“Myself and a few friends went to Saltwater Coastal Grill for a girls night and it was great! The ambiance was perfect. It is decorated very nicely and has a relaxing vibe. The food was excellent! I highly recommend any of the sushi rolls and the baked oysters. The mocktails were also delicious. I will definitely be back!“

“Stopped by Mazmez Middle Eastern Grill for the first time and wasn’t expecting it to be this good.

Ordered a mixed grill plate and everything came out hot and fresh. The meat was tender with a nice char, and the portions were actually filling. The garlic sauce and hummus were on point.

What I liked most was how consistent everything felt — nothing rushed, nothing off. Staff were welcoming without being over the top.

“Room for improvement. The food is pretty good. Service is friendly. I’ve stopped here a few times and have had pitas, kebabs, and a few other items. Here’s what can get better and what will get me to stop more often. Let me add some hummus to my chicken pita. Maybe a couple tablespoons? Maybe for a small up charge? They don’t offer that option. I had to buy a side of hummus for $8 to enjoy a little hummus with my chicken pita. And then the side came with only ONE piece of bread. The hummus is REALLY good, but now I have a big bowl of hummus with no more bread to enjoy it with. Also, I prefer my hummus without pools of oil in it. A little drizzle, okay. But why drown the hummus flavor with so much oil? Anyway. Good place. Could be better. I’ll give them a try again and update my review if they’re able to raise the bar a little bit.“

“The food is delicious here and the people who work here are even better. I was eating in yesterday and there was a man who came inside who I believe was asking for work- he was washing windows. The owner or manager said they have a company that does it. So he could not give him the business. The man appeared to be a little unkept and possibly struggling. The owner asked if he was hungry and the man replied yes, he ended up making him fresh food and he left with a bag of food and some water. This interaction was so special and I truly hope their kindness is delivered back to them indefinitely. “This was our first time trying this place! Lamb wrap was superb! So moist and fabulous! Ground kabob was also tasty and a quart of lentil soup actually had pieces of vegetables, which was great! It's on the pricier side than your average middle eastern takeout place, but the food does not taste like your average middle eastern place either.. sooo much better! We also requested some modifications, which they actually did, so that was also pleasant. Girl on the phone was knowledgeable and immediately knew what awesome item to substitute for when they were out of one thing that we ordered. Highly recommend!“

“Delicious Somali restaurant in Chicago suburbs. My first visit to a Somali restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. Food was pretty good. Loved the Goat with rice and vegetables. Their tea was good too. Didn't care much for the orange juice made from concentrate. Lady at the counter does all the billing and orders. She spoke decent english. Had to wait to use the bathroom, which was not gender segregated. Interior is very basic, but food makes up for it.“
