“This place was absolutely amazing, the design and comfort of the place really brings out the best in people—the food was on a whole different level. It had everyone at the table craving more and more! The butter chicken and naan was incredible—the naan was so soft and so fresh—the butter chicken was so flavorful and really tasty. The atmosphere was absolutely superb! The chicken tandoori and the lamb ( bhuna was our choice), was out of this world. This place is absolutely amazing, i recommend visiting this place when you’re in need for a flavorful night.“

“We ate here last night and it was exceptional! We went with a native of India who has been eating here often because he loves the food. They have authentic and Americanized and American food options. There are MANY gluten-free options! In fact there are more Gluten-free options than most restaurants. We loved the mild and extra spicey options that we tried. The place was clean and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly. We really enjoyed the experience. I would highly recommend and we will be back!“

“Had such a great Halwa Poori experience at Kolachi Grill Bella Vista. Used to travel 45 minutes to go to Pennant hills one, having another one so close to home is a blessing. The poori’s were so fresh, halwa was so yummy while Channa’s were extremely delicious. The staff was so cordial, even served free chips for the kids. Must recommendations who love eating desi food or Halwa Poori over the weekends.“

“Delicious food and very lovely service staff. The charcoal flavor on the chicken and the pita added a great depth of flavor! There is a 10% off lunch special for certain items. The inside of the restaurant is on the smaller side, and the ventilation wasn’t the best (especially when it was already humid outside), but these were very minor issues that didn’t impact my overall experience. Looking forward to trying more things and coming back in the future.“

“Everything we ate here was fantastic! We had onion rava dosa, dynamite chicken, and shrimp mandi, and it was all really flavorful. Dosa was nice and crispy and came with chutney and sambar. The dynamite chicken was a great appetizer in a delicious sauce. The mandi was great. It wasn't on the main menu, so you might need to ask for it. Staff was nice and helpful also. Best Indian restaurant we've been to in Indy so far.“

“I was so excited when I saw this place spring up a few months ago before they even opened. Finally got the chance to stop in today for dinner and had one of the best meals I've had in years. We ordered hungry and bought a ton of food because we were excited to try so many things. The panner pakora was make you dance in your seat good. And the Samosa dilli style was mouth watering. Samosas were still crispy even under all of that delicious sauce and veggies. Portions are generous and price is very fair. I spent about $40 and my husband and I Gorged our bellies and still brought home a feast. Sad we didn't save room for more deserts. We can't wait to come back and try more. This place is going to have such success and I'm glad I am here for it!“

“We had an early dinner here. First time at the Spicy Donor, and don’t have much experience with Indian food, but really enjoyed the chicken Marsala. The food was really good but a little pricey. However, we had lots of leftovers, so we’ll get more meals from it. We’ll be back and bring others!“

“We are only in Indianapolis for Gencon and Christmas every year, and I always insist we visit our friends at India Garden. It is easily the best restaurant in downtown Indianapolis, and they deserve more hype!!!

We can always bring friends, because there's something for everyone on the menu, and when there is a buffet going, it's an easy way to try lots of wonderful food. Lots and lots of vegetarian options, and things that are labeled mild in spice are genuinely mild and approachable! I convinced my fiancee to go with me twice this Gencon, because is consistently easy, affordable, filling, and absolutely delicious. Maybe next year I can convince her to come to India Garden with me THREE times! ;D

I also just think the restaurant itself is very gorgeous, with white tablecloths, red cloth napkins, and calming sitar music. Servers are knowledgeable and always so easy to talk to, if you have questions. Descriptions on the menus are very thorough, and the dishes have numbers if you feel shy pronouncing the names. An extremely approachable way to try Indian food, so please don't worry if it's your first time!!

My fiancee loves anything with lamb, especially their Lamb Madras, and I am fully obsessed with Khadi Kofta and anything made with Paneer. When we go back home, I am always trying to recreate these dishes for us, but they never quite compare to what India Garden makes.

“First time here and we will be back! Tried the tandoori vegetable momos and a veggie wrap with some iced chai. It was so very delicious!!! The staff greeted us with smiles which made us feel comfortable since it was a totally new experience. Very glad to spend our money here.“

“Got the paneer tikka masala and it was delicious. Very rich and buttery flavor. Ordered it medium spicy. Could have used a bit more spice but still tasty. It came with rice and naan and was reasonably priced! Also ordered the mango lassi and Gulab jamun. Mango lassi was a too sugary and not as thick as I would like but overall, not bad. Will definitely be coming back for the masala and naan!“

“Food is so delicious and very authentic. Buffet is reasonably priced. Lunch Buffet Friday to Sunday, a very large selection of delicious food served with a choice of fresh bread, either plain or garlic. Sukhi, did a wonderful job keeping us filled up with bread and beverages. I have eaten there several times and the food is always fresh and delicious. I highly recommend that you try it out!“
