We've been to this place several times before...the server we had this time was not so welcoming...I believe she was annoyed that I asked her to repeat herself...I'm 100 years old and I wear hearing aids...our dinners were delicious...I'd never had birria tacos before...however....I ordered a steak burrito plate to go...the tortilla was totally soggy....and the guacamole was black...it certainly did not look anything like the guacamole appetizer we had with dinner...I'll never...read full review
La Carreta platter is the best with a margarita
We initially came to La Carreta Restaurant & Bar in Schererville with a BIG group for a surprise party, so the seating situation was a little daunting at first. My family of four simply wanted to enjoy dinner and leave, and after a little confusion and negotiation, the staff graciously allowed us to have our own table. Once that was settled, it was smooth sailing!
