“Very atrentive staff and TASTY beers! Only $8 each which is way better than Chicago prices. They even gave our kids little toy packs with yo-yos and rubber spiders! I recommend the tot-chos (tater toots with nacho toppings over them) and the vanilla porter!

“I have been to this location a couple times the first time everything was right at expectations for Beggars Pizza. However when I visited 10/31/2024 it wasn't the best experience I pre-ordered a deep dish and boneless wings for 645pm. With this pre-order it gave the establishment over an hour to prepare my food. When I arrived my order was still not ready and I was given an ETA of 15 minutes this was kind of annoying but I understood it was Halloween and they did seem pretty busy. When I first arrived there was a small box up on the heater and the lady working the desk when asking the kitchen about my order only inquired about the pizza. I was so worried that my wings were already prepared in that small box and that the quality would be terrible. I was hoping they would do the right thing and re make them but they didn't and those were my wings and they were in fact not good. The lady at the front desk seemed overwhelmed and even though my order was sitting ready in the window when I returned she disappeared to the back area making me wait longer for the order I placed at this point about an hour and 40 mins for. She just needed to man her position and get the orders out that she did already have in the hot window. That was pretty annoying but overall I would go back just for the pizza because that wasn't bad I just would have liked the kitchen timing to be better so all parts of my order came out hot and fresh.”

“My wife and I had dinner here last night, 11/8/24. We decided to redeem our Monthly Buffet Credit.
It was a lovely experience! Our server was so sweet and gave us the right amount of attention as was never bothersome. Any plates that we finished were whisked away quickly!
Tony over on the grill did a fantastic job making me a lovely medium rare ribeye and made sure I had all the fixins!
While things were cooking up, Tony had the best attitude of anyone in that buffet! I throughly enjoyed his singing, cracking jokes, and the slick moon walk that he hit while my steak finished up.

“We went here the other night after seeing a concert. Our waiter Oscar recommended food and appetizer. His recommendations were absolutely on point. The food was delicious but our waiter Oscar was one of the best that we have ever had. He was friendly, personable and he had an all around good energy that made you feel like you had known him for years instead of mere minutes. Thanks Oscar for adding to our wonderful night. We will definitely be back for the food and requesting Oscar as our waiter.”

“Sat 1/27 prime dinner time we ordered 2 pizzas and 2 different cheese stick. Was done in a reasonable time 30 min. Pricing was on point for the great quality of pizza. The pizza was excellent best pizza I had around town. Staff was super friendly and very helpful.”

“We were a group of 9; 6 adults & 3 children looking for a more sit-down place to eat when the owner talked us into staying telling us we would not be disappointed, and we were not. Their menu had a huge variety of food to choose from, and all of us thought the food was great! I had French toast, hash browns & sausage. My husband had an awesome shrimp omlette that had more shrimp on it than anywhere else we have ever eaten that put shrimp in its breakfast. And even thought it was all packagesd as take out, there were three tables available to sit and eat. It worked for us! Great job S&G! It's a well-earned 5 star review!”

“Ordered the turkey leg, rib tips, and royal burger. Everything was good. The owner is so pleasant. He gave sample jerk tips while we waited and upgraded an order of our fries to garlic parmesan. As the kids say, it was bussin! We originally wanted the cherry chicken sandwich, but they were all out, so they upgraded us to the royal burger. I highly recommend it! The homemade sauce was really good. Different from what I am used to, and it paired nicely with the turkey. I will be back to try other things!”

“Disappointing..the chili/koney sauce was very salty to the point it was nesrly inedible. ..I think since it was late afternoon, it simmered to the point where it became concentrated due to evaporation and it needed some liquid to even out the extreme salt content... the dogs were good, the chili cheeseburger was almost impossible to eat..so messy. Fries were.probably the highlight of my visit the lady behind the counter was excellent though 👍👍 Great service I probably would try them again though....possibly the saltiness was an anomaly”

“Delicious tacos, amazing price on readily available tamales, good authentic Mexican food and best of all for all you 2020 folks... I felt pandemic safe there - they seem to actually take it seriously with a full wall to wall barrier and turnstile (for payment and outgoing food) between them and customers, but you can also see that they're masked up properly back there. It's cash only, so be prepared to sanitize/wash hands, but they also have an ATM right there that only costs $1 to use. I'm not often in Gary, but I wouldn't even bother to look for anywhere else to eat next time I am, I look forward to going back to elios!”

“as a truck driver, i've been to many subways. I have been to this one in Gary IN like 7 times in the last 2-3 months. I have been served by a handful of different employees. They always have EXCEPTIONAL customer service here, easily the best subway customer service i have ever experienced. Always friendly, and always tolerant of my (probably unusual) request to toast bacon on the side for extra crispiness. The subs the employees make here are always absolutely delicious too. This is easily my favorite subway i have ever been to. I seriously don't know how they can get it right so frequently. These guys all deserve a raise”
