“I've driven by the place for a year and kept thinking I should drop in. Finally stopped for a slice last month, and went back to try their smash burger just recently.

Love the place. They have excellent food and a kicky little interior, but I loved chatting with the owner as he made my food. One of the owners, at least. Anyway, curious to try their other offerings, and happy to meet a local small business owner and find them to be just good people. To me, that has more impact than the menu. But the menu is worth the trip, all the same!

I know the owner reads these reviews, so I say thank you for your excellent efforts. It's not a small thing to feed strangers food made with care and love, and it matters to some of us when we see it. Nothing but the best to you, my friend.“

“I had heard Monti's was the best place to get a Philly in Chicago, and since I've been craving one lately, I had to give it a try. I can honestly say it's the best Philly I've had in Chicago and the surrounding areas. It definitely did not disappoint.
I ordered mine with extra mayo and white American cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. The staff was friendly, the service was great, and the whole experience lived up to the hype. I highly recommend giving Monti's a try if you're looking for an authentic Philly cheesesteak!“

Loaded waffle fries that are light, crispy and a heaping canvas for BBQ sauce slathered smoked brisket with a sprinkling of jalapeno peppers. Burnt ends with unending flavor. Baked beans that included chunks of sausage and brisket. “Came here on a Saturday afternoon. Not so busy at 5pm but as soon as our food was served many people came for their takeouts. This is a store with more than 35 year old history. They established their reputation with very solid presentation of food. Chicken was crispy but not oily. Drums, wings, and thighs are all great. Fries too. They made fries using the same oil to fry the chicken I believe. They also offer multiple choices of fried fish but they came a bit oily.
They also have options for vegetarians! Their Greek salad was so fresh! I asked to remove the cheese and put the sauce on the side and they were able to accommodate it. The cucumbers were sweet and bell peppers were crispy.
