontons and papaya salad as starters - they're exceptional. Everything is made from scratch, and you can taste the freshness and care in every dish.
The restaurant itself is small and cozy with a cute ambiance. It's BYOB (conveniently, there's a liquor store next door), and the prices are very reasonable for the quality. The food comes out surprisingly fast, and portions are generous.
What sets In-On Thai apart is not just the food but the consistency - I've never had a disappointing meal here. Whether dining in or taking out, the quality remains top-notch. Just remember to buzz in when you arrive!
-Try the dishes at Thai spicy level if you're brave
-Don't miss their homemade peanut sauce
-Parking available, but watch out for pigeons under the L tracks!
Without a doubt, this is some of the best Thai food in Chicago. Five stars aren't enough!
Vegetarian options: In-On Thai offers excellent vegetarian options with many dishes that can be made with tofu instead of meat. Their crispy tofu with curry sauce is outstanding, and the deep-fried tofu appetizer is perfectly crispy outside and silky inside. The tofu Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are delicious vegetarian alternatives to the classic dishes. Their green and Massaman curries can be ordered vegetarian-style with tofu and extra vegetables, including authentic Thai eggplant. The papaya salad (som tum) is a fresh, vibrant vegetarian option, and they're always accommodating with customizing dishes to be vegetarian-friendly. The kitchen is happy to adjust spice levels to your preference, and the homemade peanut sauce pairs wonderfully with their vegetarian dishes.“

“First and foremost, the staff is hands down the best! Literally the friendliest staff I’ve ever encountered! And I’ve tried a few things on the menu and nothing has been a let down. Usually I regret straying from “the usual” but I never do here. The crab rangoon is the best I’ve ever had, the wings surprised me with how tasty and well cooked they were, the basil chicken egg rolls were bomb (so is the basil chicken over rice), and the Khao Soi is a best seller for a reason!“

“Some of the best Thai food in the city. Our favorite dishes include their mooping, chive dumplings, satay, pad Thai, and all the curries. The curries aren’t overly sweet like I’ve tasted elsewhere, and their pad Thai has just the right amount of tamarind to make it legit. Thank you for high-quality Thai food, R Haaan.“

“PS Bangkok is a great restaurant run by an even better person! My boyfriend and I visited this evening and had the BEST Thai food we’ve ever had. We ordered the Chive Dumplings to start and they were sooo chewy with a tasty chive filling. We also ordered the Siamese Curry Noodle with chicken and veggies! The noodle dish was soooo yummy and had great flavor. While eating our food, Sue, the owner, checked up on us and chatted with us as we ate. We had such a great time at the restaurant and chatting with her that we decided to stay for dessert and order Mango Sticky Rice, the perfect treat to conclude our wonderful dinner at PS Bangkok! Thank you, Sue for great food and even better company! ❤️“

“The only vegan option I believe was the pad see ewe. Later the waitress asked us if we wanted tofu a certain way and we thought we were talking about in our dish but it was a separate side. So that was a bit confusing, and we should have clarified too. Cute art on wall“

“Food was very good but they didn't have soup spoons & also rice should always come with your meals. We order Tum Yum Shrimp soup but had to order the rice separately.“

“I haven’t eaten inside the restaurant yet but we order take out almost weekly. We recently moved to the suburbs from Chicago and have been disappointed with the Thai places we’ve tried. We’ve finally found our go to place to order from! Food is always delivered still warm and fresh. You can choose your spice level and even the medium be quite spicy so order accordingly. We love this place and hope it stays around!“

“I’ve done takeout like 8 or so times: I’ve ordered just tea like 10 times. Love the Thai ice tea—got interested in making it and figured out their recipe by reverse engineering it.
Great sukiyaki dry, great chicken fried rice, tomyum soup, fresh salmon sashimi, and more. Best prices in the area for any Asian food! 4.6 is fair, I’d say 4.7 is more accurate. Big foodie so I’m not hyping them up, they have good service.
Parking: Addison has free street parking“

“Ben’s is my go-to Thai restaraunt. I’ve ordered takeout from them loads of times and have always been happy. The portions are generous and I feel it is a good value for my money. My favorite is the chive dumplings (although they stick together so I wish they would package them differently). They also have a weekday lunch special that is a good deal.
I saw someone mention how they didnt like their food and had a problem with the to-go cups having a lot of ice in it. I believe they freeze the styrofoam cups with water so there is a cup-shaped large ice cube in their to go drinks. Simple solution is to ask for no ice :)
I’ve never dined in, but it is your standard small hole-in-the-wall Asian restaurant with just a few tables. No frills. Good food.“

“The food here is so good—full of flavor, very nice thick sauces, some dishes you don’t see at every Thai restaurant (somtum, some interesting fish) and the servings are so generous when eating in. It’s also a beautiful, quiet space with lots of greenery, wood, kind of an elegant 90s feel. Truly one of my favorite places in Chicago.“

“I can't believe I forgot to review Benny Thai. Their lunch specials are delicious and at such a great price! For $10-11 you get your pick off lunch dish, an appetizer and a can of pop. Try the Pad Kee Mao if you like your food spicy, and the Pad See Ew if you don't. You get two egg rolls if you pick them as the app and they are very tasty. Also, the employees there are very friendly and welcoming. Recommended!“
“A must to go ! You won’t miss all good stuff and it’s supposed to be great Thai street food vibe, here in Chicago!“
