The food here is fantastic and the family that runs this restaurant is super kind and generous. Excellent sized portions which makes this a tremendous bang for your buck. “My wife and I were seated promptly at the bar on Friday night with our reservation. Drinks were delivered and were generous: my Macallan 12 year old was almost a double! Meal was served within 30 minutes: fantastic ribs, bbq pork chop, twice baked stuffed potato, coleslaw, creamed spinach. Perfection! $120 with top and tax. We will be back!“

Such a great place, where you cook the wagyu & kobe beef at your table. The food was delicious ?

Isao Tozuka, the chef and his wife Chiyo-san, are fabulous hosts, very friendly, and really happy to help and show you how things are do e.

“I came to a private event at Shaevitz. The staff was very kind and welcoming, the food was fantastic. The brisket and burgers are very flavorful. Shaevitz is conveniently located in downtown Highland Park with plenty of parking in the area. Supporting a conservative Kosher business is definitely a plus.

“An excellent Chinese BBQ place run by a very friendly and knowledgeable couple. They really know the art of BBQ and everything is cooked and prepared to perfection. The BBQ chef there had been around for at least a decade back from before the current owners took over the shop.

The prices are very reasonable and the taste authentic. The best part is buying BBQ from here saves me the time and hassle of going to Chinatown.“

“We went to firewater for their grinch brunch and it was amazing. I will absolutely do this every year now. The Grinch is hilarious and stays in character the whole time the food is delicious. There’s tons of options and you also have the option to just order off the menu. They serve bacon chicken tenders, eggs, macaroni, pancakes, French toast, cupcakes, cake, pops cookies, a different variety per table too. They have adorable drink menu for the season.
