“Had my first real coffee here almost 25 years ago. It was a double Shot In The Dark/Black Eye and it was outstanding. Still to this day, after having been to numerous coffee shops throughout numerous cities, it is still the best Shot in the Dark I've ever had. Penny Lane has great a vibe with plenty of atmosphere and culture.“

I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to enjoy it but the baristas were so kind and thoughtful. They worked through options with me without making it a hassle at all. “My wife and I ate here for the first time today. I ate the fried shrimp and it was amazing. She ate the Monte Cristo and loved it! Our server was Destiny and she was the best! She even made my wife a special drink she asked for. Definitely will return!“

I choose to park and go into Target even if all I want is coffee because the regular Starbucks right by it is so busy and not as friendly.“

Then after 5-6 people came an went inside & thru the drive thru they said what are you waiting on. I said VENTI mocha cookie crumble & waited another 5 mins to be given the wrong drink size. I should have said something there but it probably would have taken another 5 mins for a new drink. I was done by this point an walk out. Very disappointed with my visit today. “I initially had a negative experience with overly sweet coffee and subpar food, but I’m thrilled to say that things have improved significantly! After giving it another chance a few months later, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the coffee and food. The changes they've made have really transformed my experience. Highly recommend giving this place another try!“

“Pennyjohns has the most amazing coffee and tea in town. you will be able to find your favorite coffee because of the large variety that they have here. Also the owner is the sweetest most helpful person I have come in contact with in a long time. Not to mention the coffee is ground in store when purchased. So very fresh! Plus the gifts are so cute.“

“So, at first 3 of my 4 drinks were made incorrectly. And of course my coworker who I sent to get the drinks did not know what they should've looked like. I called Jodie the manager and she said she could give me a refund, I just had to come in to the store because they cannot do it over the phone. I had to come in the next day and when I did she was so kind and refunded me for the incorrect drinks and even covered the 2 drinks I was getting that day. I do come here quite a bit (at least 3-4 times a week) and this was the first time my drinks were made incorrectly.“

“As I was dropping my son off at work in Northpark, I witnessed the owner and an employee rush outside to save a lost dog. First Ave is very busy at this time of day and the poor dog could have been killed. We have been in baskin Robbins many times and they have always been so polite!“

“I called ahead to tell them I would be placing a large breakfast order the next day, and I didn't want to overwhelm the kitchen during the morning rush. A sweet lady wrote down what I was getting and said they would have it ready. I showed up at 8am and easily picked up 31 breakfast sandwiches and hash browns. It was a fantastic experience. Thank you to everyone who started my day off on the right foot.“
