“We found this place on our way to Raleigh, NC from Chicago. Stopped here after reading reviews online. TRUST THE REVIEWS that say this place is good...IT IS GOOD! We just moved to the Chicago area from South Texas, so we know good Mexican food and this place does not disappoint! If you are anywhere near Gary Indiana, you have to stop in to Chela's. It's not fancy at all, but is very clean and the prices are good. We had the Birria Tacos, chips and salsa and several different meat tacos. Then, on our way back from North Carolina, we stopped in again! My fiance thinks this is the best Mexican food outside of Texas. THAT'S saying something! We can't wait to go back!“

“Holy smokes. What an amazing taco place and went here for it the first time because my boss said that it was a Pretty good little taco joint, he said you'll probably only be able to eat 2. And I said I've never been able to only 2 tacos in my life. I'm 6'2 300 pounds, they didn't have a 2 Taco dinner so I bought the 3 taco dinner with rice and beans. And these tacos were beautiful, you were allowed to get chorizo and steak on the taco, and it was so full of meat I could only eat 2!!! he was right. , do yourself a favor and stop at this place. “Was headed to my favorite Taco place and a friend suggested this place instead based of their burrito that “HUGE” and let me tell you, I was bummed with the change of plans but I was not disappointed!
The had adequate seating, comfortable ambience, CLEAN tables, and fast service. He got the “named burrito” (just forgot the guys name) and a small cheese fry, and I got the gyro sandwich. Mine was H•U•G•E and his was massive. I plan on returning and trying their tacos. They have specials, Tuedays is $2 tacos at time being. I highly recommend if you’re looking for this type of food. I’ll be back for sure.“
