“We initially came to La Carreta Restaurant & Bar in Schererville with a BIG group for a surprise party, so the seating situation was a little daunting at first. My family of four simply wanted to enjoy dinner and leave, and after a little confusion and negotiation, the staff graciously allowed us to have our own table. Once that was settled, it was smooth sailing!

We immediately ordered two strawberry margaritas and one lime margarita on the rocks. They were made perfectly—exactly what we were hoping for! 😊

Our family ordered two Texas steak, chicken & shrimp fajitas, three shrimp tacos, and a Texas Burrito loaded with everything. The steak was tender, the shrimp was juicy, and the chicken was seasoned to perfection. The flavor of the food was unmatched compared with similar restaurants in the area. Everything was absolutely delicious! I was only able to capture a picture of the fajitas, but trust me, everything was flavorful.

Our waiter, Jaime, was wonderful—truly one of the best servers we’ve had in a very long time. He was attentive, personable, and made the experience feel welcoming and memorable.

Needless to say, we will be back! The atmosphere was clean, organized, and family-friendly. We truly appreciate all of the accommodations and hospitality!“

Filthy floors bathroom and the garbage cans were all overflowing with everything from beverages to food and ketchup all over the place. this is so hard to believe that the place has been open a little longer than 1 year and looks like that. stay away go to merrillville location because they actually do keep it super clean.“

“Went in not too long ago on a Saturday for lunch, from the time we walked in, The owners greeted us with a smile and were very personable, which is a lost art these days, so we were very comfortable from the get go, at that time we had multiple questions about the menu and AGAIN the owners explained every question we had in detail with no fluff, I ordered Italian Wedding Soup which is the BEST I’ve ever eaten, and finished with The Mostro… Great big portions and the food itself was amazing, we finished with desert and when we got the bill… again we was pleasantly surprised… I recommend to the highest powers that be that Ammirato’s Meatball Cafe is a hidden Gem and will definitely return for a different item on the menu“

“We visit BIBIBOP about once a month as it is a 45 minute drive for us. Every time we visit everyone is always nice and personable and the food is always great. Today we met Nicole and she is a wonderful person. Very energetic and kind. She is an asset to BIBIBOP and deserves the praise!“

I had a taste for something different today. Sometimes in Northwest Indiana, it feels like we tend to have many of the same restaurant choices, and I wanted to try something new without having to drive too far from home. Dante’s definitely delivered.

The menu has so many great choices that I honestly didn’t know what to order! I started with an appetizer, which was absolutely delicious, and decided to order a small pizza to take home.

But what really made my first experience stand out was the service. I sat in the bar area and was taken care of by Lindsay, who was absolutely fabulous. From the moment she learned it was my first time there, she took the time to explain things, tell me about the different specials throughout the week, and even helped make sure my pizza was ordered exactly the way I wanted it.

Lindsay is not only a great bartender, but her level of customer service is exceptional. Her attentiveness, personality, and overall service are the kind of experience every restaurant should strive to provide.

“When we first moved to NWI, we first visited Pops when they were located closer to Jewel. At first, when we ordered our beef juicy, the beef was still dry. Over the years, they have gotten better. The beef is juicy, tender, and tasty. So juicey that now, they wrap your beef and then put your wrapped beef inside a plastic bag for take out orders. The beef here is much better than the overrated beef sandwich at Portillos. The large order of fries is enough to share.“
