“We tried Cut Stone in Kenosha last night. We started with the meatballs which were good. I would skip them and get either the bruschetta or stuffed mushrooms next time. I had the Crab Ragoon pizza made of cream cheese mixed with crab topped with mozzarella wonton strips, green onions and sweet chili sauce. It was creative and very tasty. My hubbt had a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. His was a bit floppy from all the toppings. Once it cooled off it was easier to eat a slice. The crust is more of what I'm use to which was delicious. The kind you can fold. Over all it was a bit pricy but I think it was worth it. He wishes he got a more creative pizza. We will be going back.“

“I was in town for one night in Kenosha and was wanting a good home made pizza. The internet indicated that Sal’s pizza was a good option. I drove to the place and found it was in a questionable part of town and on a Saturday night, no one was there and I thought uh oh. Already committed, I went in and ordered a small Sal’s stuffed pizza with extra sauce. The pizza was astoundingly delicious and made me wonder why the people of Kenosha aren’t frequenting this place. Based on my long history of eating all kinds of pizzas, there should have been a line out the door! Well done Sal’s!“

“Louie's is the best place to eat in Waukegan. Great Italian food, thin crust pizza, fried chicken and fish. Everything is great. They give you the best bread hot from the oven when you sit down. Huge bar. Family friendly. You can't go wrong at this place.“

I had a large pickup order today for myself and my family and when I arrived the kitchen manager came out to describe that they had to restart one of the pizzas, offering to let me go now with the rest of my order - plus the messup free for extra snackage - and that he would come deliver the remake himself in a bit so I didn’t have to wait. “We recently discovered Renzo’s and have dined in a few times already. In addition to excellent food, Rosie (the owner) and her daughter are so welcoming. We feel like we are eating at a family member’s house rather than a restaurant. Being there brings back wonderful memories of Sunday dinner at my Gram’s house. Portions are very generous and everything we have tried has been excellent! Make sure you try the Renzo’s fries (they are similar to a breadstick made from pizza dough with marinara sauce for dipping), the popovers (similar to a calzone and loaded with whatever ingredients you select and topped with their delicious marinara sauce), and of course their amazing pizzas. Renzo’s has become our favorite restaurant for Italian food and we visit often. Rosie greets us with a big hug and we love taking to her about Italy and our travels there.“

Not Michelin 5 star fancy, but hearty, generous portions, good service and not crazy expensive. The restaurant's one weak point is square footage. It fills to the brim on busy nights. A bar cuts across one corner of the space so it fits that bill if you just want a beer or fancy drink ... they have a classy drink menu if you want to indulge. It's family friendly and has a bit of a blue collar history and feeling.“

“Half price pizza night and overall great food and service make them a go to when we want pizza. The lunch buffet is another great option as well. Well several years later the half price Wednesday's are gone but the pricing is still below the other local pizza places for a deep dish pizza. We've been eating here over 30.years and the pizza is still tops.“
